Jack Simon Abbott is a British Labour and Co-operative Party politician who was elected the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ipswich in the 2024 general election. [1]
Abbott grew up in Suffolk. [2] He was a councillor on Suffolk County Council, being the "Labour group spokesperson for children’s services, education and skills". Later he worked for a trade association for renewable energy. [3] He had also worked as a teaching assistant at a school in Ipswich. [2]
