Luke Charters (born 18 August 1995) is a British Labour Party politician elected as Member of Parliament for York Outer in the general election held on 4 July 2024. [1]

Charters was educated at Huntington School, York before graduating from Oxford University with a degree in philosophy, politics, and economics. He later obtained a master's degree in political science at the University of Chicago. [2] [3] He previously stood for election for York Outer (as Luke Charters-Reid) in the 2017 general election when he was 21, coming second to the Conservative Party candidate, Julian Sturdy. [4] [5]

Personal life

He has a wife and a young son. [3]
