Helena Dollimore is a British Labour and Co-operative politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Hastings and Rye since the 2024 general election. [1] She previously served as a councillor St Helier ward in the Merton London Borough Council from 2021-2024. [2]

Personal life

Dollimore attended Heathfield Community College, and aged only 17 gave a speech at the 2011 Labour Party Conference. She attended St Hilda's College, Oxford, and during her time as a student she was the chair of the Oxford University Labour Club. [3]

After university, Dollimore worked for Save the Children, working in environments from refugee camps in Bangladesh to the civil war in Yemen. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she trained as a vaccinator with the St John Ambulance, volunteering at a pharmacy in Hastings. [3]
