Article tagging for a project

I'm not sure where this should be brought up but Category:Articles Archived by "Project Archive" seems a bit irregular, the tag is visible on articles but maybe it should be applied to talkpages instead? The project itself seems to be a proposal, not an active project, so I can't post this same message to the project talkpage (yet). ☆ Bri ( talk) 16:15, 28 September 2023 (UTC) reply

I'm a bit confused about the interpretation of these. FAKEARTICLE says if it is looks like an article it might be deleted, but STALE says a user draft can be left indefinitely. Can a draft article be left indefinitely at a users top user page rather than a subpage? For example User space drafts prevented from being moved to the main space only because of the GNG are not to be kept indefinitely. There seems to be a lot of conflicting information between these rules.

An additional and related question, NOTSUITED says templates intended for articles should not be used, does this include navigation templates for topics intended to be included in articles ("Part of a series on...")? Seems like it would. Does this also get into FAKEARTICLE territory if the user page and spammed with such navigation templates? —DIYeditor ( talk) 06:07, 10 November 2023 (UTC) reply

Talk:Gibraltar/primary sources Talk:Gibraltar/secondary sources

2 pages created by Vassyana back in 2010/2011 and have never been used. The editor hasn't logged in since 2020. As housekeeping I tried to suggest deletion at MFD. When I try to add I get a malformed code "{{mfd|1={{mfd|1==Unsorted=".

I can't see what I'm doing wrong? W C M email 10:29, 22 January 2024 (UTC) reply

Clarification

On the main article, regarding the deletion of one own talk page or sandbox, it says this:

"If you wish to clear your user talk page or sandbox, just blank it."

Does this mean, just Edit it and delete everything (which leaves a copy in the View History page), or is there a tool that actually blanks it? Some clarification would be appreciated. Raven-14 ( talk) 12:45, 26 March 2024 (UTC) reply

Does this mean, just Edit it and delete everything (which leaves a copy in the View History page) Yes; the policy which governs what you can/can't do with your own talkpage is at WP:UOWN. More experienced users tend to archive material they want off their talkpages rather than blanking it. How to do that can be found at WP:ARCHIVE. Grandpallama ( talk) 13:39, 26 March 2024 (UTC) reply
