Any body fancy a beer to discuss matters Wiki before Birmingham? LoopZilla 14:14:09, 2005-09-12 (UTC)
Any sign of the following (Liverpool 3 Arsenal 6) meet-up write-up? Charles Matthews 16:41, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
I've been told that today's issue of The Times has an article about the 9 January Wikipedia meetup with Jimbo. The ferret gets a mention. :) — Psychonaut 13:47, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm going to be in London from July 13 - 23... any chance of there being any Wikipedian meetup then and there? *Dan T.* 15:28, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Hey guys, as I am back in London now and need to keep occupied I decided to organize an informal meetup this month. My proposed time and date would be 7pm , Saturday 12 January, 2008. Location: ?, somewhere relatively central and easy to get to and most importantly: has WiFi and is affordable. Anybody up for it? Will start posting this on possible candidates talk pages starting Monday. Poeloq ( talk) 19:54, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
There's another meetup being planned here, by the way. Majorly ( talk) 12:39, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
Pembury Tavern in Hackney ( map)
Tollgate Tavern at Beckton E6, ASDA ( beerintheevening.com)
West Ham and Plaistow NDC The Hub at Canning Town
Somewhere near Beckton would be great. 81.86.68.253 ( talk) 17:57, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
I've had a message from someone suggesting that there are Wikipedians who may be under age for meetings in the pub. There are therefore two aspects of accessibility.

I enjoyed my first time at the London meeting this month. I got there on the hour and, whilst I was on the lookout for young, nerdy-looking chaps (narrow-minded? perhaps), I ended up asking the bartender, who had no knowledge of the event. I think telling the staff on the bar about the meeting, as well as a bigger sign on the tables, would help prevent newcomers receiving strange looks having asked random pub-goers whether they knew anything about Wikipedia! I'd love to come but unfortunately I can't make the September date... Are there any plans for an October one yet - is it likely that it'll be held on second Sunday (11th Oct)? User:Madriguera 10:51 19 Aug 2009 (UTC)
Sue Gardner (Executive Director, WMF) is coming to the next meetup (April 11th). I expect lots of people will want to come and talk to her about the WMF. What is the best way of letting Londoners (and people further afield, I guess) know? -- Tango ( talk) 19:26, 26 March 2010 (UTC)
If I understand this schedule correctly, there will be a meetup on June 14. I'll probably be in London that day

It was nice to meet some of you guys at the pub yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately I'm hardly ever in London on a Sunday (and not often on other days either!), so it was good to have the opportunity. @ WereSpielChequers, Johnbod, and Edwardx: and the others whose names I can't now remember. Really sorry to have missed RHaworth. Deb ( talk) 12:58, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
