The result of the discussion was: merge to Category:Television episodes about religion. MER-C 05:36, 27 December 2019 (UTC) reply
Nominator's rationale: While there might be an original idea behind the separation of this and Category:Television episodes about religion, it isn't shown in the scope or really in the name itself. Both categories are "Religion-related". Gonnym ( talk) 19:11, 18 December 2019 (UTC) reply
This cat contains 3 subcats - Category:Christianity-related television episodes, Category:Islam-related television episodes & Category:Jewish-related television episodes. If this cat is deleted, will its subcats be moved to Category:Television episodes about religion? Jim Michael ( talk) 19:23, 18 December 2019 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: The parent Category:Eurasian Wikipedians has been deleted many times going back to a CfD in 2008, and it would seem the only purpose of this is to act as a container WP:SMALLCAT for Asian and European-ancestry Wikipedians. Delete and salt. Le Deluge ( talk) 14:22, 18 December 2019 (UTC) reply

The result of the discussion was: merge. MER-C 05:53, 26 December 2019 (UTC) reply
Nominator's rationale: Most other members of Category:Engineer regiments just have a simple "country" format, there's only three members of this one so there's no need to distinguish between branches of the Swedish services. Le Deluge ( talk) 14:10, 18 December 2019 (UTC) reply

  • Keep. Otherwise you might as well delete Category:Engineer Regiments of the United States Army Saftgurka ( talk) 22:58, 18 December 2019 (UTC) reply
WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is no argument. The difference is that the US military is much bigger, and so has many more engineering units, such that dividing it by service (debatably) makes sense. But for Sweden we are only categorising a handful of units, there's no need for WP:OVERCATEGORISATION. Le Deluge ( talk) 01:11, 19 December 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Merge -- I have looked at the one article in the target and it is all about the army. It is unlikely that the Swedish navy or air force would have regiments, let alone engineer regiments. The subject here is a useless category level. Peterkingiron ( talk) 14:04, 20 December 2019 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: For an organism such as Limpet or Umbonium giganteum being edible is a non-defining characteristic. Edibility is also subjective (see points made in cephalopds CFD).  Note: Category:Snail dishes should be placed in Category:Edible molluscs and Category:Gastropods. The result of the discussion was: rename. MER-C 05:54, 26 December 2019 (UTC) reply
Nominator's rationale: Primary topic. Calvin College was officially renamed in July, and the relevant pages were renamed as Calvin University (Michigan). However, the other institution with the same name is more recent and appears to be a lot less notable, so I boldly moved it to Calvin University (South Korea) and promoted the Michigan one to Calvin University as WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Several incoming links about research on Nazi Germany and astronomy were for the Michigan one, so they were misleading but are now correct. – Fayenatic London 10:22, 27 November 2019 (UTC) reply

Nominator's rationale: The only content of this category is the single subcat, Category:Pedestrian zones of Saint Petersburg, which should simply be upmerged to Category:Car-free zones. Anomalous+0 ( talk) 12:59, 6 December 2019 (UTC) reply
  • Restructure tree -- The parent seems to cover at least two situations: islands (and perhaps other places) where there are no cars; and pedestrianised city streets, of which there are a lot in Category:Pedestrian malls. Mall is an Americanism, which I suspect is little used elsewhere and many of the national subcats concern pedestrianised city streets. The equivalent to mall in UK is a shopping centre, normally purpose built and wholly under cover; this is perhaps a third class. Perhaps the category under discussion should be renamed [:Category:Pedestrianised streets in Russia]] and become a subcat of Category:Pedestrian malls. This category consists solely of redirects to that page, which is unlikely to change given the precedent set at that AfD; therefore, this category is unnecessary (especially since Category:Sydney New Year's Eve already exists to categorize the parent article and related topics). ♠ PMC(talk) 03:12, 18 December 2019 (UTC) reply
