WP:SPORTCRIT easily. I notice that as far as I can tell there's no American Football-specific guideline (I'm not familiar with American Football or its history on Wikipedia and I'm sure the lack of a football-specific guideline probably has to do with
this RfC I'm not going to read through), but from the applicable guidelines that I'm aware of, the article's subject has notability as demonstrated by reliable sources. -
