Branden Bowen fails
WP:NGRIDIRON. He has not played a game in a qualifying league (see:
PFR page), nor has he coached in a qualifying capacity. Outside of this, he has received only
routine,
run-of-the-mill sports coverage. —

The article from The Salt Lake Tribune describes his commitment to Ohio State, is in-depth, and is independent. In line with
WP:YOUNGATH I'm a bit hesitant to count local coverage of the athlete from that period of time.
The Columbus Dispatch, reprinted on BuckeyeExtra.com appears to be the epitome of
WP:ROUTINE sports coverage that describes that the article subject broke his leg.
Taken together, while he's marginal on
WP:GNG, I'm not sure that this extent of coverage is enough for notability—especially given the lack of any sort of coverage outside of his home area and the local Columbus area. —

@
BeanieFan11: If you're going to substantially modify your comment after I responded, as you did
here, would you please indicate it explicitly in the text that you insert? And, that so-called "
The Akron Beacon Journal" source is a reprint of an article from The Columbus Dispatch, which describes how the player is now once again playing football now that his leg is healed. It's more
routine hometown coverage of a local college sports team. —

keep passes
WP:GNG. Not all the sources provided look usable for notability, but enough are to show a pass.--
