status should be changed if collaborative activity resumes.
This project is, broadly speaking, a group of editors devoted to supporting and further developing the community of the English Wikipedia and making contributors, both tenured and inexperienced, more comfortable. The tentative plan is that the project will thrive on user-created proposals, as explained below. If there is sufficient support for a particular proposal, we will collaborate to implement the idea. It should be noted that this project is not intended to be similar to
Wikipedia:Esperanza in any way.

Rehman (
talk): I do understand that Wikipedia is on the brink of total collapse. Hence i do support this project. But, i also do not want to be part of a ton of users who do little, which will just make things complicated. Its better i leave the job to the dedicated Wikipedians who really can do things. But yes, i would like to support in any way i can. Best regards. (10:30, 16 December 2009 (UTC))
Examples of goals
Some examples of what we hope to do is:
Explore other Wikimedia wikis and see what they do to support their local community.
Make it easier and less overwhelming for novice editors to become more involved.
Find ways to induce more productive behavior among contributors.
Help Desk - a page dedicated to asking and answering questions about Wikipedia, and how to find and use our features.
Reference Desk - a collection of pages dedicated to answering general questions. This is broken down into several areas. Click on the link that is most closely related to your question. (i.e. Science, Mathematics, Language, etc.)
