Hi 15lsoucy, and welcome! I noticed that many of your recent edits have been to add internal links (links that direct to other pages within Wikipedia). Speedy deletion nomination of Aegialeia

A tag has been placed on Aegialeia requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{ hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Glad to help! Wareh ( talk) 00:03, 3 December 2009 (UTC) reply

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Bill Nye: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned.

You recently reverted vanadalism by 24.98.181.162. However, you did not place a warning on his/her talk page. It is great when alert wikieditors like yourself revert vandalism to help maintain the integrity of the Wikipedia project. However, the other half of recent changes patrol is giving an appropriate warning to the vandalizing editor. These can be found at WP:UTM. WikiProject Theatre Newsletter - February 2010

The WikiProject Theatre Newsletter (Febrauary 2010)
The WikiProject Theatre Newsletter!
Issue 5 - February 2010

Welcome to the latest WikiProject Theatre newsletter (the first in quite a while!) bringing you news of what's going on in the project, what progress we're making, and how you can get involved.

Latest News
  • All theatre articles currently tagged with a project banner have now been assessed for quality. There are still plenty to assess for importance, though - see the article assessment page for details.
  • There is now a News section on the main project page, updated automatically to keep us informed of developments in theatre articles.
Collaboration of the Month
  • Theatre has been nominated as the next project collaboration. This could be an excellent opportunity to improve the quality of one of our most important articles - listed as one of Wikipedia's top 1000 most vital articles - but it needs a lot of work before it can be considered for even good article nomination!
  • Stop by the collaboration page for tips on how to improve an article, to add your support, or to suggest alternative or future collaborations.
Jobs you can do

Any and all improvements to theatre-related articles will help the project, but if you're looking for something to do, have a look at the to-do list. Some current areas of priority are:

If you are currently working on a particular topic or area of the project, and would like to muster some support from other editors, feel free to add tasks to the to-do list. Or even think about setting up an informal working group - create a project subpage to organise tasks in a central location. Remember you can always discuss ideas with others at the project talk page.

New members

If you've been editing a theatre-related article recently and noticed another user helping you who also appears to have an interest for the subject of theatre, why not drop them a line and invite them over to the project?

And finally...
  • Don't forget to add the {{ User WPTheatre}} userbox to your userpage, and {{ WikiProject Theatre}} banner to article talk pages to spread the word about the project!

You have received this newsletter because your name is on the list of Members on the WikiProject page. If this information is out of date and you no longer wish to receive the newsletter, please remove your name from the list, or click here to stop receiving it.
If you have any news or announcements to be broadcast, do let us know on the talk page.

USS United States

The destruction of the frigate USS UNITED STATES is a similar event to the Battle of New Orleans. The start of the untimely scrapping of the frigate was December, 1865 but was completed in January 1866. The song Battle of New Orleans indicates American forces meeting the British in 1814 but the Battle of New Orleans took place 1815. Reason: The Vangard of the British met American Forces in December of 1814 but because the British waited for re-enforcements, which didn't arrive until January of 1815, the Battle of New Orleans took place in January of that year.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Vandalism

Thanks and happy vandalism patrol! — Spike Toronto 00:50, 3 December 2009 (UTC) reply

No, it was perfectly fine, I know it was your job to fix it, and I do't realize why I didn't realize it was against copyright. Some person copy-pasted it here. Thanks for keeping Wikipedia copyright-violation-free. -- 15lsoucy ( talk) 23:57, 3 December 2009 (UTC) reply

Quick note

Hey, thanks for the support and kind words! Just one thing; it seems that you removed RMHED's vote, perhaps accidentally. If possible could you reinstate it pending an explanation for his post? Cheers. – Juliancolton |  Talk 01:30, 31 December 2009 (UTC) reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
