All of these accounts were created within a 12 hour period and have only edited Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nabi Mammadov to support keeping the article. They have provided no rationale based on policy, as Wikiazeus hasn't either. There are also some WP:DUCK similarities in English proficiency that I'm happy to send an admin via email if needed. Based on the four accounts here that have already been used and how clear the connection is, I'm not sure if a checkuser will be beneficial at this time - but it would likely provide some use in determining whether this is off-site meatpuppetry or whether it's truly this one person controlling all of these accounts. -bɜ:ʳkənhɪmez ( User/ say hi!) 16:49, 18 May 2021 (UTC) reply

Editor created Nabi Mammadov (fighter) which was a target of sockpuppets in the past. I actually think this editor is a meatpuppet as they are creating a number of biographies of fighters and a previous sock of Wikiazeus, ValiyevA, only expressed an interest in obtaining an article of himself on Wikipedia. He also mentioned getting someone else to write it for him as a proxy (see his talk page). I'm not sure of what action should be taken here if the KhosrovAO's other articles are decent but I thought it should be reported after seeing Nabi Mammadov (fighter) tagged for deletion as a G4. I have seen the user "Elshadiman" 1 or 2 times, I know him more from social networks. We have never been together. But in some discussions, I supported him on Enwiki. In general, I have expressed my positive opinions that his articles should not be deleted (encyclopedic articles, of course). Right now I'm looking at this as a case of meatpuppetry in the form of the two AfD comments, and inclined to issue an only warning and instructions to stay away from anything Iman-related.   • @ Kadı: I agree that this is meatpuppetry (on that note, CU request  Clerk declined as unnecessary). The only question is whether a block is needed to prevent its recurrence.
    @ Araz Yaquboglu: Elshadiman was blocked on the English Wikipedia in 2019. Yet in 2021 when he returned as Elshad Iman (Elşad İman), you were helping him, moving his draft to mainspace and voting to keep his article. Now, even though you're clearly aware he is banned from the English Wikipedia (and you appear to know him in real life), you are commenting at an AfD in defense of an article he wrote and in defense of him as a person. This is the first AfD you've commented at since the last Iman one. In fact you've commented at 6 AfDs ever, and they've all had to do with Elshad Iman. When a user violates our sockpuppetry policy without knowing they have done so, we typically give them a warning rather than block them. At the same time, there is no excuse for making the same mistake twice, so this is your only warning: Do not make any further edits to promote the interests of Elshad Iman, whether or not he explicitly asks you to. If you do so again, you will be blocked, likely indefinitely. As a practical matter, you should consider this similar to a topic ban. He's canvassing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Farid Alizade. Elshad Iman has personal connections with Farid Alizade. See his instagram post ( archive)

  • He has created Elkhan Bashirov article which was edited by Elshad Iman (Elşad İman) on Azwiki. The article here was created by him on 17 February and after a few hours, he edited it on azwiki with his Elshad Iman profile.
  • Here you can see their identical discussion styles.
  • When looking at his activity on Wikidata we can see that he has contributed to Elshad Iman (Q112134533). And there are a bunch of articles related with his name, mostly edited with exposed IP-adresses related to his articles

I'm not 100% convinced this is a sock situation, but there is a striking resemblance between this editor's actions at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Farid_Alizade and a confirmed sock of the proposed sock-master's at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Nabi_Mammadov. Note that 90AA123 has a custom signature of ETIBAR MEMMEDOV. I am not experienced in SPI, but note that the allegation of being a sock has been made by another user on the Farid Alizade who themselves talks of writing "with this user profile" implying they may have multiple accounts too. [3]. The suspected sock editor then welcomes investigation: [4]. I have no idea what to think, except that we now have an AfD discussion that's been brought into question by a sock-allegation, and it might be fairer to all parties if someone with SPI experience has a quick look. Disclosure: I am very much an involved party as I've suggested deletion of the article 90AA123 wishes to retain. If this is an inappropriate request, please do just close it. (non-admin comment) Thank you for bringing it into light too, @ Elemimele. Of course, I created this very account for security purposes and personal attacks in real life. As it's very easy to do it in a small community like ours. Admins are welcomed to block this profile as I'm not going to use it other than his suspected sock reports.

Editor created Nabi Mammadov (fighter) which was a target of sockpuppets in the past. I actually think this editor is a meatpuppet as they are creating a number of biographies of fighters and a previous sock of Wikiazeus, ValiyevA, only expressed an interest in obtaining an article of himself on Wikipedia. He also mentioned getting someone else to write it for him as a proxy (see his talk page). I'm not sure of what action should be taken here if the KhosrovAO's other articles are decent but I thought it should be reported after seeing Nabi Mammadov (fighter) tagged for deletion as a G4. I have seen the user "Elshadiman" 1 or 2 times, I know him more from social networks. We have never been together. But in some discussions, I supported him on Enwiki. In general, I have expressed my positive opinions that his articles should not be deleted (encyclopedic articles, of course). That said, it is odd that an administrator in good standing has taken a photograph of a long term sock who has used photos for self-promotion.     @ Magog the Ogre: Are you saying that Iman and Yaquboglu are the same person, or that the Elshad Iman in File:Elşad İman uşağı ilə.jpg is the same as the Elshad Iman who's blocked on enwiki and Commons? Right now I'm looking at this as a case of meatpuppetry in the form of the two AfD comments, and inclined to issue an only warning and instructions to stay away from anything Iman-related.   • @ Kadı: I agree that this is meatpuppetry (on that note, CU request  Clerk declined as unnecessary). The only question is whether a block is needed to prevent its recurrence.
    @ Araz Yaquboglu: Elshadiman was blocked on the English Wikipedia in 2019. Yet in 2021 when he returned as Elshad Iman (Elşad İman), you were helping him, moving his draft to mainspace and voting to keep his article. Now, even though you're clearly aware he is banned from the English Wikipedia (and you appear to know him in real life), you are commenting at an AfD in defense of an article he wrote and in defense of him as a person. This is the first AfD you've commented at since the last Iman one. In fact you've commented at 6 AfDs ever, and they've all had to do with Elshad Iman. I'm sure that you hope that when from people from other wikis come to one of the wikis where you're an admin, they will respect local policies. I am asking you to do the same here.   • @ Araz Yaquboglu: Thank you for your honesty here. I cannot stress this enough: We treat this kind of editing as equivalent to sockpuppetry. When a user violates our sockpuppetry policy without knowing they have done so, we typically give them a warning rather than block them. At the same time, there is no excuse for making the same mistake twice, so this is your only warning: Do not make any further edits to promote the interests of Elshad Iman, whether or not he explicitly asks you to. If you do so again, you will be blocked, likely indefinitely. As a practical matter, you should consider this similar to a topic ban. They created the article that Bəşir İmanov just !voted to keep, and likewise they !voted keep at the AfD for Bəşir İmanov's eponym, created by an Iman sock, and have the same pattern of résumé-esque BLPs on people from Azerbaijan. He's canvassing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Farid Alizade. Elshad Iman has personal connections with Farid Alizade. See his instagram post ( archive)

  • He has created Elkhan Bashirov article which was edited by Elshad Iman (Elşad İman) on Azwiki. The article here was created by him on 17 February and after a few hours, he edited it on azwiki with his Elshad Iman profile.
  • Here you can see their identical discussion styles.
  • When looking at his activity on Wikidata we can see that he has contributed to Elshad Iman (Q112134533). And there are a bunch of articles related with his name, mostly edited with exposed IP-adresses related to his articles

I'm not 100% convinced this is a sock situation, but there is a striking resemblance between this editor's actions at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Farid_Alizade and a confirmed sock of the proposed sock-master's at Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Nabi_Mammadov. Note that 90AA123 has a custom signature of ETIBAR MEMMEDOV. I am not experienced in SPI, but note that the allegation of being a sock has been made by another user on the Farid Alizade who themselves talks of writing "with this user profile" implying they may have multiple accounts too. [3]. The suspected sock editor then welcomes investigation: [4]. I have no idea what to think, except that we now have an AfD discussion that's been brought into question by a sock-allegation, and it might be fairer to all parties if someone with SPI experience has a quick look. Disclosure: I am very much an involved party as I've suggested deletion of the article 90AA123 wishes to retain. If this is an inappropriate request, please do just close it. (non-admin comment) Thank you for bringing it into light too, @ Elemimele. Of course, I created this very account for security purposes and personal attacks in real life. As it's very easy to do it in a small community like ours. Admins are welcomed to block this profile as I'm not going to use it other than his suspected sock reports.
