New Grumpy Cat?

I've recently seen, in online Samsung ads, a ginger Persian cat apparently meowing in a displeased manner (I couldn't really tell because the sound was either muted or turned way down) and described in the text as "the grouchiest feline ever" -- who is that cat, and would it be accurate to say that he/she is the new Grumpy Cat? 73.162.86.152 ( talk) 03:47, 28 May 2023 (UTC) reply

This is apparently not a Persian cat (nor entirely ginger), but an exotic shorthair by the name of Bebo.  Card Zero   (talk) 08:24, 28 May 2023 (UTC) reply
Thanks! So would it be accurate to call him the new Grumpy Cat? 73.162.86.152 ( talk) 10:46, 29 May 2023 (UTC) reply

A source that states, "it is accurate to call Bebo the new Grumpy Cat"? Are you kidding?  -- Lambiam 12:57, 29 May 2023 (UTC) reply
It's not impossible. Nine years ago another cat, Garfi (who really was a ginger Persian), was asserted to be potentially the next Grumpy Cat by what is apparently a newspaper. Garfi, a Persian cat with a perpetually angry expression, could be the next Grumpy Cat, they said, but they were unwilling to go out on a limb and make the assertion categorically: Time will tell whether Garfi will achieve the level of fame found by Grumpy Cat. No follow-up report was ever made.  Card Zero   (talk) 16:20, 4 June 2023 (UTC) reply
Grumpy Cat was an Internet celebrity. Bebo is not a celebrity at all. The cat has a YouTube channel with three subscribers.  -- Lambiam 12:55, 29 May 2023 (UTC) reply
So I take it the answer is no (or at least not yet). 2601:646:9882:46E0:695F:C4CC:FB85:7807 ( talk) 02:55, 30 May 2023 (UTC) reply
Ask yourself this: what specific criterion would have to be met for Bebo to qualify as "the new Grumpy Cat"? {The poster formerly known as 87.81.230.195} 90.199.210.77 ( talk) 04:23, 30 May 2023 (UTC) reply
Perhaps the same procedure can be followed as for identifying the next incarnation of the Dalai Lama.  -- Lambiam 12:46, 31 May 2023 (UTC) reply

A CfD was opened at Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2023_May_15#Category:Ayr_Raiders_(1946_—_1956)_players concerning the factual accuracy of the category name — specifically, concerning the years that the first version of this football club existed. Unfortunately, the associated article Ayr Bruins is poorly referenced and does not contain the relevant information, particularly the year 1955 claimed by the CfD's nominator. Therefore, we need someone to do some research on this club in order to resolve the CfD. – LaundryPizza03 ( d ) 23:14, 28 May 2023 (UTC) reply

It would be easier to help you if you asked the actual question to which you need an answer, rather than expect us to read the discussion and the article in order to work out what your question is. Shantavira| feed me 08:08, 29 May 2023 (UTC) reply
