Merge, this is just wordplay. In Spain, governors were called viceroy because the respective regions were de jure separate kingdoms (not de facto, of course).

Given that Ukraine wasn't a country until the 20th century, I hardly think that the category "Ukrainian nobility" does make sense. Maybe that category should be split. (

And then rename all Fooian nobility to nobility in Fooland? Nobody is saying we should do that next. This CfR is about continents, not countries/states/territories within those continents.

I was planning to CfR the other "Nobility by continent" categories from Fooian-continental nobility to Nobility in continent Foo next after
Category:European nobility was renamed to
Category:Nobility in Europe two days ago (13 June), but you immediately proposed to reverse this renaming yesterday (14 June), 27.5 hours later. I didn't see the result of the CfR within those 27.5 hours, so I didn't yet submit a follow-up CfR, but you saw that the continental categories were named inconsistently and tried to bring "in Europe" back in line with "European" without realising it was recently renamed deliberately, and the other ones were slated for renaming soon as well. So I think there has been a bit of a misunderstanding, I hope I have cleared it up now.

Miraclepine: if you want to keep them, please populate them further. The purpose of a category is not to have 5 articles in it, the purpose is to have all articles in it that comply with the criteria. Nobody is served with a category where most articles are lacking.
