Excessively trivial list as eventually every hip hot artist would be listed in here. While many of the artists listed here are notable (though quite a few are not), them being dead does not make them notable. There is no limiting criteria to this list (for example, List of hip hop artists
killed by a coconut) that makes makes it notable in and of itself. --

Keep - I think this information could be useful to a lot of people, however, I think there definitely needs to be some limits applied to this article. Perhaps only artists with wikipedia articles or only hip hop artists who met with an unnatural death. But I do think this is a useful list. The thing averages like 400 hits per day! Obviously people use the article.

Keep and reorganize - This article is not excessive. It falls within the scope of
WikiProject Death and was re-created in 2013 after several deletions of other lists years ago.citation needed The article is an attempt to gather a more complete and specific list of deaths in hip hop music. It is also the most up-to-date list. It should be kept and reorganized by year (or cause of death) instead of randomly.

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion so a clearer consensus may be reached.
Keep - Seems rather interesting (I'm well aware of OTHERSTUFFEXISTS), but as noted above the non notables/redlinked should be removed. –

Comment: I don't believe that it was claimed by that user to be a structure of that article specifically, but instead, a structure of a completely separate set of data/information; a subset, if you will, of hip hop artists, but only those who are deceased (which would be your "limiting criteria"). Still, you have neglected to consider the
first list as both definitively and technically larger, which renders your first argument about excessive info, as blatantly ignoring or unintentionally lacking in the scope of encyclopedic information on Wikipedia relating to
hip hop in general. The first list being larger is a good point and something which I wouldn't have brought up myself, so thanks to that user for bringing it up. Please go ahead and close the discussion now (or
relist it for a third time). It is up to the administrators. Thanks

Please stop telling me that I'm blatantly ignoring the larger list or lacking some understanding of hip hop in general (in other words
WP:AGF). The
existence of other lists is a poor reason to keep an article. The issue, as I clearly stated in the original nomination, is that this particular list has no particularly limiting criteria that makes this list uniquely notable. Being in hip hop versus some other genre is not special. Being dead is not special. Being dead and in hip hop is not special. --

If you sincerely didn't notice the much larger list as mentioned above and it was an honest mistake that was unintentional, then that's understandable. There's no bad blood on my side. Thanks for linking to OTHERSTUFFEXISTS because I wasn't well aware of that wikilink as mentioned above. I believe that many of the artists listed here were legends in hip hop, and others were much harder to dig up much info on due to weaker coverage by journalists. I really would like to thank everyone else who participated in this discussion and the admins for helping me get into more proper editing techniques throughout the last few months. In the end it was worth all of the effort. Have a nice week everyone.
