No, anyone can close a
WP:FLC. The nomination, no matter how much support though, has to stay up for at least 10 days. After ten days if there is at least 4 supports and consensus has been reached, then someone will promote it (Usually
User:Scorpion0422). So even though you have enough support, youll have to wait for the 10 day period to pass. If there isnt enough support votes, and there is either active discussion and revision, or there seems to be a consensus to promote but it still needs more support, than the nom is left open until there is consensus or the nom has garnered enough votes (See
my nom of
Green Bay Packers seasons as an example of a nom that has consensus to promote, yet still needs one more support vote, so the nom is left open until that happens.) Hope that helps. Good work, I like how the list has evolved.

I guess it looks better now, but I still think it would be better to separate them. It would get red of the conference red links and it would make more sense (at least to me) to have separate ones. I think it would look a lot cleaner and go in line with the other NFL season by team templates. But whatever, just the creation of those two templates confused me lol.03:32, 7 January 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gonzo fan2007 ( talk • contribs)

Barack Obama
There is no need to add more to the infobox when it is already discussed in another section. HoosierState 04:10, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
What other section? There is only one reference that I fond and that related to his father. I have read the history on the issue of Obama's Muslim ties. I am an independent voter and I like Obama a great deal, but the issue of his Muslim childhood ties is just not going to go away. I proposed a balanced approach in the discussion pages a few minutes ago - basically that a matter of fact approach that includes only the Muslim childhood references that he includes in his biography (or those that his close family openly discusses), followed by a paragraph from his biography that speaks to his multi-cultural upbringing. It's just not reasonable for biased supporters to hawkishly sit on every Muslim-related edit and immediately 'undo'. I do not know you well enough to know where you stand...but you did seem to pounce pretty quickly. What's wrong with a clear reference in the Info box that confirms his Adulthood disposition as differentiated from his childhood practices? Jtextor ( talk) 04:22, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey, HoosierState, if you get a chance, and you know how, could you slap together an info box that can go on Anchorpeople/weatherpeople/sportspeople's individual Wiki's? Just name, age, current station, previous jobs, and anything else you can think of. If you can, just slap it on my talk page, or a link to it, or whatever. I don't have a ton of free time any more with a new baby, so I'd REALLY appreciate it. :) Also, if you know how to make categories (and/or search existing categories) and can tell me how to make them so I can throw all these anchor stubs into categories to organize them as I go along that would be fabulous. If you can't do any of it, then no problems on that, too. :)
BTW, did you steal the archive box idea from me, or was it just a coincidence? :D

Sorry about the edits, but with the research I have done on the issue, I feel the other editor is deliberately trying to muddy the waters in that sub-section. For instance, he claims that the sound this whole thing is about was heard on the radio calls, which simply is not the case from reviewing the radio pbp from both the Pats and Colts radio networks. Not that I'm disagreeing with your edit on the Dem primary delegate template, but do you have a source saying that Edwards actually ended his campaign versus suspending his campaign? There were some sources immediately after his New Orleans speech that said he ended his campaign everything that I've seen has Edwards only suspending his campaign. While there isn't a major difference between the two (he isn't campaigning), there is a difference in what happens to his delegates. If he ended his campaign, his delegates are released, but if he just suspends his campaign, then he retains control of his delegates. -- Bobblehead (rants) 22:37, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Re: this edit. It's not a question of references. Such an uncontroversial statement doesn't need sourcing, and it would be trivial to find sources if they were required. The real objection to the addition is that the mere existence of such small communities is not notable. The rest of the paragraph is about national headquarters of religions or denominations, or colleges and seminaries that are in some way especially notable. (There's a yeshivah in South Bend, and maybe sometime soon I'll find out more about it and consider whether it's notable enough to be included here, or even to get its own article.) -- Zsero ( talk) 20:43, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

I changed Wisconsin into a Democratic state, but left Oregon just because of how close it was in 2000 and 2004, even though it'll almost surely go Democratic in 2008 because of the GOP's disregard for states' rights.
However, we should look into North Carolina. I don't think it's close enough to be considered a "swing state" in a three category map, but it's certainly worth researching. SteveSims ( talk) 09:03, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Re: the recent additions by User:137.242.1.50, which you reverted. It's true that the list is too long already and needs trimming, not adding to, but it's not true, as you wrote, that most of these people were not from Indiana. With only one exception (Levi P. Morton) they were all prominent Indianans, and surely more important than some already on the list. I mean surely the fact that Indiana has produced so many Vice Presidents of the United States of America is more notable than the fact that it's produced so many sportsmen. So I don't know what to do about it, but I don't think simply reverting is the right thing. What needs to happen is a serious sorting and weighting of the list, and let's keep, say, the most notable 25 Hoosiers of all time. That will need a lot of judgment. -- Zsero ( talk) 23:09, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

The voting time period is half way over. Your feedback would be helpful.-- TonyTheTiger ( t/ c/ bio/ WP:CHICAGO/ WP:LOTD) 03:09, 16 March 2008 (UTC)
The article originally said he was taking it on a Bible but I see they've changed it... somebody at Indystar must've made a mistake... Ithought it was odd that a Muslim would take an oath on a Bible, the Constitution makes more sense.-- Dr who1975 ( talk) 01:30, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for your past comments and contributions at Results of the 2008 Democratic Party presidential primaries. Right now there is a significant vote taking place at Talk:Results of the 2008 Democratic Party presidential primaries#Vote to overturn previous consensus on rows about whether or not to overturn a previous consensus that each row in the Overview of results table should represent individual nominating events. The vote ends at the close of March 19, 2008 (UTC). The vote contains the negative-option that if there is a tie or fewer than 4 total signatures the previous consensus will prevail. I invite you to visit the talk page and submit your vote on the matter. Thanks! -- Bryan H Bell ( talk) 01:51, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
Sorry about that.-- Juthani1 ( talk) 19:32, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
As a nominator, you may want to vote before voting ends as soon as I get to it after the end of the day on the 20th.-- TonyTheTiger ( t/ c/ bio/ WP:CHICAGO/ WP:LOTD) 04:39, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Congratulations! List of Indiana state symbols was selected as a List of the Day for April. Let me know if you have a strong preference for a date.-- TonyTheTiger ( t/ c/ bio/ WP:CHICAGO/ WP:LOTD) 07:36, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Yay! Thanks for nominating it! I don't care when it appears, but my two-year anniversary on Wikipdia is April 10, so I'll take that if it's open. Reywas92 Talk 16:44, 23 March 2008 (UTC)
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that Bedford is up for Adminship here if you want to add your thoughts for or against. -- JT Holla! 01:04, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
For some reason, its not letting me create new On This Day for the portal. See if you can, even if its just a blank, so I can fill it in later.-- Bedford 18:31, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
As a past voter I am reminding you that there are over five days remaining at User:TonyTheTiger/List of the Day/voting/200805 to cast your votes.-- TonyTheTiger ( t/ c/ bio/ WP:CHICAGO/ WP:LOTD) 20:07, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
All NBA head coach templates are being merged to the franchise's template, i.e. {{ IndianaPacersCoach}}→{{ Indiana Pacers}}. Also, take a look at the templates at Category:National Basketball Association teams navigational boxes and you'll see that the other franchise templates have the head coaches in them, so why should we have another one? It's a little redundant.-- Crzy cheetah 22:59, 20 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi. I just wanted to thank you for your help in expanding the 2008 Indiana Fever season. You have done some really impressive work. Maple Leaf ( talk) 18:26, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
I noticed that on your map [Image:Results by county of the 2008 Democratic Presidential Primaries.png] you had county results for Kansas and North Dakota. Where did you find that information, I can't find it online, and I would desperately need it? -- Petrovic-Njegos ( talk) 11:35, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
