A discussion

An important discussion on Should WikiProjects get prior approval of other WikiProjects (Descendant or Related or any ) to tag articles that overlaps their scope ? is open here . We welcome you to participate and give your valuable opinions. You are receiving this note as you are a member of WikiProject Council -- TinuCherian (Wanna Talk?) - 12:42, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

C-class

I tried adding C-class to the list of available assessment on the WikiProject Louisville template, with no success. Since you are more familiar with the template, I wondered if you could add it? Thanks.-- Bedford Pray 16:30, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Nevermind; taken care of.-- Bedford Pray 17:39, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

U of L

Do you have any idea why half the pictures on the U of L page were removed? Censusdata ( talk) 21:00, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

I didn't realize that. You might want to go into the article history and see where anything has been removed. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 00:35, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
I added back most of the pictures into galleries - some of the them (ones I took) have vague names that I will replace with better photos next week. Censusdata ( talk) 22:03, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

I did what I could for the article. If you can find the page numbers from the book, that would be helpful. Also, if you know how to source it being in danger of demolition, that would be good as well. The Inuse tag has been removed.-- Bedford Pray 02:49, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Edits

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits. Readers looking for serious articles will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write (almost) whatever you want. RfD nomination of Hard tac

I have nominated Hard tac (  | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) for discussion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. Calvin 1998 ( t- c) 03:59, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm not going to template you with {{ attack}}, but I have removed your second comment from the talk page for the Sarah Palin article. I'm someone who could probably be said to be quite sympathetic to "left-wing interests," and even I found your comment to be nothing more than a provocative attack on individuals with certain political beliefs, which, I'm afraid, could have easily been defined as trolling. Neither of your comments added anything to the discussion, but your second one seemed designed to provoke discussion not related to improving the article, and Wikipedia is not a forum. Feel free to respond here if you have anything to clarify or add. Otherwise, take care.   user:j     (aka justen)   03:34, 1 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi

Hello,

I just finished perusing the remarks regarding foodboyz.com and it's deletion. Understanding the reason for deletion is essential to correcting and trying in the future to see if it is a valuable and legitimate entry for Wikipedia, I was not aware of any edit made on the entry. If there was a change it was not blatant and I have no intention of self promotion for the website or it's contents. Looking at sites like OpenTable, City Search and Zagats and comparing them to what was written regarding foodboyz, the sources I believe for references were more detailed than those mentioned. In addition, their references appear as external links as much as those for foodboyz.

I am very interested in persuing the entry for foodboyz and would like to know how to proceed in a manner that will meet all the subjective and objective requirements of Wikipedia.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Jfreund602 ( talk) 20:52, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

I believe you were provided with links to pages that explain all the related policies. The bottom line is that you cannot create an article that reads like a marketing brochure. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 15:04, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Angband (band)

Hello sir, I created an article about Angband, but It was deleted. once the creator claimed they are the first metal band from Iran to sign a deal with a European records company but didnt have enough sources, I have many sources like: www.lordsofmetal.nl , www.stormbringer.at , www.localradio.pehzeh.net www.metal-rules.com and their album has a good feedback, I created a page in my sandbox: User:Spada2/Sandbox would you please take a look at it and the question I have: can I create the page not mentioning the first band thing due to their positive feedbacks? Thanks in advance-- Spada2 ( talk) 12:16, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

I'm sorry. I don't have the available time to be of assistance. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 15:05, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

FL class in WP:KY

I notice WikiProject Kentucky's assessment page shows an "FL" (featured list) class, but we don't have any featured lists showing up. Does our template support the "FL" designation? If so, I need to go back and re-tag our featured lists. Right now, they are designated "FA". Acdixon ( talk contribs count) 14:17, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

The template doesn't currently support FL designation. Do other project templates support it? If so, please give me an example, so I can replicate what they did. Thanks. Stevie is the man! TalkWork 14:57, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

Henry C. Magruder

I'm thinking about starting the Henry C. Magruder article. I was curious; are you any relation?-- Gen. Bedford his Forest 14:27, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

A very, very distant relation. Too far removed to count, I'm afraid. But that would certainly make a fantastic article. Thanks! Stevie is the man! TalkWork 02:24, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
