Hi Shelyric – Charts are allowed but you've only provided links to screenshots of those charts and they are not listed on WP:GOODCHARTS so readers do not know how the charts are compiled. From what I can tell, only stations that signup to report to Jazz Times, for example, are what it uses to make up the charts, so it's not quite an independent way of measuring airplay or sales. Thanks. Both Jazz Week and Roots Music Ratings cover the NPR and independent radio stations that are primarily NPR affiliated. In order to report through a 'wider net' such as Billboard, etc. they also have to sign up but also must be paying a fee. Numerous smaller stations who cannot afford to pay this larger fee; report the number of spins of an album is no different regardless of the rating system. Both Jazz Week and Roots have become a standard in the industry and it might be something that Wikipedia needs to address. These are viable ratings. I want to start with File:Jack Cooper (musician).jpeg. Please do not ever put another person's contact information on Wikipedia. Every page here is very very public and I am sure you would not want someone doing that to you. Second, the release on that page is invalid. We do not accept releases that way as anyone could say anything and there is no way to verify that. We have a system called WP:OTRS that handles permissions and you will have to go through them. The copyright holder, which is generally the photographer not the person in the photo, needs to fill out the form at WP:CONSENT and sent it in to OTRS. This is also true for the above image also marked as no permission, File:Joyce Cobb.jpeg.

Next, I would like to explain why I marked a bunch of other images you have uploaded for deletion. Our fair use policy is purposefully strict as Wikipedia is dedicated to the free exchange of material and copyrighted images impede that goal. We do allow them, but only under very specific circumstances. Our policy on the matter can be found here: WP:NFCC. All of the other images I have marked for deletion are due to the failure of the first criterion. What this means is that no free use image exists or could be reasonably created. Since the people are still alive and the orchestras are still together that means that anyone could reasonably take a photo of them and release it to us under a free license. For that reason, those images cannot be saved and will be deleted in two days. Sorry about that. It was good of you to undertake the daunting task of bringing Bill's article up to a higher standard, thank you very kindly.

It has been my understanding that Wikipedia is a collaborative effort and that no single editor could claim "ownership" of any particular article.

Since your user page is blank we other editors know nothing about you. If you've looked at mine you know that I'm a composer/arranger and a saxophonist who has been in the music business for over fifty five years.

I've met Bill and talked with him at length about his music, music which I've been playing and studying since I was in high school.

I'll continue to monitor your progress on the article but if I find some glaring omissions like the lack of any Terry Gibbs albums in the discography I'll feel compelled to fill in the missing information. I've done major work on Terry's article so I know my information is accurate.

Lately I've been spending too much time cleaning up the messes that novice editor JamBopper has been leaving behind!

Please format Personnel sections like such:

"Name – function"

Not "Function - name". It is clear that you just copy and pasted from Discogs. Please see the Personnel section in the album style guide for the clear guidelines.

Also, please utilize the Studio parameter in the album infobox, for the studio. "Recording" is for the recording date. I changed the infobox to reflect this.

Since Down Beat is a magazine, it should be italicized. Any publication should be italicized.

Finally, per MOS:AMP, refrain from using "&" (ampersand). "January 1 and 2", not "January 1 & 2"

Other files are licensed as non-free content because of their copyright status and these files are commonly referred to as "non-free". Non-free content use on Wikipedia is highly restricted and each use of such files must satisfy Wikipedia's non-free image use policy. One of these restrictions is WP:NFCC#9, which says that non-free content can only be used in the article namespace. For this reason and as explained in WP:DRAFTS#Preparing drafts, non-free content such as File:Accentus logo.png cannot be used Draft:Accentus Music. Perhaps you didn't see the edit sum I left when I removed the file the first time; therefore, I'm posting this here to provide more explanation. If you have any questions about this feel free to ask them here, at WP:MCQ or at WT:NFC, but please don't re-add the file again, until after the draft has been approved. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Hi, not clear what you are asking but sure, it would be nice if it would 'go live' (it is not already?). At this point, there is a person (professional editor) I have contacted in Berlin who has a number of authorized photos. He is supposed to contact the proper contact for accepting those into Wikipedia and then having them placed on the Greg Bowen wiki page. There is one photo I know he has with the trumpet section from 'Goldfinger' and John Barry (recording the movie score) talking to those guys (Greg is in that pic).

You must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. I can't run the plagiarism tool on a deleted page, but I don't normally delete unless it's at least than 70% copied. You can use pages as a source of information, but not copy the text. In this case, even using the page as a source should be done with caution, since its not an independent source and is probably written by him.

When you write about a person, you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that they meet the notability guidelines for music. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the person or an associated organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the person claims or interviewing them. The issue is there is no obit on Scott Ellsworth yet but I know for a fact he passed on New Years eve. The point is, it will eventually be an 'image of a deceased person' once proof of a reliable source can be obtained. This isa not happen as fast as i thought it would.
