Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Universe: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you.-- M4gnum0n ( talk) 20:29, 9 February 2010 (UTC) reply

Why did you revert Pancake? You reintroduced the vandalism that I had just removed.

: Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Pancake, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. I don’t know what you were looking at, but the one I made to Pancake was constructive and appeared constructive. You should put it back the way I had it. —Stephen ( talk) 01:31, 16 February 2010 (UTC) reply

Amiga raytracing history

Hi, noticed your comment on Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Amiga_Reflections that "Would be interesting to have an article on 3D modeling on Amiga which would contain this material". While searching for sources for this article, I found a comment which seems to provide a good listing/overview for this topic. It would need better sourcing, but might give a start: See Paulomat "Realism is dead, long live simplicity" Mar 22 2009 09:31:33 at http://www.cgenie.com/component/content/article/47-articles/94-realism-is-dead-long-live-simplicity.html?directory=257 Jodi.a.schneider ( talk) 05:34, 1 March 2010 (UTC) reply

PS-I've made some additions to the Amiga Reflections article. See if you think it's more appropriate. Jodi.a.schneider ( talk) 05:34, 1 March 2010 (UTC) reply

Vandalism

Yes there was, also Uga, Nigeria was also a target yesterday, so if you are interested keep an eye out on that page also. -- Clarince63 ( talk) 11:27, 4 March 2010 (UTC) reply

Warning users

When warning users, could you please stick to the warning order (e.g. vandalism1 -> vandalism2...)? Hitting someone with a third level warning immediately might be a bit over the hill, and for very serious cases there's the 4im warning. noisy jinx huh? 02:05, 6 March 2010 (UTC) reply

Can't actually remember which user it was, but the article was Death row, so I think it's the right topic (wrong numbers). AFAIA there's no set policy of warning sequence, but e.g. for reporting vandals it makes sense to use the four levels in an ascending order to make sure the user has been sufficiently warned. You may be right with the obscurity of deliberately altering numbers, but I generally try to go with WP:NICE first, especially with new accounts, unless it's a severe case of misconduct. And then it's usually an immediate 4im warning. In the end it's your choice. noisy jinx huh? 02:23, 6 March 2010 (UTC) reply

Notification of response at AFD, per your request

Responded to your comment at the Vasilijus Safronovas AFD. I know what you mean about following things in extremely long WP pages, but thankfully AFDs are listed discretely and become separate watchlist items if you have "add pages I edit to my watchlist" turned on in My Preferences/Watchlist, and are not so hard to follow. I found this reference. I'll look into it more tomorrow when I'm at work. PDCook ( talk) 01:13, 12 March 2010 (UTC) reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
