Pica history

@ Raewoodhouse: I think this is a better source for history. "Pica is the compulsive eating of material that may or may not be foodstuff. The material is often consumed in large quantities without regard for nutritional consequences. The medical term comes from the Latin for magpie (Pica pica), a bird that by folklore incessantly gathers objects to satiate its curiosity." David notMD ( talk) 11:19, 16 November 2017 (UTC) reply

Johnson BE. Pica. In: Walker HK, Hall WD, Hurst JW, editors. Clinical Methods: The History, Physical, and Laboratory Examinations. 3rd edition. Boston: Butterworths; 1990. Chapter 148. PubMed PMID: 21250098.

RESPONSE: Hi! Thanks for your suggestion! However, the information that your source states is already present in the article in other sections. My addition focuses more on history of the condition's diagnosis. Please let me know if you have any additional comments or suggestions. Raewoodhouse ( talk) 15:09, 16 November 2017 (UTC) reply
