Thank you for improving quality articles in February. - The image, taken on a cemetery last year after the funeral of a distant but dear family member, commemorates today, with thanks for their achievements, four subjects mentioned on the Main page and Vami_IV, a friend here. Listen to music by Tchaikovsky (an article where one of the four is pictured), sung by today's subject (whose performance on stage I enjoyed two days ago). -- Gerda Arendt ( talk) 17:36, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
Today's story celebrates a woman's birthday. She sat right in front of me when I took the picture at a lovely concert, celebrating her son's 60th. I thought she was 90 today, - no, 91 already. You can listen, starting at the piece he dedicated to her, Op. 1. -- Gerda Arendt ( talk) 22:36, 28 February 2024 (UTC)

Special:Book
page (as well as the associated "Create a book" functionality) provided by the old
Collection extension has been removed from all Wikisource wikis, as it was broken. This does not affect the ability to download normal books, which is provided by the
Wikisource extension.
[5]Gadget

namespaces and gadgets-definition-edit
user right were reserved for an experiment in 2015, but were never used. These were visible on Special:Search and Special:ListGroupRights. The unused namespaces and user rights are now removed. No pages are moved, and no changes need to be made.

I forgot to say thanks for your Help desk advice. Very helpful! Have now (re)discovered about 10 that I'd totally forgotten about :) ——Serial Number 54129 15:10, 11 March 2024 (UTC) |
You removed the conflict of interest tag on Francis Naumann saying “nothing /specific/ on talk, (see template documentation)“ Actually when adding the tag I specifically added “articles subject has edited the article” on the talk page. Please assume good faith. They have since been blocked so there is no need to add it back. Theroadislong ( talk) 16:36, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
@ Theroadislong: Documentation for {{ COI}}, to which my edit summary (as you note) deliberately directed readers, says (formatting per original):
Like the other neutrality-related tags, if you place this tag, you should promptly start a discussion on the article's talk page to explain what is non-neutral about the article. If you do not start a discussion, any editor will be justified in removing the tag without warning.
[...]
Do not apply this tag simply because you suspect COI editing, or because there is or was a COI editor.
Please bear that in mind in future. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 16:46, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
