I believe you removed the French pronunciation for Manitoba under the belief that Manitoba isn't bilingual, but believe it or not we are! We have the largest francophone population in Canada outside of Quebec, and French is one of our two official languages. I must confess, as a lifelong resident of Manitoba (and someone who just spent two years working for the provincial government) I was quite surprised to discover that we are not officially bilingual. The source you added sums up the legal staus of our language status quite succinctly, and the section lover in the Manitoba article on Official Languages does a good job of untangling the unofficial official status that French enjoys here, including a reference to the French Language Services Policy of 1999. While nobody who lives in Manitoba would be surprised to see the French pronunciation of the province name alongside the English one (we get all official - and lots of unofficial - documentation in both languages) I would no longer argue strongly in favour of its inclusion. I did not realize that they needed verification, the Davison page has been on Wikipedia for years without any problems. I am disgusted on how you nominate Allen Ritter for deletion, again. How can you say that he is isn't notable? Kodak Black should've been deleted, even through I endorsed it, because Allen has way more credits than Kodak, with the latter only having one charted song (featured artist) and mixtape, which haven't been in the Billboard Hot 100 yet. Plus, Allen has been in the music industry longer than Kodak, Kodak is only beginning to get recognition, Allen was way more recognition than him, he worked with tons of artists, versus Kodak, yet you think that Kodak's article should be kept instead.

Also, even if he is Grammy nominated with 18 other people, you thinking its "hardly" a nomination, its still a nomination, you are incorrectly marking him that he fails WP:MUSICBIO, which you know it isn't true. You can't just blow it off like its nothing, plus he was one of the few people that ever got nominated once, versus some of the other artists in the nomination, which have been nominated before. Just to add to it, you really don't need a lot of sources for the production discography, since you can simply google it to find out, or go the album page that has his credit, obviously it will be there too.

You didn't "save" the article, you didn't even add new sources, makes no sense of saying that you tried to "save" the article, you only removed sources. Even with the info you removed, his article still has more info than Kodak's article, the Kodak article really fails WP:BIO, since Kodak is barely notable in the music industry, with regards to credit, only fame, but Allen is much more notable in the music industry, with regards to credit, plus his article has less info, Allen's article has way more info, and Allen has songs that he was involved with that were RIAA certified, you can google it for proof. During the Civil War it had the largest amphibious operation in American military history until the Allied invasion of Normandy. Thanks for your notes on my edits to the Peterborough Ontario page, and for replacing the edits which I made after reverting them. I have just re-uploaded the image of city hall which you reverted. I feel this image captures the building in a way which more properly represents the building than the previous image, which is 11 years old and doesn't show much of the building. I have hopefully addressed your concerns about it being oversized by making it 400px wide instead of 500px. You said the image was blurry in your notes on the reversion. If you click it to see a larger version it can take a few seconds to show clearly because the master file is large. It will look blurry until it fully loads. However, after it loads you'll see that it isn't blurry. I understand now that the original spelling of counsilor was correct, and I appreciate you amending this. Hi Michael, generally the size of an image should be 220 px (see WP:IMAGESIZE). This lets images load well on most competers and mobile devices, and will not squeeze out text. It also leaves enough room for others to add more images. Sometimes images look better when larger, such as panoramas, and there is a special template for adding wide images. Hi there! Just got your notification on my talk page. Supposedly, I have entered unsourced material on the CIQB-FM page. That is untrue, as I have entered sources from CIQB's new website, as well as radio industry websites RadioInsight and Airchecker.ca. What am I not getting exactly? I did source it correctly, as is required when entering new information. (Also, I just realized this, it turns out that CIQB has been branded as "B101" from 1994 to 2016, but I misread where it said that it rebranded as Energy Radio in 2000 (which is not true, as it retained the B101 moniker during its shift to AC and then back to Hot AC). Not trying to start any confusion or conflicts here. Just need some guidance. I would love to avoid this whole blocking issue altogether as much as possible, and have an open ear (and eyes, in this case) on how to properly edit. Thanks.

Regarding the removal of "Thomas Calhoun Walker" from Gloucester County, Virginia, Mr. Walker is not notable, but was listed in the "notable people" section of that article, along with a link to his former house, the T.C. Walker House, which is notable. Perhaps I should have left a more detailed edit summary than " the house is notable" when I removed Mr. Walker from the notable people list of Gloucester County, Virginia. The article about Walker's house, which is located in Gloucester Courthouse, Virginia, is located on that article, where it should be. You all removed sourced content, which came directly from the Kentucky High School Athletic Association, the main organization in that state for managing high school athletics...and then you blocked the user for "nonuseful edits"?! I can't even begin to find the words to describe this one.

Not only did the four of you revert sourced content, but you misused TWINKLE, Fuzheado blocked a user for doing nothing wrong thereby misusing his admin powers. I have to ask, Gloucester County edit aside for the moment, why should I not drag the four of you to ANI for misuse of tools and abuse of power?

Onto Gloucester County, Mr. Walker lived in the Thomas Calhoun Walker House, so, technically, he is notable as the house is named after him. Having a house (or a lake or a mountain) named after you doesn't necessarily make you notable. For example, the Francis J. Woolley House is named for lawyer Francis J. Woolley, who appears from a very cursory Bing search not notable enough to be included on the list of people from Oak Park, Illinois (where he isn't). As for the T.C. Walker House, it is actually named for T.C. Walker, Sr. (Thomas Calhoun Walker was his son).

Regarding inclusion criteria for a U.S. county notable people list, Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. counties gives no direction. However, the Walker House is actually located in a census-designated place, so let's refer to Wikipedia:WikiProject Cities/US Guideline which is quite specific, stating that:

• to be included in a list of notable people, individuals must still meet the notability requirements per WP:PEOPLE, and
• having a wiki article "is not the sole rationale for inclusion, since some people who might meet notable standards may not have an article, but it is a quick reference. If challenged, additions without their own article should be removed and discussed on the talk page of the city, until a consensus is reached."

Back to T.C. Walker. He was born into slavery, but eventually became the first black attorney in Gloucester County. He founded a company that supported land acquisition by blacks, and was instrumental in launching schools for blacks in Gloucester County. He was also twice elected to the Board of Supervisors. Does he meet Wikipedia's notability criteria? I dunno. I've created articles on a few other black civil rights leaders, such as Maxine Smith, Charles C. Diggs, Sr., and George Washington Lee, and I don't think there's enough notability for an article on Walker, or for inclusion on a notable people list (though he was certainly an outstanding and accomplished person). You may wish try writing an article on Walker, or seek input and consensus from other editors at the Gloucester Courthouse, Virginia talk page regarding the addition of Walker to that article's notable people list. As far as the sports stuff in Kentucky, the content being added for the most part would not have even been appropriate in the articles on the school's themselves. Although I cannot point to any discussion where a consensus was made, it is well established precident we don't discuss amateur sports in settlement articles. Wikipedia is not a collection of all things. To me it seems that high school sports belong in the articles on high schools. If there was good solid secondary sourcing illustrating the cultural importance of high school sports to the community, I could see that content. But poorly formed Listings of minor achievement? No way. And please educate me on how any of us misused twinkle. The editor in question was blocked for non response to talk page queries, a perfectly valid block. To date he has not responded although since he started up again after his block and stopped after I templated him again....I'm pretty sure he saw it. Since you actually can't show me an actual consensus, I'm going to tentatively assume that there isn't one. The Kentucky High School Athletic Association is a notable source and is clearly reliable in this instance. If the information couldn't be used in the page about the high school (if there isn't a page), then it being added to the town page is perfectly fine. I know, I've used WP:USCITIES on an GA/FA/TFA article before. The listings could have been made a little clearer, that we agree on. There could be a better written sentence or two added with the source.

Actually, every edit I made was backed by policy, and most times I actually cited the policy in my edit summary. I was very careful not to make edits which could appear vexatious (although I did made four reverts in 24 hours). It may appear as if two editors were squabbling, but I was trying to save an article from a flood of unsourced and trivial content. Small towns in Mississippi are definitely more fun than rappers, and actually seem to have a lot more experienced page watchers. Speaking of which, GNIS was down for maintenance last weekend and it was like losing my right arm. I've been working all week on an article about "Old Greenville", the former county seat of Jefferson County, Mississippi and once a flourishing community, until the place just vanished off the map. The cable television section lists systems, ownership, equipment in use, channels carried, capacity, coverage area. However, the Greater Vancouver article gets 321 views per day, while the Vancouver article gets 5,113 views per day, so readers are going to the Vancouver article for information about this place. I copied a clause that included a link to Canada; that is the 1 thing you are right that I should have caught. The pronoun reference is/was to the last relevant noun, viz CITY. A single sentence should not jump around in its reference to Vancouver & Greater Vancouver, anyway. Windsor is right on the border. If Vancouver is considered a border city also, how about Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Montreal, Toronto. Such an ill-defined & confusing assertion about border city does not belong in the lede. Howdy Magnolia677, You recently made an AfD(?) to my edit yesterday of the Rockport, Texas page. You cited the lack of a "reliable source".

The source of much of my expansion of that paragraph (Copano Bay Fishing Pier) was in fact some of the content found on that very Wiki link of the paragraph title (the Pier). The bays/water/tide/sealife reference is inferred by the "Geography" sections, and common marine estuarine knowledge. The presence of 'resort piers' can be verified by their webpages (not allowed here I assume), if any; many private homes have them too.

I thought it useful to a reader, potential visitor, to see more detail there on the Rockport page. As a matter of fact, that original "Pier" section/paragraph, and much of other paragraphs of the entire Rockport entry itself, were written and/or edited by me some time ago (the older version(s) was/were a mess). I wrote in the spirit of enlightening far flung Wikipedia readers, objectively and without bias (I hope), about one of the Gulf Coast's more interesting places. A place I have personally enjoyed for about four decades, and that has changed tremendously; although not near as much as another place of 'mine', SPI.

As far as the rest of my last edit, concerning fishing activities, etc., I provided a reference to the "TPWD", the Texas Parks and Wildlife Division, who administer licensing, and provide much useful information, about all TX water activities.

And as for any other Rockport related information I may have provided, I live there part-time (and less than 100 miles away the rest of the time), not hundreds of miles away. (glad I wrote about the TPWD, just remembered I need to renew my yacht's TX registration ASAP) I hope I've done this correctly, I've been using Wikipedia since it's inception, only signed in a few years ago, and make relatively few 'edits'.

I realize the admin-edit-archive features of the site are necessarily extremely complex (as my work life was), academically rooted, and I am many decades out of Uni; I find it awkward, but I'm learning. Would you consider reverting all or part of your deletion of my edit? So when you added over two paragraphs of additional unsourced content, it was deleted with the appropriate edit summary. Thank you for finding a source for one of the paragraphs you added. I have tagged, but not deleted, the second paragraph which appears to be original research.

Please take a moment to look at the article Lake Ontario Ordnance Works (LOOW). I wrote much of it, and it is "good article". Now click on a Google map and look at the satellite view of the LOOW. On the south side of the LOOW is Pletcher Road. See how there appears to be a second dirt road right next to Pletcher Road? It actually was a second road running parallel to Pletcher, and was built so trucks carrying explosives or radioactive waste wouldn't have head-on collisions. I did add Aaron's twitter page as an external link to his Wikipedia page, which notes Framingham as his location. In terms of his biographical connection to there I admit I do not know that exactly. There have, over many years, been differences between editors over the content of that article. I have attempted, more than once, to get a discussion going on criteria for inclusion, but that has always failed to get the necessary traction. The current consensus - which of course can change through discussion - is that those associated with "rock music" in any way, very loosely defined, can be included. This has been interpreted as including R&B, country, jazz, etc., musicians and associated non-musicians. I'm always happy to have a discussion over inclusion criteria on the article talk page - but it is quite a contentious issue, with differences between US and UK editors only one part of it. Unsure why you keep removing rather than simply editing entries on these pages where I've been adding the novel "Calamity" to pop culture sections (especially on the pages where this section is so spare). Is your critique with the content or the level of detail? I did a Template:Clear to clean the space, and I hope it worked at least some. I think the font size has been reduced at some continental Canadian climates. I can go around looking for those, since I am not an expert on Weatherboxes, I mainly use copy and paste. I'll be coming back when I find how it's been done. How do you know that the article doesn't verify the performance at the venue just because it's not in english? The title clearly says " "Bruno Mars acclamé à Bercy". Basically, if a biography has enough reliable secondary sources (not interviews or stuff people writes themselves), and the subject of the article has achieved some benchmark of notability (won some big award; played in the major leagues; has some songs that have genuinely charted), most editors will agree the article is notable. Hi Magnolia677! I certainly understand that it's a daunting task to keep Wikipedia clean of spam, advertising, and rubbish, and I'm grateful for the work that you are doing. I urge you, however, to reconsider your recent nominations for deletion of the articles Charles Dwelley and The Concrete Herald. It seems to me that you only glanced at these articles, and didn't realize that most of the article about Dwelley was written NOT on the basis of his own Concrete Herald articles, but on the basis of independent secondary sources that were provided. Please examine these sources, and you'll find that they are at least comparable to the sources that are you've used in your own article Maxine Smith.

In addition, when you made your nominations, I was working on incorporating these same sources into the article about the paper. Moreover, the paper is not a small town newspaper. It covered many towns of all upper Skagit Valley, and was frequently re-quoted nationwide. (All this information is already substantiated in Dwelley's article). The bottom line is that both subjects are extensively covered in independent sources that I already outlined within your Dwelley deletion nomination.

( talk page stalker) 凰兰时罗, you are mistaken on how the deletion process works. There is no backlog. An AfD discussion is open for 10 days. If concensus is not reached in that time it may be re listed. However, in both of these cases it is doubtful re listing will be needed. The article on the newspaper is sourced entirely to the newspaper or to a book it published. There are 0 independent sources and hence there is 0 showing of notability. The biography is slightly better, but not much. Neither the newspaper he owned or a book that paper published can be used to show his notability. All the other sources are from Seattle which is too local to show any widespread notability. Magnolia677 and myself may of course both be wrong, but at least for the newspaper, I doubt it. I agree with you on the newspaper. In its present form, it doesn't provide truly independent sources, I plan to fix it shortly. However, I do not understand your argument regarding Seattle Times. I didn't see anything in the polices that would support your assertion that some secondary sources may be too or not too 'local'. Clearly Seattle Times is completely independent of Charles Dwelley or The Concrete Herald. There is no question here, correct? Thank you, Magnolia677, for explaining the errors in my changes to the titular article. I was previously unaware that expanding stub articles from corresponding pages in other languages was generally frowned upon, (especially after having seen other articles asking for people to do just that). I understand, having read the citation explanation that you gave me a link to, the importance of legitimate references made during edits. The aforementioned edits were made when I saw the comparative lack of information on the article, when compared to French, Italian and Catalan! I thought that it was a great shame that the English version had so little information in comparison. When going back to the article, I did however re-instate the map of Old Latium, as I believe that it greatly enriches the page (the map came from the page Old Latium).

I shall see if I can find any reliable resources that could be used as references in the future.

You know that "Removing unsourced content" you always say and do on the guest appearances of discography pages well there is plenty of discography pages that is unsourced for the guest appearances. Sorry for not leaving an edit summary on the Beckley, West Virginia, article. I will try to re-do my change with an edit summary. My change corrected an error in the article. The article stated that when Raleigh County was created in 1850, Beckleyville was named the county seat. The origin for this information is a 1904 book on the history of West Virginia. However, the book is wrong because the acts of the Virginia legislature 1849-50 are available on line, digitized by Google, and clearly the the bill named the county seat Beckley, not Beckleyville. Beckleyville was never the official name of the town, either by legislation or post office name. I have a web site on the history of Beckley and Raleigh County at tripod.com and I had made this same error on my web site, trusting the 1904 book, and I presume the Wikipedia error came from copying from my web page. I only noticed this error today, looking at the actual act of the Virignia legislature, and I can't update my web page because Tripod is upgrading their network over the weekend. The Wikipedia Beckley article has another error, stating that the first cable TV system in the U. S. was in Beckley. This is nonsense, as cable TV came to Beckley in 1964, whereas cable TV originated in the U. S. in the 1940s. In the New York City Department of Correction, their is a meritoriously or specialty gained titled of Correction Investigator. These investigators either work in units focused on investigations of the sorts such as Applicant Investigations Unit (AIU), Intelligence Division (ID), Gang Intelligence Unit (GIU) and etc. unmong other units. Meritoriously others work in Recruitment Unit, Emergency Services Unit and other positions Department-Wide.
