The place was crawling with poisonous snakes but I managed to get a pretty good picture. I also created a category for the article Category:Settlements destroyed during the American Civil War. Can you can think of any places that were completely destroyed during the Civil War and weren't rebuilt? It would be nice to get more use out of this category. Cheers! You recently undid a revision I made of the article Decatur. I had added the amateur astronomer Loren C. Ball as one of the towns "notable people". None of the other entries in the list does have a source (other than the Wikipedia-internal reference), so I assume "unsourced" must refer to something else. There clearly cannot be an issue of relevance either since L. Ball is one of the most prolific amateur astronomers, and the asteroid named after the town adds relevance.
If an external source is needed, would any of the following be suitable?

With all due respect, I disagree. Roy Orbison is notable. I asked, "what is a significant amount of time?" and received no answer. Orbison grew up in many different places during his youth, landing in Wink, a tiny town about 50 west of Odessa, during his high school years. He then went away to college at Denton for a year to study geology before moving back to play music with band mates that he mostly went to high school with. He also took coursework unrelated to music at the local community college, back home. Odessa is the only place where all of this could happen. It was there that he and his band began playing at various venues in and around that city, including regularly scheduled afternoon shows at local TV stations, and eventually leading up to making their first recorded single at an Odessa recording studio that caught the attention of people able to get them a major contract in Memphis.
I don't know what a significant amount of time is, but the year that he spent there was significant. He didn't JUST go to school. If all he did was to go there to study geology for a year and move away, then I agree, there would be nothing notable. That's not what happened and his significance is not to the college (he's not a famous geologist!), it's to the town. Orbison's time in Odessa is discussed somewhat prominently in his Wikipedia article as well as in his official biography on his website <ref> http://royorbison.com/roy-orbison-official-biography/<ref> as the place where he got started. He should be mentioned in an article about Odessa. Where else would you put it, if not in the "Notable People" section? I'm open to suggestion.

I think the nomination form stated that the house is about four miles south of Church Hill on the east side of the highway. The house that is four miles south of the Episcopal church on the east side of the highway has three dormers - though they appear to be on the wrong side of the house. The house does have what appears to be the usual ornamental lake out by the highway that many of the planter's homes have. 31.664697, -91.234389 Maybe this is the one. I really don't know, though. - I studied the house again, and think that this is the correct one. Everything matches the description except for the six dormer part. It looks like they removed the three front dormers, leaving only three on the back. The dormers seem to have been added when the house was renovated in the twentieth century, so they possibly weren't considered historically important.

You stated that Wikipedia does not make note of every lawsuit, however this Federal Case is integral in the history of Martin Tankleff and was not only cited yesterday in the Long Island Business News but the New York Newsday Please see note that Martin Tankleff history on Wikipedia is continually growing and he is represented by Barry Scheck of Innocence Project. Although you may feel that Wikipedia should not reference all lawsuits, this in particular is a National and Federal Case in regards to Martin Tankleff's Wrongful Conviction and absolutely should be noted as it is covered on an ongoing basis. - @ Zigzig20s: The Delta is kind of frozen in time. You drive through places like Rosedale, Mississippi and the homes are spectacular, though most are abandoned. The main street looks like everyone just packed up and left (the pic of Main Street is mine). Also, look at my picture at Friars Point, Mississippi. The most famous blues players in the world hung out there. One of the most peaceful places I've ever been is the grave of James L. Alcorn, in the middle of nowhere. I put a photo of it on his article. For a real hoot, look at a satellite view of this location... 32°38′56″N 90°56′22″W / 32.648775°N 90.939418°W. That tower was built for the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and was where the Soggy Bottom Boys recorded Man of Constant Sorrow at radio station "WEZY" see [7]. Only the mast tower remains. I noticed your revert at Europe first carried the edit summary "unsourced," and I would like to point out that the text added by the IP editor named the source explicitly. It's a fairly well regarded author, the book printed by a prominent publisher.
Reverting the editor for other reasons might be fair game, for instance undue weight given to these facts, or misinterpretation of the source, or awkward insertion of contrary themes to create reader confusion. It might be a good idea to raise the question at Talk:Europe first so that interested editors could see whether the material is worth having, and to determine how it should shape the narrative arc. Dear Magnolia677... I'm sorry that I keep reverting the unsourced content that I added to the article <<Mendoza, Texas>> that you had removed. I understand that I need to source the info to make it more relevant, but I think I may need some help with that. I added all of the information that you removed because I wanted to extend the article to remove it from it's stub status. The information I had added to the article were from sources that have already been cited. For example, I added the information about education, the populations reported in the community and the businesses from the 1936 county highway map on the article from the article of the community on the online website from the <<Handbook of Texas>>. I also found the school district that the community is currently served by from the <<GreatSchools>> school district boundaries map and from a website called hometownlocator.com. I also received the degrees of latitude and longitude from the same website. I got the businesses that are currently in operation in the community and the driving distances from those major cities on <<Google Maps>>. I will remove the driving distance from the <<Gulf of Mexico>> and the <<Mexico-United States border>> from the article and just use the major cities the community is closest to. I read how to cite sources that have already been sourced onto information that I added, but I don't really understand it. I also want to cite the websites that I received the distances from the community to other major cities, the map of the school district the community is currently served by from the <<GreatSchools>> website, and the hometownlocator.com website that I received the information on the school district boundaries for the district that the community is served by, as well as the lines of latitude and longitude. I added the information to the article because I thought that the information I received was from websites that were already sourced, and they would be okay, but I never knew that I had to cite those sources. I don't understand how to recite sources that have already been cited. Will you please help me by teaching me how to do this process? I will not let you do it, because I find that wrong, but I added this information to the article, and instead of having you do it, I want you to tell me how to do this, because I added this info, and you didn't. I would really appreciate it if you helped me learn how to do this. I do not want this article to be classified as a stub anymore, and in the future, I want to expand more pages that are classified as stubs by adding more information to those articles, as well as creating more articles on here. So if you would help me learn how to recite sources that have already been cited, as well as sourcing the websites I received the information from, that would be a big help. Dear Magnolia677... I want to let you know that what I am talking about is Repeated citations. What I told you is I had read this portion of that page so I could resource the Handbook of Texas online to the information I added to this article. I don't really understand how to resource this website. I also read WP:USCITIES and looked at what to add to different categories of the information I added to this article. In other words, I looked at the Geography section of this WikiProject. Just like what you said about excessive geographic data about distances to a bunch of other places doesn't add a lot to the article, I am going to write the distances to those cities to the community via what road or highway to take, just like what it shows on many articles of incorporated cities and towns in the US, such as the article about Lockhart, Texas. On the History section of this WikiProject, I had read that I can add the populations of original inhabitants, original settlements, recessions, reasons for settlement and growth, and features. I am going to add the features that were shown on the 1936 highway map of the community to this section, but not businesses that are currently in operation in the community today, because you were very helpful in telling me that hometownlocator.com mirrors information from Wikipedia, and I want to thank you for that. There are no demographics for the community, because the United States Census Bureau doesn't show the demographics of unincorporated communities in the nation. With the education section of this WikiProject, I want to add the school the community had in 1905 as well as the school shown on the 1936 county highway map to that section, with the addition of the current school district it is served by with the resource that you gave me for school data. If I can't add information that has already been written down in another section of the article, please let me know. Will you please go to Repeated citations and tell me how to repeat the Handbook of Texas citation so that I can source this content to make it relevant? I got the same information I added to this article from the same website that has already been sourced. The last time I contacted you, I told you I will not let you add the information for me because I added this information to this article, and you didn't, and it would be foolish on my part to have you do this for me. - @ Hooplamoneu89: At Template:New York City Malls, the template stated that the article was about malls in the "New York metropolitan area". Then, you then added a pipe to the same link, and named the link "Greater New York metropolitan area". Then you started loading malls to the template located all the way in Albany, and began adding the template to those mall articles. These sorts of shenanigans are often forgiven for a new editor, but now you are edit warring over it. If I were you, I'd remove the template from the articles you added it to, then I'd see if I could gain consensus on the template's talk page to make a sweeping change to the geographic area it covers. It's come to my attention today that you have been removing my edits because they are unsourced. I understand that If something is unsourced then there is a possibility it being false. Firstly I would like to add that the edits on do on Wikipedia are not false and are always true, especially the edits one songs releases, etc. You removals of my edits first occurred when I went to French Montana discography, when I added a song he was featured in with David Guetta, Afrojack and Charli XCX called "Dirty Sexy Money". I checked other recents edits that I did and you removed those too, without doing your own research regarding whether these were false or not. So I decided to undo everything you removed. Now you seemed to have removed my edit on Viper Recordings again! (I did not see your warning until I undid your removal, so its back up again)
So you are obviously removing my edits because they are unsourced, correct? Well some of my edits that you removed were added back in by users that WERE NOT me! They to were UNSOURCED! These were Everything Everything discography and David Guetta discography. So you removed my edits because they were unsourced, but why not edits that were made by others unsourced? Personally I think you should quickly check to see if these edits are true beforehand, instead of removing them without a moments hesitation.
I would like you to know that my edits are not false information, unsourced or not! So I kindly ask of you to not get me banned from editing on these pages, because most of the record label discography's are only ever really edited and kept up to date by me.

If the information you added is correct, and I don't for a minute believe it's not, then it should be very easy to find a reliable source to support it. - There is something in the MOS about not adding links within quotes (even though everyone does it).

Wikipedia:Notability (academics) or
WP:AUTHOR isn't firm, and the article is mostly a review of his writing. However, he would likely pass
WP:BASIC and

You recently undid a revision I made of the article Decatur. I had added the amateur astronomer Loren C. Ball as one of the towns "notable people". None of the other entries in the list does have a source (other than the Wikipedia-internal reference), so I assume "unsourced" must refer to something else. There clearly cannot be an issue of relevance either since L. Ball is one of the most prolific amateur astronomers, and the asteroid named after the town adds relevance.

With all due respect, I disagree. Roy Orbison is notable. I asked, "what is a significant amount of time?" and received no answer. Orbison grew up in many different places during his youth, landing in Wink, a tiny town about 50 west of Odessa, during his high school years. He then went away to college at Denton for a year to study geology before moving back to play music with band mates that he mostly went to high school with. He also took coursework unrelated to music at the local community college, back home. Odessa is the only place where all of this could happen. It was there that he and his band began playing at various venues in and around that city, including regularly scheduled afternoon shows at local TV stations, and eventually leading up to making their first recorded single at an Odessa recording studio that caught the attention of people able to get them a major contract in Memphis.
I don't know what a significant amount of time is, but the year that he spent there was significant. He didn't JUST go to school. If all he did was to go there to study geology for a year and move away, then I agree, there would be nothing notable. That's not what happened and his significance is not to the college (he's not a famous geologist!), it's to the town. Orbison's time in Odessa is discussed somewhat prominently in his Wikipedia article as well as in his official biography on his website <ref> http://royorbison.com/roy-orbison-official-biography/<ref> as the place where he got started. He should be mentioned in an article about Odessa. Where else would you put it, if not in the "Notable People" section? I'm open to suggestion.

I think the nomination form stated that the house is about four miles south of Church Hill on the east side of the highway. The house that is four miles south of the Episcopal church on the east side of the highway has three dormers - though they appear to be on the wrong side of the house. The house does have what appears to be the usual ornamental lake out by the highway that many of the planter's homes have. 31.664697, -91.234389 Maybe this is the one. I really don't know, though. - I studied the house again, and think that this is the correct one. Everything matches the description except for the six dormer part. It looks like they removed the three front dormers, leaving only three on the back. The dormers seem to have been added when the house was renovated in the twentieth century, so they possibly weren't considered historically important.

- @ Zigzig20s: The Delta is kind of frozen in time. You drive through places like Rosedale, Mississippi and the homes are spectacular, though most are abandoned. The main street looks like everyone just packed up and left (the pic of Main Street is mine). Also, look at my picture at Friars Point, Mississippi. The most famous blues players in the world hung out there. One of the most peaceful places I've ever been is the grave of James L. Alcorn, in the middle of nowhere. I put a photo of it on his article. For a real hoot, look at a satellite view of this location... 32°38′56″N 90°56′22″W / 32.648775°N 90.939418°W. That tower was built for the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou?, and was where the Soggy Bottom Boys recorded Man of Constant Sorrow at radio station "WEZY" see [7]. Only the mast tower remains. I noticed your revert at Europe first carried the edit summary "unsourced," and I would like to point out that the text added by the IP editor named the source explicitly. It's a fairly well regarded author, the book printed by a prominent publisher.
Reverting the editor for other reasons might be fair game, for instance undue weight given to these facts, or misinterpretation of the source, or awkward insertion of contrary themes to create reader confusion. It might be a good idea to raise the question at Talk:Europe first so that interested editors could see whether the material is worth having, and to determine how it should shape the narrative arc. Dear Magnolia677... I'm sorry that I keep reverting the unsourced content that I added to the article <<Mendoza, Texas>> that you had removed. I understand that I need to source the info to make it more relevant, but I think I may need some help with that. I added all of the information that you removed because I wanted to extend the article to remove it from it's stub status. The information I had added to the article were from sources that have already been cited. For example, I added the information about education, the populations reported in the community and the businesses from the 1936 county highway map on the article from the article of the community on the online website from the <<Handbook of Texas>>. I also found the school district that the community is currently served by from the <<GreatSchools>> school district boundaries map and from a website called hometownlocator.com. I also received the degrees of latitude and longitude from the same website. I got the businesses that are currently in operation in the community and the driving distances from those major cities on <<Google Maps>>. I will remove the driving distance from the <<Gulf of Mexico>> and the <<Mexico-United States border>> from the article and just use the major cities the community is closest to. I read how to cite sources that have already been sourced onto information that I added, but I don't really understand it. I also want to cite the websites that I received the distances from the community to other major cities, the map of the school district the community is currently served by from the <<GreatSchools>> website, and the hometownlocator.com website that I received the information on the school district boundaries for the district that the community is served by, as well as the lines of latitude and longitude. I added the information to the article because I thought that the information I received was from websites that were already sourced, and they would be okay, but I never knew that I had to cite those sources. I don't understand how to recite sources that have already been cited. Will you please help me by teaching me how to do this process? I would really appreciate it if you helped me learn how to do this. I do not want this article to be classified as a stub anymore, and in the future, I want to expand more pages that are classified as stubs by adding more information to those articles, as well as creating more articles on here. So if you would help me learn how to recite sources that have already been cited, as well as sourcing the websites I received the information from, that would be a big help. - @ Colman2000: Hometownlocator.com and GreatSchools are not great sources. Often, they mirror information from Wikipedia. This is a good source for school data. The Handbook of Texas is also a good source. You may also want to read WP:USCITIES. Also, excessive geographic data about distances to a bunch of places doesn't add a lot to the article. Good luck. Dear Magnolia677... I want to let you know that what I am talking about is Repeated citations. What I told you is I had read this portion of that page so I could resource the Handbook of Texas online to the information I added to this article. I don't really understand how to resource this website. I also read WP:USCITIES and looked at what to add to different categories of the information I added to this article. In other words, I looked at the Geography section of this WikiProject. Just like what you said about excessive geographic data about distances to a bunch of other places doesn't add a lot to the article, I am going to write the distances to those cities to the community via what road or highway to take, just like what it shows on many articles of incorporated cities and towns in the US, such as the article about Lockhart, Texas. On the History section of this WikiProject, I had read that I can add the populations of original inhabitants, original settlements, recessions, reasons for settlement and growth, and features. I am going to add the features that were shown on the 1936 highway map of the community to this section, but not businesses that are currently in operation in the community today, because you were very helpful in telling me that hometownlocator.com mirrors information from Wikipedia, and I want to thank you for that. There are no demographics for the community, because the United States Census Bureau doesn't show the demographics of unincorporated communities in the nation. With the education section of this WikiProject, I want to add the school the community had in 1905 as well as the school shown on the 1936 county highway map to that section, with the addition of the current school district it is served by with the resource that you gave me for school data. If I can't add information that has already been written down in another section of the article, please let me know. Will you please go to Repeated citations and tell me how to repeat the Handbook of Texas citation so that I can source this content to make it relevant? I got the same information I added to this article from the same website that has already been sourced. The last time I contacted you, I told you I will not let you add the information for me because I added this information to this article, and you didn't, and it would be foolish on my part to have you do this for me. - @ Hooplamoneu89: At Template:New York City Malls, the template stated that the article was about malls in the "New York metropolitan area". Then, you then added a pipe to the same link, and named the link "Greater New York metropolitan area". Then you started loading malls to the template located all the way in Albany, and began adding the template to those mall articles. These sorts of shenanigans are often forgiven for a new editor, but now you are edit warring over it. If I were you, I'd remove the template from the articles you added it to, then I'd see if I could gain consensus on the template's talk page to make a sweeping change to the geographic area it covers. It's come to my attention today that you have been removing my edits because they are unsourced. I understand that If something is unsourced then there is a possibility it being false. Firstly I would like to add that the edits on do on Wikipedia are not false and are always true, especially the edits one songs releases, etc. You removals of my edits first occurred when I went to French Montana discography, when I added a song he was featured in with David Guetta, Afrojack and Charli XCX called "Dirty Sexy Money". I checked other recents edits that I did and you removed those too, without doing your own research regarding whether these were false or not. So I decided to undo everything you removed. Now you seemed to have removed my edit on Viper Recordings again! (I did not see your warning until I undid your removal, so its back up again)
So you are obviously removing my edits because they are unsourced, correct? Well some of my edits that you removed were added back in by users that WERE NOT me! They to were UNSOURCED! These were Everything Everything discography and David Guetta discography. So you removed my edits because they were unsourced, but why not edits that were made by others unsourced? Personally I think you should quickly check to see if these edits are true beforehand, instead of removing them without a moments hesitation.
I would like you to know that my edits are not false information, unsourced or not! So I kindly ask of you to not get me banned from editing on these pages, because most of the record label discography's are only ever really edited and kept up to date by me.

If the information you added is correct, and I don't for a minute believe it's not, then it should be very easy to find a reliable source to support it. My sentiment at the moment is to let the ANI complaint run its course, and I'm keeping an eye on his contributions (which aren't 100% unhelpful, it should be noted) every morning my time and fixing the more egregious weirdnesses. - "Reviewing it for the Tennessee Historical Quarterly", you may want repeat what the "it" is (the book).
- There is something in the MOS about not adding links within quotes (even though everyone does it).
- I was concerned someone might BLP PROD the article because Tuck's notability under
Wikipedia:Notability (academics) or
WP:AUTHOR isn't firm, and the article is mostly a review of his writing. However, he would likely pass
WP:BASIC and
WP:ANYBIO, as there appears to be much written about him, such as
