Hi there,

I see on your user page that you live in Montreal. I am going to assume that you have heard of Place Ville-Marie in asking you this question. The reports of the number of floors in Place Ville-Marie vary from 43 to 46. Do you, with your Montreal expertise, know the actual number of floors in this structure, or could you possibly visit this building to find out? Thanks,

Thanks for the comments. You're right that the article still needs a lot of work, and I'm afraid my contributions are not "pitched" at a general audience – which is who wikipedia is for after all. I have re-written some of the terms I used in the introduction so they are more comprehensible.

Actually, I think the article as a whole is much too technical, and focuses too much on trying to clarify what the Frankfurt School's theoretical influences were, whereas it should better explain the aims of their research project (it was also a research project, not just an attempt to construct a theory out of other people's theories).

James Bohman's article for the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy is instructive in this regard. However, even some of his concepts are out of date when you consider Kompridis' work. However, Kompridis' published work is not easy to understand if you haven't been exposed to these ideas already.

I was a student of Kompridis – full disclosure – so I do have a useful perspective on this. In the next few weeks I will try to put together a more accessible picture of what these folks were up to with their "critical theory". And I will change the references to "Ibid".

Dear M3taphysical, I am a graduate student of Information Studies at Aarhus University, Denmark, and I am working on my master's thesis which is about Wikipedia, more specifically the Wikipedia community and how the knowledge in Wikipedia is constructed. In my research I am - among other things - going to focus on the construction of academic knowledge in Wikipedia. Since you are a participant in the, Sociology WikiProject I would like to ask you if you would be willing to do an interview about the way you work with Wikipedia, how it integrates with your daily life, and what motivates you to contribute etc. Since I live in Denmark the interview will be held through skype or a corresponding service.

I see you are a member of the Wikipedia Social and Political Philosophy task force. I wonder if you might be willing to help me with a review of a substantial redraft of the article How (philosophy) I proposed at: Talk:How_(book)#Request_for_review_of_Redraft . In addition to the social and political philosophical space, it also is about organizational philosophy. While I am an experienced Wikipedia editor and have written about two dozen articles,I have a COI as a paid consultant to the author of the primary book on the subject.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for the calculation of the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized).
