There is a large central tower with the entrance at its base as well as smaller tower at each corner of the building, each with a varying design. |blurb= The Smithsonian museums are the most widely visible part of the United States' Smithsonian Institution (pictured) and consist of nineteen museums and galleries as well as the National Zoological Park. Eleven of these museums are located on the National Mall, while the remainder are located elsewhere in Washington D.C. as well as New York City and Chantilly, Virginia. The museums have roughly 137 million objects such as works of art, natural specimens, cultural artifacts, etc., in their collections, and are visited by over 25 million people every year. The birth of the Smithsonian Institution can be traced to the acceptance of James Smithson's legacy, willed to the United States in 1826. In 1838, this legacy, which totaled more than $500,000, was delivered to the US Mint and in 1846, the Smithsonian Institution was established. The Institution grew slowly until 1964 when Sidney Dillon Ripley became secretary. Ripley managed, over a twenty year period, to expand the institution by eight museums and upped admission from 10.8 million to 30 million people a year. The newest Smithsonian museum, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, is slated to open in 2015.

Seeking consensus on when to edit File:Samesex marriage in USA.svg following new legislation/court-rulings
Hello, I have noticed you made edits on File talk:Samesex marriage in USA.svg and/or File talk:Samesex marriage in USA.svg/Archive 5, so I am contacting you to take part in a newly-formed discussion at File talk:Samesex marriage in USA.svg as for whether we should update the map directly when a new legislation or court-order hits the books or if we should wait until said action takes effect. Historically, we have been updating the map when the new legislation is signed (or veto overrode or won at the ballot box, etc.), and thus it can be inferred that the consensus is to update as soon as one of those occurs. A discussion has emerged in regards to whether we should begin updating from the effective date instead of from the date of signing/etc. If you have an opinion over this matter please post it at File_talk:Samesex_marriage_in_USA.svg#When_to_update_map.3F_Effective_date_or_signing.2Fruling_date

Hi Found5dollar, and thanks for your edit to the Porter Sq article. I found the photo of "Gift of the Wind" in the article for "Arts on the Line." - Hi Vistawhite. There is no problem with the actual photo, the problem is with the artwork. "Gift of the Wind" is still under copyright in the USA so pictures of it are not allowed on Wikipedia unless it is for an article directly about the work. Dear Found5dollar: Some time ago you reviewed the article Toronto Light Opera Association. It was my first article and fI picked a topic (atypically, I have since found out) that many editors were interested in, and I was getting a lot of conflicting advice. I eventually made several trips to a large library and found some microfilmed newspaper reviews to fill out the details about the organization. In 1838, this legacy, which totaled more than $500,000, was delivered to the US Mint and in 1846, the Smithsonian Institution was established. The Institution grew slowly until 1964 when Sidney Dillon Ripley became secretary. Ripley managed, over a twenty year period, to expand the institution by eight museums and upped admission from 10.8 million to 30 million people a year. The newest Smithsonian museum, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, is slated to open in 2015.

Seeking consensus on when to edit File:Samesex marriage in USA.svg following new legislation/court-rulings
Hello, I have noticed you made edits on File talk:Samesex marriage in USA.svg and/or File talk:Samesex marriage in USA.svg/Archive 5, so I am contacting you to take part in a newly-formed discussion at File talk:Samesex marriage in USA.svg as for whether we should update the map directly when a new legislation or court-order hits the books or if we should wait until said action takes effect. Historically, we have been updating the map when the new legislation is signed (or veto overrode or won at the ballot box, etc.), and thus it can be inferred that the consensus is to update as soon as one of those occurs. - Hi Vistawhite. There is no problem with the actual photo, the problem is with the artwork. "Gift of the Wind" is still under copyright in the USA so pictures of it are not allowed on Wikipedia unless it is for an article directly about the work. Dear Found5dollar: Some time ago you reviewed the article Toronto Light Opera Association. It was my first article and fI picked a topic (atypically, I have since found out) that many editors were interested in, and I was getting a lot of conflicting advice.
