This is a reminder that established policy provides for removal of the administrative permissions of users who have made fewer than 100 edits over a 60-month period. You are receiving this annual reminder since you have averaged less than 50 edits per year over the last 5 years.
Inactive administrators are encouraged to reengage with the project in earnest rather than to make token edits to avoid loss of administrative permissions. Resources and support for reengaging with the project are available at Wikipedia:WikiProject Editor Retention/administrators. If you do not intend to be engaged with the project in the foreseeable future, please consider voluntarily resigning your administrative permissions by making a request at the bureaucrats' noticeboard.

Hey Derek, you'll probably find this edit import I just did at the Glasgow article interesting. This edit of yours was previously the earliest one available (before my last history retrieval there), so it previously seemed like you created the page. Now the history shows that it was created by an American (from the IP address), tweaked by a Canadian (from the user page), and then you fixed it up with more local knowledge/wording (see the above diff) ... unless there are *still* edits missing, which I highly doubt! I especially notice the "River Clyde" change; that's very much UK/Ireland terminology, as you're probably well aware. You've doubtless noticed that even in Australia we'd say "Clyde River", like North American English. Graham 87 14:59, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

Hi Derek Ross, Would you please come back to Scots Wikipedia? You were one of the original Wikimedians who got it created in 2005, in fact the only supporter who said that they were a native speaker. Many articles there were written by people who don't really speak Scots — the project really needs you! 73.170.137.168 ( talk) 06:57, 14 February 2024 (UTC)
