Dave, I hope you don't leave for good. Long before there was a such thing as a "sysop" around here I, among other Wikipedians, strongly advocated that we don't give out "superpowers" like permenant deletion and IP blocking to some people but not others. I do believe most of the people who freely exercise those powers without using the checks and balances we've tried to put in place (like Wikipedia:Votes for deletion) do so with good intentions; however, the results are unfortunate.

Hi Dave. I was wondering if you could provide a source, notes, anything on the nature of the Amiga/Atari relationship in 1984? I haven't seen anything in print, and "the story" always implies that Tramiel basically told them to go jump when he took over Atari - this is the version I used in the Commodore article. However your comments in Jay Miner essentially reverse this, saying that Tramiel was scooped by Commodore after he left. Can you clear this up for me?

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated articles are Trainmaster Command Control, Digital Command System. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also " What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to the relevant discussion pages: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Trainmaster Command Control for Trainmaster Command Control, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Digital Command System for Digital Command System. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. -- Erwin85Bot ( talk) 21:39, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading File:Five_forks.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:14, 11 July 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG ( talk) 01:14, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Hello Dave Farquhar! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 942 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{ unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Mark Hanna requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Eeekster ( talk) 19:48, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

dude u made the k-line article- why don't you have it listed in your article list?? Daniel Christensen ( talk) 06:25, 3 May 2009 (UTC)
Just wanted to drop you a line thanking you (six years after the fact) for getting the Dave Dravecky article off to such a good start. I'm not actually related to Dave, as far as I know, but with this last name how could I not take an interest in his career. Oh, and I love your user page (and your confession to your "crimes") but, good news!, Tip O'Neill is a solid B-class article these days. - Dravecky ( talk) 08:22, 20 May 2009 (UTC)

The article High rail has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{
dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your

deletion processes exist. The
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and

Dust off your Polaroid camera and pack your best lenses. The first-ever Wikipedia Takes St. Louis photo hunt kicks off Sat, Sept. 15, around noon in downtown St. Louis. Tour the streets of the Rome of the West with other Wikipedians and even learn a little St. Louis history. This event is a fun and collaborative way to enhance St. Louis articles with visual content. The article Fandor has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Steve Howe (basseball player). Since you had some involvement with the Steve Howe (basseball player) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you wish to do so. Regards, SONIC 678 05:28, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
