Hello, DanTD. There is a new contest for U.S. and Canada roads that you may be interested in. To sign up or for more information, please visit User:Rschen7754/USRDCRWPCup. The contest begins Saturday at 00:00 UTC. Regards, Rschen7754 ( T C) 01:31, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
I actually did check that website before I deleted the various rumors, and none of them are actually there. In fact, the only expansion to an existing line on there is one station on the Union Pacific/Northwest Line (which was already in the article). So I think I'm safe in calling this one a WP:CRYSTAL, and probably WP:V, violation. -- TheCatalyst31 Reaction• Creation 02:34, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
New York City Meetup
|
In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, look at our approval by the Chapters Committee, develop ideas for chapter projects at museums and libraries throughout our region, and hold salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the November meeting's minutes and the December mini-meetup's minutes).
We'll make preparations for our exciting museum photography Wikipedia Loves Art! February bonanza ( on Flickr, on Facebook) with Shelley from the Brooklyn Museum and Alex from the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
We'll also be collecting folks to join our little Wikipedia Takes the Subway adventure which will be held the day after the meeting.
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and generally enjoy ourselves and kick back.
You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.
To keep up-to-date on local events, you can also join our

I'm working on a junction list for US 1 in Florida, which can be found in my sandbox. I have so far completed junctions in Monroe, Miami-Dade, and Broward Counties. Would it be okay if you - as a Florida state roads expert - can take some time to see any corrections to be made? Thanks.
Also, where do you find mileposts from the FDOT website for US 1? I can only find interstate highway and beltway mileposts at [1]. ---- M*gill*FR ( blab to me) 22:47, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for all of your efforts. While you're at it, there are two other articles that were clearly intended to be one: Debrosses Street (IRT Ninth Avenue Line) and Desbrosses Street (IRT Ninth Avenue Line). While you were renaming, it probably would have been a good idea to use endashes in the hyphenated names, as that is the usual standard.
There is, however, one further point to note. Let's say the ultimate disposition is to merge or redirect the articles. Unfortunately, it means there will be double work to eliminate all of the double redirects. That was why I proposed them for deletion rather than trying to fix them. County Road 337 (Florida) you worked on is in danger of deletion again. Here are some documents that may help:

Hi, Dan, I've been updating article links for images which you uploaded and tagged for WP:CSD#I8 deletion with {{ NowCommons}} after copying to Commons, in those cases where the local and commons filenames were not identical. I didn't update any links on user pages, however, so here's at least a partial list:

Linked in DanTD/Sandbox/National Register of Historic Places listings in Brookhaven:

Thanks for the deletions and moves. I've tried to remove more of them from articles I didn't want them to be in, and I wish I could've renamed them first. ---- DanTD ( talk) 00:06, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
