Hello, AnonymousStackOverflow,

Please remove the deletion notices from this page unless you would like it to be deleted. Right now, it is tagged for deletion and could be deleted by an administrator. If you would like to retain it as a sandbox, I'd remove the deletion tags from it. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 23:38, 30 November 2021 (UTC) reply

I removed them. Sorry, I thought that notices on my sandbox wouldn't automatically notify administrators. Thanks for pointing this out. Anonymous from Stack Overflow ( talk) 00:33, 1 December 2021 (UTC) reply

Just wanted to say I like your username. I think many programming folks have had bad experiences on Stack Overflow. In my opinion, that community is not very friendly to newcomers. Wikipedia has its own issues (big learning curve, lots of user talk warnings) but overall makes a cognizant effort to be friendlier than Stack Overflow, for example, WP:BITE. Anyway, hello, and happy editing :) – Novem Linguae ( talk) 15:50, 15 December 2021 (UTC) reply

Hi, I wanted to reach out an let you know I removed the PROD tag you added to the article on Felicia "Fe" Montes. I don't think an article can be prodded twice see: WP:PROD which says "PROD must only be used if no opposition to the deletion is expected. It must never be used simultaneously with a deletion discussion (AfD or FfD), and it may only be placed on a page a single time.". If you think the article should be deleted you should take it to AfD, however I think it may survive because her work is in two notable institutional permanent collections. Netherzone ( talk) 16:03, 15 December 2021 (UTC) reply

My purpose of creating that tag was to second the deletion, so I suppose that I've used the wrong template. Which template I should use for seconding the request? Anonymous from Stack Overflow ( talk) 16:36, 15 December 2021 (UTC) reply
The original PROD was disputed and removed (De-PRODed) before you added a second PROD. In the future, look through page history and talk history to determine if an article was aready Prodded/Deprodded. In this case, there was an "oldprod" template on the talk page. It's a confusing system (in my opinion). If you feel the article should be deleted you can nominate it for deletion per AfD. Netherzone ( talk) 16:49, 15 December 2021 (UTC) reply

OK, I will duct-tape my fingers together. :) Netherzone ( talk) 17:05, 15 December 2021 (UTC) reply
@ Netherzone: I think this was an attempt to second my PROD (as in, support it), which is usually fair game, but wasn't in this case because the PROD had already been contested. The notice on the talk page looks identical either way so long as the initial PROD was done less than 7 days ago. This confused me too when I put the old prod notice back on the talk page after the deprodding editor took it off by mistake (I may have screwed this up, but I did check, and I think it's working as intended).
@ AnonymousStackOverflow: If you do AfD this, I don't think it's terribly relevant to bring up that only two editors have done significant work on the page - it's brand new, so that's one more editor than usual already. Personally, I don't think being in two permanent collections is enough to satisfy notability guidelines given the state of the sourcing for the rest of the article (though being a performance artist does make that bar harder to clear and that might well be taken into account), but since the article doesn't look outright harmful I wasn't in a hurry to drag it to AfD myself after it was deprodded. I admit I'm looking for reasons to look the other way when it comes to these WikiEdu articles on underrepresented artists. -- asilvering ( talk) 16:58, 15 December 2021 (UTC) reply

A tag has been placed on File:The Little Red-Haired Girl in A Charlie Brown Valentine.webp requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
