You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it.
Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
Ask for help.
Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
Play in your user area. For example, create
User:YanT5/test.
Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example,
Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
When you're ready, read about
Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.
Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on
my own talk page.
There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to
talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should
sign your posts by typing four
tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. TBA/TBD
There is a difference between TBA and TBD. TBD is used when it is known how it will be determined. For example, Beer Money, Inc.'s opponents will be the winners of the British Invasion vs. Amazing Red/Suicide match, so TBD is used. If the spot will just be announced, like the participants of the Monster's Ball match, then TBA is used. TJSpyke20:53, 9 May 2009 (UTC)reply
There isn't a TNA specific portal, but there is a general professional wrestling portal. I am not in charge of it, I am not sure if anyone is (it's a collaborative project). TJSpyke21:21, 9 May 2009 (UTC)reply
Because there was no source for the match being announced. There can't be speculation about whether the match will happen or not. We all know that the Royal Rumble will have the Royal Rumble match, but we don't add it to the RR article until the match is announced. TJSpyke21:41, 9 May 2009 (UTC)reply
The consensus at
WP:PW is to not include nicknames (at least in match sections). Allen Jone's ringname is just "A.J. Styles", "The Phenomenal" is a nickname. Would you mind removing them from the Sacrifice article? TJSpyke21:50, 9 May 2009 (UTC)reply
It's no big deal, I made a lot of mistakes when I was new too. I was just letting you know so you don't make the same mistake again. Welcome to Wikipedia by the way. TJSpyke22:04, 9 May 2009 (UTC)reply

I see you are interested in working on a TNA PPV. I've expanding all the current TNA PPVs and wouldn't mind having a partnership with someone on another article. So if you are ever interested, drop me a line on my talk page.--

As part of
the project's New Year's Resolutions, there is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of stubs to 5%. As of May 23, we are at 7.66%, with 370 articles currently in
Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if members would expand, source and improve stub articles, and a list of well-known wrestlers and tag teams that should be fairly easy to improve is included on the
stub article subpage.
If you are actively editing and contributing to articles under the scope of WP:PW, it is suggested that you add your name to the
list of active members.
This section is intended to warn users about potential targets of
vandalism and
speculation: professional wrestling events from major
promotions for the months of
May and
June.
This section is devoted to helping project members become familiar with the
Manual of Style and general editing tips.
The
lead section of an article should introduce the subject and summarize the entire article.
Avoid using dirtsheets as sources. Adhere to
WP:RS when adding information with a source to articles. For a list of reliable and unreliable wrestling-related sources see
WP:PW/SG#Sources.
Please consider helping out with the project's
cleanup listing by fixing problems listed and removing the article from the listing.
Please familiarize yourself with the general
notability policy of Wikipedia. Avoid creating new articles that do not satisfy the requirements.
Avoid adding statements that will
date quickly, for example "soon" and "now".
Current: Several requested moves are still being discussed at
WT:PW#Proposed moves.
