Fist "new" church "fixed". Not the very best weather today, but it's not likely to get better anytime soon so I took the pics: File:Vårdklockans kyrka Visby Gotland 1.jpg, File:Vårdklockans kyrka Visby Gotland 2.jpg, File:Vårdklockans kyrka Visby Gotland 3.jpg. The "unknown" church is called Vårdklockans kyrka, previously known as Missionskyrkan. It is in use. Look here and here. It is mentioned in this list sv:Lista över byggnadsminnen i Gotlands län (now there's a list for you^^) as "Metodistkyrkan (Visby Vårdklockan 1)" and it is described here as "Gotland kn, VISBY VÅRDKLOCKAN 1, KV VÅRDKLOCKAN 1 METODISTKYRKAN". There is also another pic of it in the Commons, File:Vårdklockan1 metodistkyrka visby.jpg. I know the name sounds funny, but one should not try to translate it, it is simply a name of that area. I'm sure there is more about it, but this is enough to raise it from 'unknown'.
Hi again! We had a bit of luck today, an hour or so with sunshine, so I took the long way to work and managed to bag three churches: Terra Nova, Pingstkyrkan and Tjelvar. They are all in
Category:Churches in Visby. But why, oh why, must all churches be aligned in such a way that the sun always is into the camera if one wants to photograph during normal waking hours??
On my way from the car to work I went by the Cathedral and saw that it is being painstakingly renovated. Got some cool pics like the one here, more in the Commons at
Category:Visby domkyrka. Thanks for "leading me astray" from my usual path!^^ These pics are the only ones at Commons where the church looks like a project by
Christo and Jeanne-Claude. The renovation is mentioned
here. Might be fun, and a bit unusual, to include the wrapped up church on its page. What do you think? Always fun to do your pics,

Dricku is the national beverage of Gotland. The rest of the world is (thankfully) spared. It symbolizes and embodies the rebellious nature of Gotlanders and the harsh island. The un-official and very secret recipe for dricku is this: Take one (1) fairly large juniper. Hack it into moderately large pieces and place in a jerrycan. Do not remove anything! Dirt cleanses your system and spiders and bugs add flavor and protein. Add water and whatever is left in your pantry. Ferment until strong. The alcohol content is always a mystery, do not measure it. Dricku is the only beverage which can be consumed by people who never drink alcohol (see aforementioned mystery). It is also exempt from all laws and regulations about the selling, drinking and handling beverages. Note: All of the above is only valid on Gotland. An annual Dricku-making World Championship is held on Gotland at some illustrious location with a population larger that 14, Ref [1], Ref [2]. - w.carter -Talk 11:57, 6 November 2014 (UTC)
I see that you have done some splendid things with the Cathedral while I was out! :) Really nice work!! I'm sort of back now. Still a bit groggy, but the sailors cheered me up a lot. Thanks! Cheers, w.carter -Talk 21:52, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
I must also add a comment that I myself was given while I worked on John Bauer: Your language is so much better when you write with your own words than when you just translate someone else's text. When one translates, one tends to be bogged down by the original text, and Swedish texts are so full of useless, extra words and silly expressions. Ever since I got that advise, I always try to read the sentence I'm supposed to translate and them "tell it" in my own words. It sounds much better that way, but it took me a while to realize that. Best, w.carter -Talk 22:02, 11 November 2014 (UTC)

I just remembered that some time ago I promised you some more scripts. This time it is that very effective one that help you correct all the small things to Wiki- standard. As you recall it should be handled with care, since it may (as you have seen) also correct things like links that should not be corrected. Like I did in this diff and the next. You can read more about the script here. If you copy the code below to your /commons.js page below the previous lines you will get a new small "brush" or "mop" up in the left corner of the toolbar in the editing area. I can see mine right between the B I and the small pencil and the link-icon. If you open a section, or an article in the editing area and click on the brush the script will instantly make the correction on all of the text open in the area. It happens faster than a blink! I usually scroll so that I have some section of the text that I know is formatted "wrong" like ==Heading== and use that as an indicator that it has worked by turning to == Heading ==. And after that I of course check all the links. That is usually easier after a save so that you get all the corrections in a "diff". All of this sounds much more complicated than it is. It took me just two tries to get it right and understand it the first time I used it. The best way is to install the script and then try it in the sandbox or at some small article you have created yourself and know how to fix if anything should happen.
mw.loader.load( '//de.wikipedia.org/?title=Benutzer:TMg/autoFormatter.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript' );
You seem to handle the new script quite brilliantly. Not so dangerous as you thought? :) Here are two more. The first one makes red comments and markings if there are any mistakes made in the Harv refs on a page. When you have installed it, you can look at these pages to see what it looks like: East India Company & Ice hockey. Look at the Reference and Bibliography sections. You will soon find many other articles with these problems... :-/ Code:
importScript('User:Ucucha/HarvErrors.js');
The next script has nothing to do with editing, it has more to do with seeing who is who. It simply creates a little blue or cerise "aura" (depending on your browser) around the signatures of all users who are admins. It is quite useful since you instantly know who to look for if you need help or simply want to know who someone is. A harmless but sometimes useful toy. :) Code:
importScript('User:Amalthea/userhighlighter.js');
I'll be back! - w.carter -Talk 23:13, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
Here's a little something for you when you get back. Sometimes working with your articles is an adventure. This last trip really was a journey up the river!! I have been to places where no-one in their right mind would go. There is a reason that some of the Gotland churches have not been photographed before. ;) I have been waiting for such a long time to be able to bag the last pics now that the pesky leaves have fallen, but... Weeks of rain and no sunshine. And very soon the days will be too short to go and photograph the last six since they are far from where I live, and far between, making time a factor. So despite rain and bad light I made the trip today. I have to apologize for the bleak quality of the pics, but at least they are better than nothing. There are not many versions to choose from (I will upload some later), I was lucky to get one acceptable at each location due to the rain, cold and lack of light. (whine, whine, whine) I have taken the liberty of uploading those at the Churches on Gotland. See ya' later, w.carter -Talk 20:36, 20 November 2014 (UTC)

The best way is to install the script and then try it in the sandbox or at some small article you have created yourself and know how to fix if anything should happen.
mw.loader.load( '//de.wikipedia.org/?title=Benutzer:TMg/autoFormatter.js&action=raw&ctype=text/javascript' );
:-/ Code:
importScript('User:Ucucha/HarvErrors.js');
:) Code:
importScript('User:Amalthea/userhighlighter.js');

"Good Morning" Yakikaki:
Thanks for all of your contributions to improve Wikipedia!
13 December is the day when Swedes perplex the rest of the world by showing up way too early in the morning dressed in white tunics, candles in their hair, singing and bringing saffron buns and breakfast in bed to nice people. Hope you have a bright day!

Hello Yaki, it's been a while. Just wanted you to know that I haven't forgotten the Ryska kyrkan, it's just that my life outside the WP has/is a bit of a busy mess right now, the only free time I have is at nights. I will get the pictures as soon as the dust settles. Nice work on the Scania articles! :) Can't help you there though, me and Scania have never seen eye to eye for a number of reasons. And congrats on your pics barnstar, you so deserve it! Best, w.carter -Talk 12:27, 31 January 2015 (UTC)
Hello you two! Sorry, I'm just very busy these days! It warms my heart that you sent me a thought :) I hope to be back in earnest as soon as possible. Carter, I haven't forgotten my part of the bargain either! I still have a few Gotland churches to do, and I will do them - perhaps I will even have time this weekend for one or two. The book is on the desk, opened at Silte Church, in any case. :) PS. The Swedish part of my family all come from Scania! :D They may seem a bit rough around the edges, but I hope you will one day meet a pleasant Scanian to give you a new perspective :) Ciao for now, friends! Hi Yaki! Since I have dabbled in a few GAs since last, I was thinking about maybe nominate the Visby city wall for it. I think it has a shot since it is one of the most complete descriptions of the wall that I've seen. What do you think? On another note, I was reminded of you when I was in the Gotlandic section of the library the other day. I found an entire bookcase with books on Gotland churches! Each church had it's own thick book. Whish I could have sent you all of them. :) Best w.carter -Talk 16:59, 15 February 2015 (UTC)
