Hi WWB. Got your message on my talk page. I need a few days to consider and research the idea. I know there are other List articles but I'm not certain it would be appropriate for this situation. So I will get back to you with my thoughts as soon as I can. Best. Coaster92 ( talk) 22:30, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
Hi again, WWB. I looked over relevant policies I found. From what I can tell, and I am not an expert, a list could be appropriate in this case. Here are some policy sections that seem to apply here:
Being articles, stand-alone lists are subject to Wikipedia's content policies, such as verifiability, no original research, neutral point of view, and what Wikipedia is not, as well as notability guidelines. Selection criteria See also: Notability for lists of people
Lists of people A person may be included in a list of people if all the following requirements are met: ▪ The person meets the Wikipedia notability requirement. An exception to this requirement may be made if the person is famous for a specific event, the notability requirement need not be met. If a person in a list does not have an article in Wikipedia about them, a citation (or link to another article) must be provided to establish their membership in the list's group and to establish their notability on either BLP1E or BIO1E. ▪ The person's membership in the list's group is established by reliable sources.
See also: Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists#Lists of people Many articles contain (or stand alone as) lists of people. Inclusion within stand-alone lists should be determined by the notability criteria above. Inclusion in lists contained within articles should be determined by WP:Source list, in that the entries must have the same importance to the subject as would be required for the entry to be included in the text of the article according to Wikipedia policies and guidelines (including WP:Trivia sections). Furthermore, every entry in any such list requires a reliable source attesting to the fact that the named person is a member of the listed group.
People can and do receive awards and/or honors throughout their lives. In general (though there are a few exceptions to this), recipients of an award should be grouped in a list rather than a category.
Lists, whether they are embedded lists or stand-alone lists, are encyclopedic content as are paragraphs and articles, and they are equally subject to Wikipedia's content policies such as Verifiability, No original research, Neutral point of view, and others. Coaster92 ( talk) 04:08, 5 March 2012 (UTC)
WWB, got your message. I've been off for a couple of days. I have put this message on the article talk page as well. I agree the term "sold" could have created confusion so I substituted "provided" for "sold" as suggested. Regarding the sentence about Catherine Reynolds Foundation donating $100 million, this seems to be off topic to me. It does not seem to be needed to keep the article clear and informative. Do you see my point? I will have a close look at the List article to see about posting it. Coaster92 ( talk) 21:29, 11 March 2012 (UTC)
WWB, will let you know about the list article soon. I have not forgotten. I have not seen any other comments on the article talk page about the Foundation donations sentence. If you decide not to pursue it, post a comment and I will remove the edit request tag or I guess you can. Coaster92 ( talk) 03:43, 13 March 2012 (UTC)
OK, WWB. Looks like I could work on posting the List article in a day or two. Coaster92 ( talk) 16:24, 14 March 2012 (UTC)
I would like to accomplish the post as easily as possible. I copied and pasted the "edit" version of the article to MS Word, to make a couple grammar-type edits before transferring to Wiki. I am not certain all the formatting is going to come through. Any suggestions about how to do this? Thanks. Coaster92 ( talk) 22:22, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
OK, WWB, I went ahead and posted the article. Let me know if it looks OK. I made only minor changes, adding an "s" to make "sports", things like that. You know, I don't know I have a message when you post here on your talk page. I have been checking your talk page because we were discussing this project but might not always remember to. Will post a response to your comment on the AoA talk page. Coaster92 ( talk) 22:24, 16 March 2012 (UTC)

I don't think I've finished so you might look at some of the changes I've made and take a critical look at the other articles. Hey WWBToo. I met a lawyer at Wikimania who said he was involved in reviewing your C-SPAN article. He said he did some work on it where he felt there were errors, and was asked to make the edits on your behalf, but declined to do so. We never swapped usernames and I was wondering if you knew who it was. I was poking around the C-SPAN article, but didn't find anyone that seemed likely. User:King4057 17:08, 28 August 2012 (UTC)
I don't like OrangeMike. He makes me grovel. And cry. And he ignores my repeated requests, and then declines my requests to remove the evidence of my public grovelling. It is humiliating. That is why I don't like him.
I wish Wikipedia had more nice friendly people. There ARE nice friendly good people on Wikipedia e.g. all the chemical engineers are bright and wonderful. But none of the good or helpful people seem to get barn stars and all the lame stupid articles are praised and some of those type of contributors have retinues of sycophants. I don't understand.
I'm sorry, you don't know me. I was trying to clean up the grossly inadequate and short Vanguard Group article, noticed a sensible edit by SusanLensch or someone like that on the talk page, then looked at her talk page, and saw that she had tons of thanks and barn stars and groveling sycophantish stuff. I thought, okay, maybe she's awesome, then I noticed that someone you knew of, TagShimon or Tag Simon, I forgot his exact user name (I'm sorry), he pointed out how she edited something and broke all sorts of links because of shoddy sloppy disambiguation and page moves, and then just told him to clean up the mess she left, which seemed very rude. He was not happy, and he got chastised for that, and that was how I ended up on his talk page. That was where I saw your comment, thanking him for his help with an article in Dec 2011, about which the odious OrangeMike took an adversarial attitude. So here I am! Don't be irritated with me. I'm sorry. I should go now. --

Hello, I am the author of the last two edits, both reverted, on the Short (finance) page. I am also the author of most of the French version. Actually, I had written both versions at the same time. I am sad to see that, even though the talk pages of the article are full of people lamenting about how this article is ill-structured and ill-balanced, any attempt, not only by myself, to improve it inexorably fails. I read your comment on Specifico’s talk page : “long, thinly sourced, arguably unencyclopedic discussion of the pros and cons of restricting short-selling. Perhaps unsurprisingly, it is also heavily weighted toward the EU and France in particular”. Well, thanks for the compliment! Since you look keen to know who was the editor (more than whether his edit was an improvement or not), here is who I am : [1]. Regards. Bmathis ( talk) 18:14, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

This is a note to let the main editors of Cracker Barrel know that the article will be appearing as today's featured article on January 11, 2013. You can view the TFA blurb at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/January 11, 2013. If you prefer that the article appear as TFA on a different date, or not at all, please ask featured article director Raul654 ( talk · contribs) or his delegates Dabomb87 ( talk · contribs), Gimmetoo ( talk · contribs), and Bencherlite ( talk · contribs), or start a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Today's featured article/requests. If the previous blurb needs tweaking, you can change it—following the instructions at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/instructions. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page. The blurb as it stands now is below:
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. is an American chain of combined restaurant and gift stores with a Southern country theme. The company was founded by Dan Evins in 1969; its first store was in Lebanon, Tennessee, which remains the company headquarters. As of 2012, the chain operates 620 stores in 42 states. Its menu is based on traditional Southern cuisine, with appearance and decor designed to resemble an old-fashioned general store. Cracker Barrel is known for its partnerships with country music artists, and has received attention for its charitable activities, such as its assistance of victims of Hurricane Katrina and injured war veterans. During the 1990s, the company was the subject of controversy for its official stance against gay and lesbian employees and for discriminatory practices against African American and female employees. Following an agreement with the US Department of Justice and the implementation of non-discrimination policies, the company has focused on improving minority representation and civic involvement. Company shareholders added sexual orientation to the company's non-discrimination policy in 2002. ( Full article...)

I'm out on a trip, but I'll get to you about the hat once I'm home later this week. Thanks so much for the barnstar though! It's quite appreciated.-- Yaksar (let's chat) 22:06, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
I haven't ever added a hatnote. I checked the policy/protocol but am not 100 percent on how to do it. Walk me through it and I will. Coaster92 ( talk) 04:26, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

So it looks like the Cracker Barrel peer review was closed without any further people commenting. Oh well. I guess we can just take that as something of an affirmation that we've got most of the info covered already (though FAC reviewers are still sure to surprise us, I bet on it). I'm a little busy tonight and tomorrow, but I was thinking about maybe starting the FAC Wednesday evening or sometime during Thursday, if you're up for it. Probably gonna be a bumpy ride, but i'm sure the two of us can handle it. Silver seren C 02:41, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

While working on one of your new articles,i decided to take a look at some previous ones also and took the opportunity to copyedit for conciseness . I don't think I've finished so you might look at some of the changes I've made and take a critical look at the other articles. One of the problems I have not yet dealt with is the rather long introductions that include what I think is too much of the detail from the article itself. DGG ( talk ) 23:24, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

I've thought of an idea that might break our current logjam with paid editing. I'd love your sincere feedback and opinion.
Feel free to circulate this to anyone you think should know about it, but please recognize that it hasn't agreed upon by either PR organizations or WikiProjects or the wider community. It's also just a draft, so any/many changes can still be made. Thanks and cheers, Ocaasi EdwardsBot ( talk) 15:02, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Mindjet color logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Hi WWB Too, I'm leaving you a note to inform you I've put the Cracker Barrel article up for nomination to appear as a Today's Featured Article on the main page in the near future. If you have any concerns, feel free to address them on my talk page, or on the request page. Thanks-- Chimino ( talk) 06:50, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
