I found your information on Brahes very useful. Could you add the information on the history of the Brahe family to Brahe? Also, could you add references? All of that information would help clarify why all the Brahes should be listed and discussed together. Thank you, Dr. Submillimeter 15:11, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi how long is the discussion going on for Category:Argentine film stubs? We now have almost 140 articles - I corrected many of the earlier tags and have been adding new stubs to write into full articles later. The guy who proposed it said 43 articles we now almost have 143!!! Ernst Stavro Blofeld 17:52, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Yes I think so. I have been taking on a mammoth task of filtering lists of feature films to add to wikipedia and expand later into full articles. Every page shows up like 15 missing actors, direcotrs, cinema characters!! -the notable ones of these will all be started. I have been compiling the List of Argentine films is going really well. Category:Argentine films only had about 6 articles 6 weeks ago!! And I have done 95% of existing Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) material too!!! If I can get them off to a good start it sets a foundation then for proper expansion Ernst Stavro Blofeld 18:12, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
You see List of Argentine films and the rest of the country lists are intended to be part of the Cinema of pages and document the entire cinema of every country by decade and year. Eventually I will get around to filling in all the details, See the navigation box on the right hand side takes you through the decades. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 18:18, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Yes I wrote some of them myself and those that are very similar to the site I will have to change slightly but they are telling a story of facts and owning all of them myself if you blind folded me not to see that site and I wrote the articles they would look very similar. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 20:30, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
I'll work on it. I have a welath of my own details to add anyway and I plan a box for the chracters and actors of eack episode. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 20:31, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Yes I have to sort out the final episodes and restructure 1-10 which I forgot to correct. Trust me on this one I am quite capable see the main Randall page I have developed it myself analysing the series overall. Ernst Stavro Blofeld 20:34, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi Valentinian
I agree with your dates. In addition to the two dates: The Valgmandsvalg was 24 September, followed by the actual election (valg af valgmandsvalgte) on 1 October, and by a temporary clause in the constitution the 19th of the 19 Landstingsvalgte was elected by those of candidates elected on 1 October, who had residence in South Jutland. The Faroese candidate (the seventh constituency) was elected by the Løgting, and apparently on another day than the rest of the elections.
The article on the Landsting (Denmark) really needs an explanation of the election systems, though. I have added that to my todo-list. Hemmingsen 06:38, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
Sigh. Pro-Turk, huh? Don't tell my mate Kyp - he wouldn't be impressed (erm, "Kyp" is short for Kypros Kypri, BTW - guess what he thinks of TRNC!) Grutness... wha? 05:30, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
Dear Valentinian, I am very sorry if I gave you to understand that you are a pro-Turk. I have seen past editings and referings to other discussions and I am sure you are not. You helped me several times and I appreciate that. It was my mistake to talk for "pro-turks" rather than "pro-turk". However I disagree, whatever you will tell me about user:Grutness, which actually I was refering to him as pro-turk and I am insisting of that. If he is not, surely his is Anti-Cypriot. Many of his referings can be considered like that. I don't want to write why I believe that. It is my POV. But I am not at all considering you Pro-Turk rather than friend of Cyprus.
I understand the problem which is created with the people who support the pseudostate, however think also and the other side POV. It is a lot disturbing us the Cypriot to not have our own flag. I saw these days the stub of other countries with their own flag and our to be absent and was hurting a lot. Our problem is the disapperance of our flag, not what image there will be. Anyway I know we will not solve that problem by discussing the two of us rather than in Template talk:Cyprus-stub. By the way I want to be honest with you, I am the anonymous who had edit war with you one year ago about Cyprus stub image. I did have user name that time.
Saguamundi? He continues to behave like that. He also put Turkish Cypriots under category:Turkish X. Input of Cypriot politicians as Asian can not be because they are political articles and Cyprus politically belongs absolutelly in Europe. Regards KRBN 00:46, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
I didn't say anything in Greek about you. Also every country has its own flag in this wikipedia. So as a Cypriot I am getting disturbed to see the flag of other countries and ours not. Since those templates are causing problems, they must not be included but it is general that every country uses its own flag. I think the flag must not be a reason to create such stubs. Also other countries with disputed territories use their flag. Even if TRNC-stub would have been acceptable, it has less than 60 stub to be accepted and also it was rejected. If Cyprus flag is going to be removed then Turkish flag must be the same because otherwise it would be unfair. KRBN 00:22, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Im puzzled by the explanation you provide for the statement that the Normans conquered "Most of England" rather than its entirity: "Wessex was never conquered by the Vikings." I dont see the relevance of that. The Normans conquered the Kingdom of England in its entirity, not partially, and the statement that they conquered only most of it is incorrect. siarach 22:52, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Megali idea.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. On the WikiProject Countries talk page, you had either explictly declared a general interest in the project, or had participated at a discussion that appears related to
Location Maps for European countries.
New maps had been created by David Liuzzo, and are available for the countries of the European continent, and for countries of the European Union exist in two versions. From
November 16,
2006 till
January 31,
2007, a poll had tried to find a consensus for usage of 'old' or of which and where 'new' version maps. At its closing, 25 people had spoken in favor of either of the two presented usages of new versions but neither version had reached a consensus (12 and 13), and 18 had preferred old maps.
As this outcome cannot justify reverting of new maps that had become used for some countries, seconds before
February 5,
2007 a survey started that will be closed at
February 20,
2007 23:59:59. It should establish whether the new style maps may be applied as soon as some might become available for countries outside the European continent (or such to depend on future discussions), and also which new version should be applied for which countries.
Please note that since
January 1,
2007 all new maps became updated by David Liuzzo (including a world locator, enlarged cut-out for small countries) and as of
February 4,
2007 the restricted licence that had jeopardized their availability on Wikimedia Commons, became more free. The subsections on the talk page that had shown David Liuzzo's original maps, now show his most recent design.
Please read the
discussion (also in other sections
α,
β,
γ,
δ,
ε,
ζ,
η,
θ) and in particular the arguments offered by the forementioned poll, while realizing some comments to have been made prior to updating the maps, and all prior to modifying the licences, before carefully reading the
presentation of the currently open survey. You are invited to only then finally make up your mind and vote for only one option.
There mustnot be 'oppose' votes; if none of the options would be appreciated, you could vote for the option you might with some effort find least difficult to live with - rather like elections only allowing to vote for one of several candidates. Obviously, you are most welcome to leave a brief argumentation with your vote. Kind regards. —

Sure he was part of the SS, but when you read something about those volunteers you see, that they said they were fighting for Europe and not for Germany. Cf. Léon Degrelle. What about the Italian SS? What about RONA? They surely thought that they were fighting for their own countries. I'm reverting your edit to the article on Christian X of Denmark. The book mentioned only contains a black-and-white version and we need a source for the coloured version. I've seen this version before ages ago, but it is not very common and I can't remember the exact book. The image looks very much like a contemporary colourization. Unless we have the name of the person who made the coloured version, we can't tell for sure if this person still has any rights to it, but such works normally have a copyright term of author's life + 70 years. Happy editing. Valentinian T / C 15:25, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed you placed Howie Rich in "New York Politicians." Howie Rich's politics are generally national in scope, and as far as I know he has no particular political ties to NY (though he lives there.) His political organizations are based in places like Illinois and Virginia. Is there perhaps a better stub? Hello Valentinian. I use IE 6 and the map shows up just fine in the center but in Opera it is left-alligned. Thanks for pointing that out. Please, contact User:Caroig who manages that infobox. He is waiting for any bug reports. - Darwinek 22:10, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Well, I can't write I see because I don't see ;-) I only have IE-that-comes-withXP-SP2 on my desktop and that one shows it correctly. There are two issues:
The left alignement. That is a feature. The map here must be left aligned as it's a part of the locator dot system in the Geoboxes. If you look at e.g. Pilsen you'll see a locator dot placed automatically in the map based on the coordinates. The system calculates the relative position of the dot from the top left corner of the map and so it can't be floating. That is, however easily fixed by having the map the same width as the Geobox, preferably by not defining the map width (the system will automacally adjust the map to fit within the box).
As of the map shifted right. That's possible, it's the third report of this happening. All from IE7. I'll have to install IE7 on my laptop where it won't hopefully do much harm. The trouble here is IE6 is extremely buggy concerning diplaying HTML+CSS and every web page, including Wikipedia, constains quite a few fixes in CSS and Javascript to avoid these. Nonetheles, the combination of standard HTML+CSS + fixes for IE6 displayed in IE7 will obviously lead to even more display bugs.
So I'll have to put in even more fixes to prevent/circumvent these issues. But not today, it's about time to call it the night. Thanks for informing me. – Caroig 22:44, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Valentinian - I wanted to drop by and explain the placement of the saints portal tag on the NFS Grundtvig article. Grundtvig is commemorated on the calendars of American Lutheran churches. The Saints WikiProject has added such people to the project, reflecting the broader meaning of "saint" outside of Roman Catholicism -- especially since Protestant churches have no formal process of determining saints, yet still recognize certain individuals as examples of faithfulness. -- Pastordavid 02:04, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

I noted you put Danish property bubble for deletion. While I agree that references are missing and I plan to do those over the weekend, I'm concerned you state the reason for deletion as "Wikipedia is not a crystal ball". OECD and IMF as well as several high-profile economists have expressed concern the Danish property market might be in a bubble state. I think this concern is notable and should be in an article. Nowhere does the article says the market is in a bubble state. Actually I think it is quite balanced as it notes that no substantial price falls have yet materialized in official statistics. By your logic, you should also go and delete United States housing bubble as well as all the other articles discussing housing bubbles. Para82 21:02, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for your generosity! Another tweak I almost applied was to enlarge the title's font-size a little, as {{ Navbox generic}} titles are slightly smaller than {{ Navigation}} titles (see, for example, the "International membership" group of templates at the end of the Greenland article if you don't already know what I mean). However, a general debate as regards templates is being suggested here, so I'm waiting to see what happens there before suggesting (say) a tweak to the {{ Navbox generic}} code. Hi Jesper! I'm not sure if Eastern Rumelia ever had an official arms — after all, it existed for only seven years and the Ottoman Empire was not known for its heraldic tradition. The resemblance between the two arms (Zhefarovich's arms of "Romania" and the one in Pavlovich's lithography) only evidences that there was an established symbol of the region in Bulgarian usage, but whether it was based on any formal recognition I do not know, and I presume it wasn't, at least not the one of the Ottoman authorities. Note that the Ottoman Empire itself only had an official arms in 1882 (though not really heraldic), and Turkey doesn't have one to this day. Todor → Bozhinov 10:49, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for you cleanup at Norsemen, I removed the (obviously) misplaced Austrian flag myself, but I fully agree with you that Germany har no place under this heading either. Noticing what you did earlier today, I would like to suggest that you go back on your second thoughts.
Hi, I think you are confusing two things - genetics and political relations. Genetic studies indicate that Germans are most related to the Danes, Swedes, and Norwegians, moreso than to any other Europeans on mainland Europe. However, this is not true for all Germans. Germans more to the south (for example, Bavarians) are more closely related to the Austrians (who are ethnically 'Germans', anyway). Even still, these Germans are very closely related to the Scandinavians, as proven by genetic studies. Germany not being a "Nordic country" by political affiliation or geographical location has no bearing on the issue. In fact, if Germany were to show interest in joining such an affiliation, Scandinavia would be powerless against her (Germany). Germany can freely impose her will on Scandinavia if it wishes so (you know this and I know this). Germany, however, doesn't care. This doesn't change genetics though.

Hi! Happy spring. IIRC, you're also good with French among your other talents. So can you please see the French wikipedia and see if there is an actual link to target for
Syndicat des Constructeurs d'Appareils Radiorécepteurs et Téléviseurs, and if so, at least fix up that softredirect.
This name/term originates in the tech article:
SCART, and I probably should have just removed the brackets around the redlink. However, a prior version had that form as I saw running down who had placed an expert tag on the article when... but while I can live with a softredirect in principle, I have no idea whether the link is falling victim to a capitalization or punctuation variation or such. If you think it better, consider this a a db-author tagging and delete it at need. Thanks //

Regarding the errors you pointed out: I corrected the spelling of the 2 cities (sorry- but i don't know how to get this letter Ø in CS2 Suite) and when I looked at the grphic i saw, that i still had the German abbreviations. I chnged hat now to the correct NATO unit abbreviations: Rgt. Bn. and Coy. Thanks for pointing out the errors and helping me improving the graphic. If there is another error- please tell me and I will correct it too :-) noclador 17:25, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
I've changed the Estonian Army Graphic. Thanks for your help. Regarding the Swedish/Norwegian/Finish Armies: this will take some time, as their structure is extremly confusing. All diffrent kinds of unit types exist (active, reserve, training, militia, and so on- i.e. example Finlands 1st Brigade consits of 4 battalions that have togehter 12 companies, but each company is of a diffrent kind and has diffrent activation status...) so i will do now the UK and Spain first. But when the time comes- i will return and ask for your help. noclador 23:04, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi Valentinian Thanks for your support regarding the rather threatening Gon4z. In my eyes, this is wikipedias greatest problem: users that refuse to accept edits with the argument, that once they had so much work. I did now reedit the articles Albanian Land Forces Command & Military of Albania and hope that the compromise I choose between Gon4z outdated information and the new one I inserted will be accepted by Gon4z. This refusal to update articles is so much worse in the German Wikipedia: i.e. APP-6a: when trying to update & expand the German version I was rebuffed with the argument: "Dafür habe ich mir damals nicht die Mühe gemacht"... And currently I'm trying to fend off a user, who wants to replace the current German Army structure graphic with this: Organigramm as he says his version is "in gänze besser"... Therefore I'm very grateful for any help and support in dealing with these annoying users. Thanks again for your help noclador 10:35, 2 May 2007 (UTC)

I found your information on Brahes very useful. Could you add the information on the history of the Brahe family to Brahe? Also, could you add references?

The sentence in question is this: "Vi vil vende tilbage til dig i løbet af en uges tid". I know roughly what it says, but just to be sure. :) -- MoRsE 15:49, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi Qxz
I notice that you've begun mass protecting a large number of stub templates. For your information, we have around 3,000 of these. Have you consulted WP:WSS at all before beginning this? Stub templates are virtually never vandalised so any such action should at least be debated with WP:WSS first. Simply protecting a large number of stub templates seems rather over the top to me. Cheers. Valentinian T / C 08:52, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
So far, I have found the following fully protected stub templates. There are probably more:

{{tl|Finland-bio-stub}}

You refer to the difference between term and name. But German readers ought to get an idea, that "-en" is not as integral as in "Bremen". Ulamm -- 217.253.74.208 12:44, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi Valentinian,
Thanks for your generosity! Thanks again, David ( talk) 20:39, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi!! Please can you help fill in the List of Danish films I am afraid it will be up for afd. I and a few other users are trying to fill the lists by country in. If you can add the details on the films already on wikipedia in year order from Category:Danish films and any others you know of from notable directors etc that would be a great help for WP Film sand Denmark!.

You should not remove the noinclude clauses in the stub templates. It makes the template interwikis appear in the articles where the template appears.

Thanks //

Do I correctly recall you being part of the stub-sorting project? Need a small assist with this where I seem to have two (down the bottom) redlinks sect stubs from my best guesses. If this is outside your normal patrols, just drop me a note and I'll see what I can do to unconfuse myself about your mistaken identity! Thanks either way and Happy spring!

Hi! Could you take a look at User_talk:Theeuro#The_euro_inside_part_3.1?
