Hi. Your change was reverted by someone else, but I wanted to point out the flaw in your reasoning. , it's equal to ± - you can't assume you take the positive root, as there won't even be one if . - mattbuck ( Talk) 02:27, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
Since you have edited the article or its talk page, I'd like to let you know that the article English conjugation tables has been nominated for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/English conjugation tables. Duoduoduo ( talk) 17:26, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited English in computing, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Cartridge and Interface. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Please immediately stop moving pages - your mass moves require consensus but they also violate WP:MOS - in most cases dismabiguators are not capitalized. CUPIDICAE💕 12:58, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
What is "correct" in a language is determined by how the language is actually used and understood, not by your or my or someone else's opinion of how is should be used on the basis of some criterion such as etymology. However words may have been used in classical Latin, "Quaternary" is in much more normal English use for a fourth degree than "Quartary". JBW ( talk) 16:21, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Since posting the above message I have seen another, and far larger-scale, attempt to impose your own view of how English "should" be used. Treating "sinologist" as a proper noun is not supported by normal English usage, nor by Wikipedia's manual of style, nor by logic, since the word is not a name or title. JBW:
By logic, "sinology" should be the same case as "Egyptology" or "Japanology". Please compare
this with
that. The numbers of terms in each case are similar, but most of the lower case terms are derived from "sinus", not "China". Some of the upper case ones also have alternative lower case forms listed (such as "
sinocentrism"), but many do not ("
sinophilic").
As a prescriptivist, I thought Wikipedia would use its position to correct such mistakes. But OK, I will no longer fix bugs that became features, if it is frowned upon. Not worth to waste my time on. Trang Oul ( talk) 13:44, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
