Come on guys, you've evidently worked well with each other in the past; don't let a simple misunderstanding cause you to work against each other. Collaboration is the name of the game; and while we may not always agree with points brought up by other editors, they are still worth taking under consideration.
Now to get to my point of business, I was browsing this talk page after posting on the "Rehab" FAC. To answer a few questions/points raised at the top of this section, the use of songs in television programs or commercials can definitely be integrated into an article; it all depends on how you do it. I would argue that including such information, an example of the song's legacy, is no different than reporting on multiple cover versions of the song. Such use helps to establish the song's notability because popular culture is such a massive phenomenom and it reaches millions of people. Because of this, putting that information into the Legacy section of an article (or if the article does not have one, under Critical reception) shows it's long-term durability with the public. " City of Blinding Lights" is the best example I can think of. If it is used in a program or commercial just prior to or at the time of release, putting that information in the Promotion section is fantastic (such as the iPod commercial for " Vertigo". To source it... just use the program itself! There is no better way to say that X song appeared in Y episode than to use the episode as the citation. {{ cite video}} works wonders for that. There is no shame in integrating information on usage in popular culture into an article; it just depends on how you do it.
Now, to go along with your delicious trout dinner, why not have a yummy side dish?
Take care. Melicans ( talk, contributions) 03:14, 15 December 2011 (UTC)

you just crossed the 3 revert rule? And your case of WP:OWN is overwhelming. Calvin • Watch n' Learn 14:36, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
I was helping you on Shut Up and Drive because you had missed vital things and made several mistakes as you rush edited it for GAN. And you specifically told me not to give you "tips", even though you made them anyway, which shows I was right. Wikipedia is supposed to be collaborative. And what do you mean by "detracting"??? Calvin • Watch n' Learn 14:59, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
What???? I said about the 5th revert because you have now made 2 more than you are supposed to, which means you could be blocked for it, that is what the warning says below. And yes, well done for making Rehab an FA, even though I don't think it is FA worthy at all. If Rehab can pass, then there is no reason why S&M can't. So clearly, I am not two-faced. Calvin • Watch n' Learn 15:27, 26 December 2011 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Rehab (Rihanna song) shows that you are in danger of breaking the three-revert rule, or that you may have already broken it. An editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Breaking the three-revert rule often leads to a block.
If you wish to avoid being blocked, instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to discuss the changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. You may still be blocked for edit warring even if you do not exceed the technical limit of the three-revert rule if your behavior indicates that you intend to continue to revert repeatedly. Sorry Tomica, but both of you are indeed beyond the limit, please cease editing on the article altogether. This is for your own good only. Don't be baited by such things. — Legolas (talk2me) 14:45, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to the 2012 WikiCup! The competition officially begins at the start of 2012 (UTC) after which time you may begin to claim points. Your submission page, where you must note any content for which you wish to claim points, can be found here, and formatting instructions can be found in hidden comments on the page. A bot will then update the main table, which can be seen on the WikiCup page. The full rules for what will and will not be awarded points can be found at Wikipedia:WikiCup/Scoring. There's also a section on that page listing the changes that have been made to the rules this year, so that experienced participants can get up-to-date in a few seconds. One point of which we must remind everyone; you may only claim points for content upon which you have done significant work, and which you have nominated, in 2012. For instance, articles written or good article reviews started in 2011 are not eligible for points.
This round will last until late February, and signups will remain open until the middle of February. If you know of anyone who may like to take part, please let them know about the comeptition; the more the merrier! At the end of this round, the top 64 scorers will progress to the next round, where their scores will reset, and they will be split into pools. Note that, by default, you have been added to our newsletter list; we will be in contact at the end of every month with news. You're welcome to remove yourself from this list if you do not wish to hear from us. Conversely, those interested in following the competition are more than welcome to add themselves to the list. Please direct any questions towards the judges, or on the WikiCup talk page. Good luck! J Milburn ( talk) and The ed17 ( talk) 17:50, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

Wishing you nothing but the best in 2012. Happy new year and God bless you! Ben• TalkThatTalk2me 01:36, 1 January 2012 (UTC) |
Yeah I knew that was the reason why. To be honest, I don't know what happened. How did this even start? I think you took offence to me saying I don't want to collaborate on everything. And c'mon now Tomica, you think I thought every edit you made was "non-worthy"? You need a reality check on that one if you do. And what articles have I done which you "apparently said" you was going to do? Because I can't think of any. Calvin • Watch n' Learn 16:14, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
Okay. Will talk to you in the new year. Hopefully things will change. My opinions of things that have happened will stay in 2011. Calvin • Watch n' Learn 17:08, 31 December 2011 (UTC)

On 5 January 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Unfaithful (song), which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that originally, " Unfaithful" was a dark and moody track, inspired from the works of American rock band Evanescence? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Unfaithful (song). You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Hi. When you recently edited List of Rihanna concert tours, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Capital FM ( check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
