Much appreciated. I was inspired when I visited Pair non Pair a couple of weekends ago with my brother and his family (an American reunion in France!) and found the navbox on the French wikipedia. I was lucky to get some great technical help. But I have to take issue with you - it's all archaeology. Sure, some of the writers of the academic papers are in odd disciplines such as archaezoology, and some of the contributors may be in related sciences, but it's all archaeology. Some is paleontology as well of course and some of the articles clearly are collaborations between archaeologists and paleontologists, but also some of the archaeologists are writing about paleontology related subjects. Archaeologists draw on a wide range of disciplines for their studies, something that makes it such a fascinating subject. Doug Weller talk 11:28, 3 August 2016 (UTC)

Hi Tisquesusa. Thanks for your edits to Timeline of Bogotá. On the matter of whether or not to adjust image sizes, Wikipedia:Picture tutorial recommends: "In general, do not define the size of an image unless there is a good reason to do so: some users have small screens or need to configure their systems to display large text; "forced" large thumbnails can leave little width for text, making reading difficult. In addition, forcing a "larger" image size at say 260px will actually make it smaller for those with a larger size set as preference." -- M2545 ( talk) 11:30, 13 September 2016 (UTC)

Hello Tisquesusa, hope you're keeping well. I know they're not Muisca sites, but I wanted to ask if you could please run a quick eye over San Agustín Archaeological Park and Valley of the Statues (both are very short articles so it won't take more than a couple of minutes) and decide whether they are in fact talking about the same place, as I have suggested in the merger proposal on the talk page? If there is agreement that they are the same location and it would be best to merge them, we can make a start on improving these badly written and badly sourced articles on unquestionably one of Colombia's most important archaeological sites – there's no point in working to improve both if they can be done under the same merged article. Dear Tisquesusa, I just read your Aguazuque article, and was very impressed. You did an excellent job! I was very interested to read all this new info. I just made some minor changes here and there, mostly to clarify the style.
I was busy with some other work and research recently, such as the Japanese Jomon. And now, I'd like to get back more to S America.
Just one question. This sentence in the article was unclear, so I changed it to,
Is this correct now?
Keep up the good work! Eio-cos ( talk) 22:13, 1 October 2016 (UTC)
On the caries; no, it's the other way around; the caries is unique for Aguazuque, so different from the other contemporaneous sites where no evidence for caries was found, in Aguazuque it was. So I'll rephrase that to reflect the difference.
The clarification needed you added on the fireplaces; what wasn't clear? That the fireplaces were found surrounding the living spaces or that evidence was found within them? I'll check the source again and also improve based on your question for clarification if you can elaborate, please.
Thanks again and good luck with the Japanese archaeology, anytime welcome back to South America. Have a good day, cheers, Tisquesusa ( talk) 14:26, 3 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi, Tisquesusa! Sorry for late reply - have been quite busy recently. Muisca art is a very informative article. I've already tried to polish up the style a bit, and will do some more later. You must have invested a lot of your time in it. I’m also planning to add some stuff about early metallurgy because new info is coming out now.
Yes, the "Good Article" category is somewhat arbitrary, like so many other things in Wikipedia :) But we have to work with what we have. Myself, I’m always interested in learning new things, and wiki is perfect for that. I like to ‘excavate’ Wikipedia, because there’s always something more hiding in this labyrinth, if you just know where & how to look.
Sometimes, the "Good Article" tag was given years ago, when the standards may have been different, and it just remains. Norte Chico was the first big early archaeology breakthrough for Peru, but later a lot more has been found.
Yes, I usually don't translate 1-to-1, also because often the source text is not all that good. Just take what you can. I like interwiki because I do know quite a few languages. Very often you find in another language what you can’t find in English. S American archaeology is really burgeoning now, finally! All the best. Eio-cos ( talk) 17:42, 10 October 2016 (UTC)

Hello Tisquesusa. Speedy deletion work is important and I do appreciate the effort. I would just ask that you please review the criteria carefully because accuracy is also important. On that issue, I have declined your speedy deletion nomination of Nahuel Pennisi as an article that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the topic under CSD A7. That criterion did not apply because "not notable" is not a deletion criterion, nor is "personal page", but the closest criterion is A7. However, that criterion requires no credible claim of significance and no potential coverage in reliable sources that could show notability, both of which are present in this article. And so ends the first round of the competition, with 4 points required to qualify for round 2. It would have been 5 points, but when a late entrant was permitted to join the contest in February, a promise was made that his inclusion would not result in the exclusion of any other competitor. To achieve this, the six entrants that had the lowest positive score of 4 points have been added to the 64 people who otherwise would have qualified. As a result, some of the groups have nine contestants rather than eight. Our top four scorers in round 1 were:
The largest number of DYKs have been submitted by Vivvt and The C of E, who each claimed for seven, and MBlaze Lightning achieved eight articles at ITN. Carbrera and Peacemaker67 each claimed for five GAs and Krishna Chaitanya Velaga was well out in front for GARs, having reviewed 32. No featured pictures, featured topics or good topics yet, but we have achieved three featured articles and a splendid total of fifty good articles.
So, on to the second round. Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 1 but before the start of round 2 can be claimed in round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points equally.
If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is a good article candidate, a featured process, or anything else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, please do your bit to help keep down the review backlogs! Questions are welcome on Wikipedia talk:WikiCup, and the judges are reachable on their talk pages or by email. Good luck! For a fantastic contributor, particularly on Colombia articles. We're very lucky to have such a great editor! Keep it up! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:56, 9 February 2017 (UTC) |
Hi Tisquesusa. I came across some of your photos on the Marine Life talk page. That looks like a great diving trip and you snapped some nice photos. Just a quick message to say thanks for uploading to the Commons, we need all the good underwater shots we can get so keep it up. I will attempt to identify any I can should you upload more, though my coral knowledge is sadly limited. BW |→ Spaully ~talk~ 21:21, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Just a friendly heads up that capitalization doesn't affect Wikipedia's search, so you don't need to make redirects like Soacha river that just point to Soacha River. -- Fabrictramp | talk to me 22:53, 28 February 2017 (UTC)
Good luck! If you wish to start or stop receiving this newsletter, please feel free to add or remove yourself from Wikipedia:WikiCup/Newsletter/Send. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, Eastern Hills, Bogotá), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Dear Tisquesusa, thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia, especially your recent creation of Antonio de Lebrija, which is well cited . Keep up the good work! You are making a difference here! With regards, Anupam Talk 17:12, 11 March 2017 (UTC) |
Tisquesusa, I saw that you changed the final icon on the review page, but that doesn't actually close the review. The instructions on how to do that is at the instructions for finishing a GA review under Failing. If you'd prefer, I can do these steps for you this time; just let me know. Thanks. BlueMoonset ( talk) 03:46, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
So far, at least three editors have reverted your inclusion of class icons in the see also section of articles, namely, me, Plastikspork and Redrose64. Yet, you persist, reverting any edits that remove them. There is consensus to not include class icons in articles. Stop and gain consensus before adding them back. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Antonio de Nebrija, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Grammarian. Hi there. I noticed that you listed Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Eastern Hills, Bogotá/archive1 at the Wikicup reviews page: but the process for FAC is a little different than GAN, and requires the nominator to create the nomination page, and transclude it, which you have not done. There are instructions at WP:FAC. Vanamonde ( talk) 13:35, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
