Thank you for helping out with stopping the debate at Talk:FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman! I am creating the template Nofuture so that edtiors will know not to add Season 6 information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hidividedby5 ( talk • contribs) 13:29, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi. Care to review this? There are threads related to it on the article talk page, User talk:Viriditas, User talk:Maile66, and User talk:Wildhartlivie. Jack Merridew 18:07, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
Hello Thumperward, I just noticed you've been renaming the way images are included in Trans fat but I can't see any justification for that. Is this some new WP policy or something? Cheers, pgr94 ( talk) 10:56, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
The lead paragraph of this article describes the important elements to the article accurately and concisely. From a journalistic sense it hits each of the key notable points in the subsequent article; why he is known--guitarist, and the three famous bands he has been a guitarist for. Subsequently he appeared as a regular in a TV show. There is nothing else he has done on the same level of notoriety. The lead sentence of his "recent activity" even says: "Since leaving the Foo Fighters, Smear kept a fairly low profile." All of his other accomplishments, the details of each of his performing stints with those bands and the appearance in the TV show are covered in the subsequent article. There is no underlying scandal, no notorious incidents worthy of being included in the lead. Stretching the lead paragraph simply for length sake is improper and unsound. Placing a demanding tag on the article defaces its worth. Trackinfo ( talk) 15:06, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
I see that you disagree with WP:Similar treatment is okay . Note that the converse is very bad. A WP:Uneven and arbitrary treatment is OK is very bad. Thank you for not being savage and trying to attack the essay. The similar treatment essay was written in good faith and does make sense. It says to try to act fairly but does not measure every millimeter to require it. Suomi Finland 2009 ( talk) 19:54, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
Sorry. It was late, I was tired, and I'd already made 4-5 changes with a reference; I just forgot to hit Ctrl-V to put the reference in on that edit. Won't happen again. -- JonBroxton ( talk) 15:44, 25 June 2010 (UTC)
I was just going to ask a quick question about player Honours within their respective articles. If a player plays in earlier rounds of a tournament and does not play in the final then should that particular honour be listed if his / her team wins? It was just that in the article Martin Keown this exact case applies and I was going to remove the Cup winners cup in 1994 from his list but thought I had better check to get a second opinion in case a similar instance occurs.
It might be the case that Uefa gives the club a certain number of medals for players that played in the tournament but were not selected for the final, but in an encyclopedia sense I think that it should go by only the squad for the final? Monkeymanman ( talk) 16:33, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
I've mentioned the above wikiproject and template as well as a whole category of templates at:
which is a sort of workshop for an RfC (or multiple RfCs) concerning the whole issue of colour use, and wikiproject authority. I see you're most recent editor to the template (well, a move) and am letting you know; a few other interested parties, too. And, of course, you're involved in the filmography template, too. Cheers, Jack Merridew 22:42, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
p.s. The multi-image template seems to have sorted, although I never quite saw what the renewed-clipping issue was; too damn busy.
Hi, you added a tag to Fillion's article about the lead section. I'm having some trouble understanding when the lead section should be tagged. I've looked at the guidelines, and I can see that the size of the Fillion article doesn't correlate to the number of paragraphs in the lead. But there are many articles like that. I'm not sure what would be useful to add to the lead section. The only other alternative would be to decrease the body size, not something I relish doing because it means deleting other editors' work. Or, of course, to remove the tag, which would be my choice. :-) I'd like your thoughts. Thanks.-- Bbb23 ( talk) 17:18, 27 June 2010 (UTC)
Oh okay, I didn't know how to do that ( I actually didn't know until later there was an article on the 40k MMO, because it had no formal title yet.) Vechs ( talk) 17:46, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi Thumperward. You uploaded this file a few days ago, but something appears messed-up since it appears on pages with a "file not found" type symbol, which you have to click on to get to work. I don't know anything about the way files work on here or I'd go ahead and fix it myself. Them From Space 05:09, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
Would you be willing to try to fix the multiple image template at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (St. Marys, Ohio)? I added it before your recent edits to the template, and now I'm not sure how to get the text to display without making a line break after "standing". Nyttend ( talk) 12:02, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi Thumperward. I saw your tagging today for the Helen Bamber article. You have added that the tone is not appropriate. It says there is more info on the talk page, but there is nothing there that I can see. Could you explain what is off about the tone? Please feel free to change it and extend the lead. Look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes Spanglej ( talk) 20:57, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
Hi Thumperward, as I mentioned - The heading "Biography" is apt for the narrative description of her life - early years, college life, death. There is a section on Works including impact and critique of Plath's publications. If the photos are at automatic size then Hughes' head is larger than the Fitzroy Square house. It seems appropriate to re-size the images accordingly. Best wishes Spanglej ( talk) 22:47, 30 June 2010 (UTC)
The Template:GrandSlamTournamentsDisciplines does not meet consensus to the other slam articles with the terms to color bars and have the official web as part of the bar like the way you have it, so I will be reverting your edit till you can figure out how to do it the right way, not the wrong one! 69.137.121.17 ( talk) 15:17, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
You might note that at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to
Phil Spector, also introduced some extraneous text around some numerical characters. This may be due to a combination of your browser and
Skype trying to identify and highlight telephone numbers. Thank you.--

Some research should be done. HENNESSY is the correct, original spelling as in the Cognac company which this page links to!!
HENNESSEY is a later Anglicised version. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.84.185.74 ( talk) 13:54, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Hello there. Thank-you for cleaning up the Template:Infobox election. But when editing a template with wide usage, please make test edits to the sandbox. That way if there are any errors, they won't be seen on the many pages, and there aren't multiple edits in a row (I think I look like a genius when I make one massive rewrite). I also have a query, do you know why there is a problem when there is only one candidate? I am worried it may need a lengthy read through and/or massive rewrite, which I don't have the time for. Thanks again, 117Avenue ( talk) 06:00, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
...needs to be a link to the list of users banned by Jimbo or an essay. That's absolutely hilarious! N419 BH 14:12, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Chris, no violations of copyright whatsoever in the bio page you deleted / objected to. I take that very serioiusly too, being an author and seeing how my works have been "borrowed" over the years. But if postings about self are un-cool in Wikipedia, that's not a problem.
