To start running into you all over the place again. Good to see your words of wisdom around :) sonia♫ 04:55, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
Please don't arbitrarily change the behavior of widely-used templates, as you did to {{ at}} in having it automatically generate a signature, as this causes problems for everyone who is used to the old way it worked; see WP:VPT#AfD close script acting weird for example. I have reverted those edits. If you have done the same to any other templates, please go back and revert yourself.
FYI, when you updated the documentation you had the last case wrong. It should have been like this:
Usage | Result |
---|---|
{{subst:at}} '''result''' because of foo. | {{subst:Afd top}} ~~~~ result because of foo. (This is the traditional method.) |
See how the sig is completely out of place there? Anomie ⚔ 10:52, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
I've reverted your change to Template:Prod blp, it seemed to be producing garbage code. Everard Proudfoot ( talk) 02:15, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

{{service awards|year=[year]|month=[month]|day=[day]|edits=[edits]}}

I've just turned down several week-old PER requests you've made for protected templates. I'm not a "templatey" admin, so I'd prefer to see evidence of sandbox testing to ensure they work before making changes, particularly if the change is merely to simplify code rather than for any tangible benefit. Once you've proved the code, feel free to re-instate the {{

Thanks again for your work clerking the CHU pages. In general, usurps are only processed in a speedy manner when it is to merge with a pre-existing SUL. There are a limited number of other reasons that come rarely (e.g. indef blocked targets blocked for vandalism), but "vanilla" usurps will usually still be held for 7 days - just FYI. Keep up the good work, – xeno talk 17:20, 23 September 2010 (UTC) I realize I probably created this belief with my edit summaries, but the "main" and contingent reason was always the SUL
← One thing that we really don't have any hard-and-fast guiderules on are SUL conflicts for other-project accounts. In general, if an account has been inactive for over a year, and has less than about 25 edits per year of inactivity, I wouldn't consider it a blocker for SUL-claim purposes ( e.g.). So I wouldn't really worry about talking about best claim in situations where the other-project accounts are lightly used and quite dormant (though it may be worthwhile to point them out so the user knows they may have to usurp them on other projects to fully unify - especially for "core" projects like commons or meta. [Though, If the SUL already exists, that's another story ( e.g.)]. – xeno talk 12:50, 4 October 2010 (UTC)
Hey, I know you're on wikibreak, so this is a message for when you get back. I just created a template that can be found at User:Cymru.lass/archive notice. It's sort of a notice for people who post messages in talkpages' archives. When you get back, would you look it over? Thanks! --- cymru lass (hit me up)⁄ (background check) 01:22, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Hi, re your recent changes to Template:Str index/getchar. Do they serve some purpose? I'm pretty sure they've broken other templates which were being used to italicize titles in infoboxes. Do you mind if I revert to the previous version, or are your changes needed for something?-- Kotniski ( talk) 13:57, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
Thanks so much for adjusting my userpage! The birthday thing you did was so cool. I really appreciate it. Have a wonderful day! SabrinaMagers talk 17:01, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Sorry to keep bothering you, but I was wondering if you knew how to add a link to your guestbook in your signature? If you do, I'd really owe you. Thanks so much! SabrinaMagers talk 15:44, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
I work for Datamonitor which is a subsidiary of Informa and I personally feel that this company deserves its own article on here. I say this because several other subsidiaries are allowed their own articles but they're generally smaller in size and importance than Datamonitor. e.g. Ovum Ltd.. I would like to start the Datamonitor page but it is protected from being started and I assume that there must be some kind of history here. Should there not be some sort of consistency as to what is allowed to be created and what is not? Ovum Ltd. is actually a subsidiary of Datamonitor and gets its own article? This may all seem a bit petty but as Datamonitor has over 1,000 staff and massive revenues I think it would make sense to have a short entry for it. What do you think? ...isn't stripping CURRENT or NEW from the most important part - the rename button =] Might be best to do the stripping once and pass it to a nested template, but I'll leave that to you to decide. – xeno talk 15:41, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
