A tag has been placed on Stauroteuthis syrtensis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content. You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{
hangon}}
to the top of
the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on
the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact
one of these admins to request that they
userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.

In the Portal:Fish/Quiz Some users are going against Rule 3 that says "You now have the baton and 24 hours to post a new question. If a new question is not posted by you within that time limit, anyone can volunteer and post a new question instead. You and the volunteer can't answer this question. The volunteer asker gets ONE bonus point for every three questions he or she posted this way in a tournament." what should i do? Pnwnature ( talk) 23:05, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
On 6 November 2011, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Stauroteuthis syrtensis, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that the octopus Stauroteuthis syrtensis (pictured) glows but nobody knows for what purpose? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Stauroteuthis syrtensis.You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page ( here's how, quick check) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
