You actually bothered to read my blog[s]? I'm seriously flattered, but since I'm getting whiplash from logging on to ridiculous amounts of blog accounts, (and b/c of the suckiness of Bravenet blogs) I am just starting one blog and using tags to figure out the different sets. Please leave comments for me at my homepage's forums or something, at least until I decide which blog I am using as a main thing, since I think, as you so kindly pointed out to me, we should stop using Wikipedia as a social-networking site. Greetings from the Artemis Fowl Project. Your name is listed on our participants page, but we are unsure of how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the Project's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the Project, please add your name to the active list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the current work. On behalf of the Project, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Happy editing, The Artemis Fowl Project Coordinators'. |

Thanks for the archival of my talk page-I was going to do it myself, but I couldn't figure it out. Isn't automatic archival of ONE DAY a bit much? Well, do what you like. I got a new email (parents still blissfully unaware): my first name pronounced backwards (divide into syllables and put them backwards) DOT my first name DOT my first name spelled backwards @ gmail.com. Use that to contact me instead of the talk page, and we can stop the whole rigmarole. And I intend to be at Chamber Music tomorrow. Simple. I have Tor installed, so I simply enabled it in Firefox, then kept telling Tor to provide me with a new exit node. Then, every time I got a new node, I went to Special:Mytalk (try this while logged out- it'll just show your username) and checked whether someone had dropped a notice about it being blocked on there. There are various ways. The main way I use is to look at the ClueBot portscan or run the port scanners I have, and then use Firefox to connect through the IP as a proxy. Nwwaew ( Talk Page) ( Contribs) ( E-mail me) 01:31, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi Calvin,
I am new to Wikipedia. I would like the page that bears my name, after a search of "Greg Snyder", to list my biography. Someone with a similar name to mine, a "Ggreg Snyder" has a redirect on my page to his own biography. That's fine, as long as my info is not deleted and we can both be listed under my name heading. I updated my page before to talk about me, but someone deleted my info and returned it to his redirect heading. How can this be rectified?
Tell me how it works.

Yes, I have been vandalized that many times. This is not surprizing considering that at least 18500 of my ~20000 edits are vandalism reversions and warnings. Several people have asked me why I don't protect my userpages. This is what I told them:
“ | Yeah, I know I get vandalized a lot. I've considered protecting my userpage, but in my mind, protecting my userpage does two things:
The reason I have all that crap on my userpage is to force vandals to work if they want to vandalize my userpage unobtrusively. Unless you know HTML and wikimarkup fairly well, you will not be able to figure out what is going on with my userpage. So basically, the only thing they can do is blank the page and/or add content that will be obviously out of place. Or they can add stuff to that banner, which I could quote to you in my sleep... |

Hello, I recalled seeing one of your questions on the Help desk, and when I answer a user's question, I often check the user's page to get an idea of the user's editing experience on Wikipedia. In the real world, I often tell adults about the benefits of editing on wikis, but I find many of my fellow old farts are terrified to learn anything new after the age of 25 or so, and for lots of people that was so long ago that they probably cannot remember what learning feels like. Naturally I like to twit them by noting that lots of middle school students are able to figure out how to edit on Wikipedia, and some have even become administrators. I'm curious about how much of Wikipedia you were able to learn just by browsing around the site and reading the friendly manuals. Did you get help from humans in the real world, or did you learn Wikipedia with nothing but your Internet connection? -- Teratornis ( talk) 07:04, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

I frequently visit Wikipedia to read about a variety of things. When I hopped on tonight, I had a message from you about a change made to an edit I supposedly did on the 'Maine' page. I am confused. I have never made any changes to ANY pages on Wikipedia. I wouldn't have a clue how and don't feel I'm an authority to comment on anything anyway. Hi Calvin,
I am new to Wikipedia.

Thank you so much for your rapid response to my image inquiry at the Help Desk. The pic is in the article now! Again, thanks. Nick Graves ( talk) 00:08, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Hello Calvin 1998 - I have just spent half an hour adding stuff to the page on San_Clemente_Abbey in the Abruzzo in order to flesh it out, add further information, correct a mistake and add a link to a whole lot of photos. And you wipe out all this work after one minute saying that it is not useful. Please explain exactly what is not useful and what your qualifications are for saying this because there is not much point in wasting time trying to help Wikipedia if this sort of nonsense is what happens. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.134.85.85 ( talk) 06:48, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
Thanks - fyi an Ambo is used for readings whereas a pulpit is for for preachings (most churches had both) - a medieval distinction which I guess it would be unreasonable to expect 2008 rollback tools to know about! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.134.85.85 ( talk) 07:08, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

You reverted the edit I made, saying it appeared "unconstructive." What did I change (it was a while ago)? Kritical Hit ( talk) 01:43, 10 April 2008 (UTC)Kritical Hit
