Hello, I saw that you made the SVG version of the imperial seal of the Ming dynasty, as I have trouble with both seal script and generating good SVG images I wonder if you are open to create two specific images upon request? Specifically for the Nguyễn lords and Nguyễn dynasty articles. -- Donald Trung ( talk) 20:44, 22 February 2021 (UTC)

Bkissin ( talk) 14:04, 16 March 2021 (UTC)On 23 April 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Khá Bảnh, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that due to Khá Bảnh's success, a dance move originally performed by Big Bang's G-Dragon became a trend in Vietnam? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Khá Bảnh. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page ( here's how, Khá Bảnh), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

As i can't add a general question in WikiProject China (long story, I once used emoji's in my signature and am now banned from most namespaces on Wikipedia because of it) I think that it might be wise to consult you on this as you know more of Oriental seal culture than I do. I recently realised that the Heirloom Seal of the Realm fulfilled the status of "Imperial seal" for most dynasties in Chinese history but wasn't sure if I should add the seal to the infoboxes of the dynasties and/or kingdoms this seal has belonged to. I already added it to the Qin Dynasty infobox but aren't sure if I should also add it to later infoboxes. What are your thoughts on it? -- Donald Trung ( talk) 13:47, 23 May 2021 (UTC)

— Hankiz 12:30, 7 August 2021 (UTC)

If you want a good way to identify historical negationism in Vietnam I would direct you to " Historiography in the Soviet Union#Theoretical approaches" " Chinese historiography#Marxism", specifically:
The official historical view within the People's Republic of China associates each of these stages with a particular era in Chinese history.
Now project this onto Vietnamese history you get:
The same applies to North Korean historiography, notice how common the term "Phong kiến" (封建) appears in Communist Chinese, Communist Vietnamese, and Communist Korean historiographies, Joseon is called "Triều Tiên Phong kiến Vương triều" (朝鮮封建王朝) in North Korea. Meanwhile go over any South Korean history text book and look for the term "Phong kiến", it's simply much rarer. The problem with Vietnamese historiography is that the Vietnamese communities in France and the United States aren't producing anything that goes against the Socialist narrative, Chinese historiography has Taiwan (for what that is worth with the strong anti-Chinese sentiment in the Taiwanese nationalist movement that often love to adopt Communist Party frameworks to mis-represent what it means to be "Chinese") and Korean historiography has the much more influential and scientifically based South Korean historiography. Most foreign historians won't criticise Socialist Vietnamese historiography because that would mean losing access to Vietnam and its archives, archaeological sites, and other resources and if you're a historian specialised in Vietnam you would have to follow the party line, Overseas Vietnamese might criticise the historiography but the Vietnamese Communist Party can just learn from the Chinese Communist Party in how to control their respective country's diaspora and Little Saigon's can turn into Little Hanoi's in a generation, notice how little critical thought against Chinese historiography comes from the Overseas Chinese. This is also why I don't remove "feudal" and "feudalism" from articles about Chinese and Vietnamese history on Wikipedia, because of the fact that our contemporary mainstream historiography supports its inclusion even if it's actually is just historical revisionism. -- Donald Trung ( talk) 21:13, 15 August 2021 (UTC)

Maybe it would be wise to start a global ban request for Musée Annam as then the WMF could get involved with stopping his socks (if successful) as they've done this for a number of community global bans. A week ago I still had some respect for this user as they added a large amount of good files, but with their uncivilised conduct I don't think that this user should ever be allowed to return. I can't ask for a global ban because I'm not allowed on the Meta-Wiki, but this user's abuse needs to be stopped.
