Heya. Wikipedia:Administrators should answer most of your questions. An admin is actually just a normal editor that can do more stuff, like blocking users or deleting articles. This does not mean that an admin has anything to say over the content of an article, so you can't be an admin over a certain category, no. If you are an admin, you can use the additional features everywhere. There was some discussion about the possibilty to request just certain features, like page protection or article deletion, but currently you can only apply for the whole package of responsibility and work. -- Conti| ✉ 23:55, 18 March 2006 (UTC) reply
How am I vandalising pages? I'm creating new pages to put into a category called Contributors to Economic Methodology. ~ACUMENSCH
Sorry if saying "Vandalism" sounded rude, but the articles you were creating did not have much sense to them. Instead of just creating blank pages to place them in a category, you should add some good useful content to the pages before creating them, and then you should mark them as a stub so other users will take note of the articles (and contribute to them in anyway they can). If you have any other questions or comments, feel free to post them here. Alan Talk - Contributions 21:46, 2 October 2006 (UTC) reply
How do I mark pages as stubs? Is there something wrong with creating pages and then elaborating on them later? Next time i will make them in word, and them paste them.
Go Here. Those are the different stub categories. clicking on one of them should tell you how to mark a page as a stub in that category. ;)
I appreciate it! SkerHawx 22:14, 21 October 2006 (UTC) reply
Well he might've not had a sockpuppet case filed against him before. Lucky 6.9 probably just discovered it and investigated it himself. Also, say if there was a prior case against him, all you would have to do is change the link to the Sockpuppt Case to " Wikipedia:Suspected_sock_puppets/Hanna_Films (2nd)", and then edit from there. I hope this solves your problem. Alan Talk - Contributions 22:32, 21 October 2006 (UTC) reply

Thanks for your help in keeping the vandals at bay. Please would you also consider placing warnings on the user talk pages. The administrators patrolling WP:AIV will check to see if a user has been warned sufficiently before an account or IP will be blocked. By adding a notification you assist in blocking the vandals sooner.

Immoral Nazi ideology should always be reported. If you do not get that , I am sorry for Wiki. I am even thinking of reportiong people like you, who pose as administrators and defend people who are contaminating Wiki with clear Nazi propaganda. To be honest, I worry very much about the possible contents of Wiki when I see what I see. Most users who have been following Thulean, me, Sugaar, Globe, Psichohistorian, etc, agree about his more than obvious Nazi Nordicist agenda and he is using this palce to spread it. What are we supposed to do? Not denounce it? Be quiet? And now you vandalize the discussion page and give warnings to others? There are people who are decent. When I see the most satanic of ideologies be treated as if it was just another opinion or viewpoint I get sick. Veritas et Severitas 03:51, 11 November 2006 (UTC) reply

Hi. You added a lowercase tag to this article. I don't agree that the correct title is eFax. In generic use, one would say "I got an e-fax today" or "I got an efax today", along the same lines as "e-mail" or "email". And the program referred to is called "efax". Only the fax service mentioned is called "eFax". Accordingly, I'll take the liberty of removing the tag. Rwxrwxrwx 12:28, 19 November 2006 (UTC) reply

Some of the links I'm fixing are embedded in paragraph, either as footnotes or just a link directly from the text in the paragraph. Many others are at the bottom of the article under external links. There is a discussion on going here that might be of interest to you about the future of this project. There are two strawpolls on the talk pages and the second one is about the future of the WP:UW project. Now we have the end in sight we are looking at wrapping up the project and merging it with Template messages/User talk namespace WP:UTM and creating a one stop shop for all userspace template issue.

Thanks

I've left a message on the project talk page; since they're your templates, I thought I should mention it here too. Good work though :) Rawling 23:18, 13 January 2007 (UTC) reply

I did not make the page and Bill Foran is very well known in North Texas in addition to around the country for reasons discussed on the discussion page. Reinstate the page. âThe preceding unsigned comment was added by Rpritchie ( talk ⢠contribs).

Hi, I haven't added your new edit summary templates over to the UW project, as they weren't around when we first started. But I don't see a reason why they shouldn't be added if you would like to give them a go. Cheers Khukri ( talk . contribs) 14:44, 22 January 2007 (UTC) reply

Frotunately, I did find it but the page is totally messed up. there is nothing on the page at all. well, since you are a more expierenced wikipedian than I am I would like you to fix it. My name is IBM Thinkpad and I'm just wanting to say that the naked brothers band page needs some work. Thanks for your cooperation, your time and your money#

Hi ... Thanks for the message on my talk page about the DL project. Since I don't know how to add a reply to a topic, I'm posting a reply here. I hope that's OK.
You say "{{Dl-s}}, unlike other dead link templates, goes after the dead link, not in place of it". I'm not clear under what circumstance I'm supposed to use each of the templates. Some of the links I'm fixing are embedded in paragraph, either as footnotes or just a link directly from the text in the paragraph. Many others are at the bottom of the article under external links. Can you give me some guidance?

Hi, Sorry for the blatant spam, but you have yourself down as active at WikiProject user warnings WP:UW. As you are or have been active on this project we feel you may have some input on this issue, and would like you to visit the discussion and give any thoughts you may have on the matter. Dear Iced Kola/Archive! You are receiving this newsletter because you have signed up as a member of WikiProject Ice Hockey. The purpose of this newsletter is to update on the goings on of the project, as there have been major changes, and a lot of new recognized content in the past few weeks. If you are an inactive user, you probably won't recognize the new and improved state of the WikiProject! From the project, Maxim. By

By
Maxim Upon some discussion on the WikiProject talk page, the Article Improvement Drive page was revamped by Krm500 and Maxim. It was renamed Wikipedia:WikiProject Ice Hockey/Article Improvement, and it includes two section. The first section is called articles in dire need of improvement. It list articles, usually important, that are in very poor shape. The second section is called requested help. Users list an article they request help improving a certain article, which will facilitate collaboration, which is the aim of any WikiProject. There is one article currently listed there, Henrik Lundqvist, here. The goal is to at least get it to Good article status. By
Maxim In the past few weeks, there has been quite heated discussion about the use of diacritics in article name. The current guideline is using diacritics in the pages of articles of all player names which require them, but redirects are exempt. By
Maxim This task force was initiated by Krm500. Its current goal is to improve Henrik Lundqvist to Good or Featured article status. It covers all Swedish clubs, leagues and competitions and associated articles, players and coaches that are Swedish, or have played/coached for a Swedish club, and arenas in Sweden. They plan to eventually operate as a sort of a sub-project, which will have its own articles for creation, ranking importance and quality of articles, and co-ordinate article improvement. Its current members are Krm500, Bamsefar75, and CLAES. This task force was initiated by Bsroiaadn. Its goal is to improve New Jersey Devils to Featured Topic status. Although it currently meets the required article count, the task force wishes to improve it further. Its area of coverage is very similar to the Sweden Ice Hockey task force. Its members are Bsroiaadn, JHMM13, FutureNJGov, Sportskido8, Michael Greiner, JRWalko, and Soxrock. By

Ralbot ( talk) 19:00, 18 December 2007 (UTC) reply Terribly curious. This is a horse race among many horse races of interest to those who follow the world and history of Thoroughbred horse racing. Is there something different about this race which merits speedy deletion? If there is a criterion for a race that can be included and a race that can't, I ask with all due respect that you help me understand what that is. The race has been on wikepedia for quite some time. Today I added a tag on its discussion page that I ought to have added a long time ago. And suddenly it is to be speedily deleted? As you are an editor and I am not, please, help me understand this. JiggeryPokery ( talk) 00:33, 27 December 2007 (UTC) reply I don't understand. I did not create a new article. The race article has existed for some time. All I did today was go into the existing article's discussion page and add a thoroughbred tag to indicate it was part of the Thoroughbred horse topic on wikipedia, and a California tag to indicate it's a part of what interests Californians. The information on the race page is as much as can be found on many race pages. I spend quite a bit of time time trying to find the winners and winning jockies on some race pages, but when I do, I add them. Or if I find some bit of history pertinant to the race, for example: an very famous racehorse made his or her first start in this race. Other than that, the article is there and added to as things come in. It is not a new article and was never before considered for speedy deletion. I think there is some confusion here about the actual article and its discussion page which has the only two tags I added today. JiggeryPokery ( talk) 01:40, 27 December 2007 (UTC) reply

If you have any questions about the tool please ask me on my user talk page. ·Add§hore· Talk/ Cont 18:09, 16 June 2008 (UTC) reply Thanks for uploading Image:0708playoff towel.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. -- ImageTaggingBot ( talk) 23:17, 17 June 2008 (UTC) reply I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. PeterSymonds (talk) 21:49, 23 June 2008 (UTC) reply Hey, just wanted to thank you for reverting the vandalism to my user page! First time I've ever been vandalised, certainly not going to be the last. It was like my third edit on huggle, though, so I'm a tad worried about this becoming more commonplace!!
