Hello "Gwalla" and welcome to Wikipedia. A few tips for you:
Ah, gwalla! This is Ben from #avalon. Just stumbled upon your userpage and felt like saying "hi". Kairos 07:20, 4 Jun 2004 (UTC)
I saw your post about Professional wrestling in Japan on Requested Translations and did a rough translation. Would you mind checking it? I am no expert on puroresu and might contain some weird statements. Thanks. 朝彦 04:28, Jun 5, 2004 (UTC)
Please use Category:Page description languages as page description languages are not exactly file formats. Thanks Dysprosia 07:36, 13 Jun 2004 (UTC)
I would like to compliment you on your well written entry on the avant-garde manga anthology garo. I updated the information a bit, and hope to eventually get more information on how it fell apart. I really appreciate someone writing about alternative japanese cartooning, because much of the anime and manga community seems more preoccupied with panty shots and giant robots than focusing on the works that give them justification for calling their obsession art.-- Neilworms 07:24, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Hi, I had just finished working on the "Professional wrestling slang" category when I noticed you were moving wrestlers from "Professional wrestling" to "Professional wrestlers". Quite a bit of editing work. I had been planning on doing the exact same thing, so since you started from the As and worked down, I started from the Zs and worked up. I stopped after doing the Ms. Thanks, Benc 19:04, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Ah, I had just moved Blade (professional wrestling) to Blading (professional wrestling) and was fixing redirects when I saw it listed on your user page. Once again, we were planning on doing the exact same thing. :-) I followed your suggestion and reorganized the Blading article to focus on the verb. • Benc • 07:27, 12 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Hi there,
I wonder would you consider reversing your decision to delete this article. I have substantially rewritten it. A united EU team is not going to happen. I've discussed potential EU co-operation towards the olympics, and kept the table. I believe the table is valid, for us Europeans/EUians to see how the area has fared as a whole. Please comment on my talk page if you still feel the article should be deleted.

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 1000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:
OR
Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}" with "{{MultiLicensePD}}". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man ( comment| talk)
Hi, Gwalla. I've enjoyed using the infobox for languages, and assume it's your design: so, thanks! Would it be possible to insert a parameter for text colour as some of the background colours don't work well with black text? I realise that every article with the infobox would have to be modified, but I can't see an easier way of allowing it. I might have a go at altering the template (very carefully). Let me know what you think. Gareth Hughes 00:10, 3 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Hi Gwalla, thanks for supporting my prowrestling-stub idea and your kind words about my contribs. If you find a better picture for the stub template, feel free to change it; I just couldn't come up with a better one. It might be tricky to find a picture of two wrestlers in a tie-up, say, that would be high enough quality to be recognizable in such a small space, but I agree that it would be more representative than just Rock's headshot. -- Chrysaor 23:31, Feb 20, 2005 (UTC)

Looking back over this and seeing mostly support, I made a specific proposal in Wikipedia_Talk:What Wikipedia is not. Seeing no comments after several days, I went ahead and put it in.
Existing policy does cover this in principle, but the problem is that people that want to put in articles about a great new video game that's just about to be released, or articles about elements that are yet to be discovered, assert that they are not speculative or unverifiable. I wanted to enumerate some specific kinds of articles that we get fairly frequently and clarify that these are to be considered prima facie inappropriate.
Admittedly, its a long section in WP:NOT that may well be covering around that is implicitly covered already, but I wanted to have it. So far nobody seems to be screaming loudly about it. Dpbsmith (talk) 15:14, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)

True. Just examine the WWE's Terms. "Home use only." Quite a shame, though. The images really do capture the articles they are placed in. That is a beautiful drop kick by Edge... I think if we abide by the "I saw nothing" saying, hopefully, they will stay for a while longer..
