Could I get you to undelete the image File:BarackStepdad.JPG? I had uploaded it and put a fair use rationale on it back in November 2008. Someone modified the image and then used it for the article Lolo Soetoro. Apparently they didn't or weren't able to put license tags and/or rationale on this modified image sufficient to comply with Wikipedia policies. The original photo and rationale did fall within policy. If the orginal photo could be undeleted, I'd like to put it back up on the subject article. Thanks in advance. Hello East718, I noticed you're one of a chain of administrators who blocked sockpuppets of user:Melienas, in this case User:Cheares. He/she is not recreating accounts in bad faith, as is clearly evident from his/her openness about it. I would therefore like to unblock this account, based on what I wrote at WP:HD#How to prevent a vicious circle of account creation and blocking. I'll watch that account and nudge them towards becoming a normal editor. Would that be OK with you? — Sebastian 18:22, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Hello! I just noticed that you deleted File:Great eastern sun.gif a couple months ago as a duplicate image. Do you remember where the duplicate is though? I searched for it and couldn't find it, yet the deleted one is still referenced on the Shambhala Buddhism page and I need to swap to the other one you knew of. Thanks! - Owlmonkey ( talk) 19:56, 2 March 2009 (UTC)
Hi East. Today your bot appears to have mistakenly protected a redirect to today's FA ( Hurricane Linda), but left the actual article unprotected ( Hurricane Linda (1997)). I think this also happened a few months ago, but I can't remember which article it was. Is there any way to tweak it so this doesn't happen? Thanks. -- Bongwarrior ( talk) 00:47, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
You deleted this image: "Trick/Treat" card as a non-free use image. I know it's been a whiel, but can you tell me anything about the image? I think it would be good to have an image of these cards in the Ambigram article and haven't been able to find one that's available. The best was a screencap I found on Flickr. The guy who took the screencap would allow it, but I think that wouldn't count as fair use. Your thoughts? RoyLeban ( talk) 06:25, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Could you please undelete
File:GutsBerserk.PNG and
File:GriffithBerserk.PNG? They were deleted due to them not being free and not being used on any pages for more than seven days. At the time the pages had been merged with a general list of characters, and the images were not used. To my knowledge, this merge (deletion and redirect of the character pages) was done without warning and seemed to have no support or mention that it would happen in the talk pages of the related articles. This mistake was not fixed until well after the seven day mark. It has been undone although the images in question were deleted but are still part of the infoboxes.

Hey there East718, could you restore File:Mixtape messiah3.jpg? The cover was removed when Mixtape Messiah 3 was vandalized in this edit and went unnoticed. Diverse Mentality 22:34, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

I was looking over the Crowded House site and saw the elimination of a photo of Mike Hart from the Wikimedia Commons-- where I am quite new, and your name was there. I was wondering why you deleted the image? Copyvio or bad image? Thanks. -- leahtwosaints ( talk) 12:38, 14 March 2009 (UTC)

Is there some limit on who can add to the AbuseFilter? I've formulated and checked a filter to stop new users from removing AFD comments, but there is no obvious way to add it. P.S. I have en.wikipedia admin access. - Mgm| (talk) 13:43, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
While the filter that looks for pages being replaced with obscenities has had a few false positives, those were fixed when Werdna added "& old_size >= 1000" to the filter. Since then, there have been no false positives. Would you mind if I were to enable the "disallow" action on the filter again? {{ Nihiltres| talk| log}} 13:59, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
Please check the history of a file before deleting it for lacking a license. This file has a proper license which had been removed by a vandal. I know that was a long time ago, I just noticed it now and restored it. Peace. Chillum 00:58, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I'm not sure who deleted the problematic edits on the Erwin James article, but his alleged real name has been posted again to the article's talk page ( diff). The talk page may need to be oversighted and protected as well. -- Muchness ( talk) 11:56, 21 March 2009 (UTC)

Recently, I have cited an article regarding Stenavich's college career. An IP address user has continually removed the content because he/she feels that it is in error. I have proper citations, and I have warned the user. Could you please take a look at it? Thanks! Keystoneridin ( talk) 05:20, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
Could you point at an example of the vandalism you are targeting with filter 42? Right now it benchmarks as our second slowest filter, probably because it using the expensive rcount function against every edit. I'd like to see if there is a faster way to do what you want, but I'm not sure what the vandalism in this case looks like and there has never been a hit. East718, your deletion of the talk page was the wrong thing to do. That talk page contains in its history a lot of material relevent to the development (and misdevelopment) of mainspace articles. It also contains records relevent to the development of WP:MEDRES and wikipedia mediation issues. I think the page should be blanked, possibly protected, but with the full history available. -- SmokeyJoe ( talk) 00:49, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
