RIP, I didn't know him personally, but his
AdminStatsBot was invaluable for my work on the
former administrators page and of course
HBC AIV helperbot5's worth is incalculable. I think it's remarkable that he kept his bots running for sixteen years, through all the software/hardware changes that happened during that time, including the changeover from the
Toolserver.

Sad news. I didn't see James around too, too often, but he was one of the most amicable people I've had the pleasure of interacting with on Wikipedia. He'll be missed.

Gerda Arendt: It took quite a lot of fiddling to figure out how to do it ... but I've managed it! I also disabled archiving while I was here because it's not needed now.
