Thanks for the great work expanding the notable players section in North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball. I've wanted to do something like that but never had the time, diligence or brain organization. Great work! Mosmof ( talk) 09:55, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
Hi, I saw that you have been busy on the 1988 Giro article. Great! I don't know if you are still planning to improve it, but in case you want, some sources:
From that last source, you can see that there are a few secondary classifications that you did not add yet:
I saw that you took the explanation for the jerseys from a 2008 article, but this might not be that accurate for 1988... It is still correct as far as I know: the general classification, mountains classification and points classification are correct based on information in the sources above. The young riders classification was awarded a white jersey, as seen in photos. ( [1]) But you missed one jersey: the leader of the combination classification wore a blue jersey. Hampsten wore it in the 14th stage before he captured the lead. I don't know if the other classifications awarded jerseys.
I don't mean to force you to work on anything, but I thought you might be interested. If you are not, just ignore it, and maybe once I'll take the time to put it in the article myself. -- EdgeNavidad ( Talk · Contribs) 18:31, 10 August 2011 (UTC)

At present, I've not really thought about having the GAN and GAR going yet; in fact, it's hardly came across my mind while doing them, but that may have been due to the fact that I've been concentrating on double-duty with Paris-Nice and Tirreno going on at the same time (boy, does the text labour sometimes when doing two in one)! I have been searching for information about how the team classification was calculated in the Giri 1909 to 1911, hoping to add this before the GA reviews, but I did not find it. I now strongly suggest that there was no team classification in those years, and that the 'winning teams' that are listed now, are simply the teams of the GC winners, added later on to make the lists complete. It is hard to find evidence that something did not exist. There are indeed sources that say that Atala won the team classification in 1909 (for example source 6, Bike Race Info) but I suspect that these sources are all copying the same mistake. The first year where I know for sure that there was a separate team classification was 1930 (apart from 1912). I am mentioning this to you, not because I want you to remove the team winners from the 1909 to 1929 articles, but to warn you that it is difficult to find information on this. -- EdgeNavidad ( Talk · Contribs) 17:36, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I know that bikeraceinfo.com and cyclingarchives gives the team name as Jolly Ceramica, but that is clearly a mistake, and I don't think we should maintain that typo in any articles. Check for example the promo image here or this jersey image. The name is clearly Jollj with a j, and we should correct this mistake. JudoonCyclist ( talk) 19:20, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
[4] you took out stuff that made the ref better?
The main purpose of my edit was to correct the duplicate parameter error: the template had duplicate |author=
fields, so I removed Maurizio Caravella, as his name is not given in the source (the
La Stampa article is credited to Gianni Pignata). I also removed format=PDF
, as the source is not a PDF. I removed |publisher=
, as there is no need to state the publisher if the name of the newspaper is already given, especially if it is a major newspaper (though I won't object if you really want to put that one back in). --
