Thanks. What my idea is, is to make it shorter, remove the image on the side. Make the whole thing change color. And to also make it longer with rounded corners. Yeah, I figured as much. Let's see if I can give you a better visual. About as long as your's, however with rounded corners, and the whole thing will change colors, with the text over top of the color, with it just sayin' the condition or alert next too it. Project news There's just under two months until the 2008-2009 college football season kicks off, but that's no reason to stop editing! Plenty of historical articles, such as past bowl games, need to be written, and editors are always needed to update teams' season articles. Don't fall into the summer malaise — check out the to-do list on the Wikiproject College football talk page. A discussion about notability guidelines in regards to individual college football players is continuing on the project talk page and at Wikipedia:WikiProject College football/Notability#Players. Editors are requested to leave comments and suggestions at either location for consideration. The College Football Portal needs to be updated with featured articles and pictures. Do you have a great picture that illustrates the best of college football? Consider adding it to the featured image queue on the portal. Hi, I could help you with adding all of the categories and such to the players page, but I'm not too fluent in all the wikipedia things regarding assessing articles and such, and mainly the only thing I've done for the AFL pages in the last few months is update all of the season articles for each team with results from each week. That's pretty much all I'm good for on wikipedia, just adding facts, lol. Unfortunately though, for the next few days I'm working from afternoons until 9pm EST, and my one day off from now until Thursday I'm attending a Tampa Bay Rays game, so I'm not sure I can be of much help for the next few days since I'll have only a few hours of time on a computer during the night... Hey there. I just wanted to take a bit of time to welcome you to the Arena Football Wikiproject. There hasn't been much activity there recently, and as much as I'd like to help, I don't have the time to do everything. While the whole of arena football needs work, I particularly concern myself with af2, since those articles tend to get badly neglected. I have at least gotten the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers article into better shape than it had been and added pages for each of the team's seasons (the Pioneers are, of course, my favorite af2 team, hence the special attention from me). Unfortunately, I'm the only one I know with any form of interest in the AFL. I'd love to see all of the articles expanded and fixed up, but I only have limited time and interest. I like watching the AFL on TV and stuff, but until they expand into Boston, I have no vested interest in anything in particular. I'm more into the af2 and the Pioneers, so I keep up more with the happenings in that league. That and the fact that I absolutely hate doing research and writing stuff - it's all college's fault. ;) Anyway, yeah, it seems it's pretty much you and I on the AFL. Let's knock their socks off. I was checking it out today (the John Syptak article had a stray character because of it, BTW), and I just was wondering what exactly is different about it. Currently, Template:Infobox gridiron football player can handle both NFL and CFL players; I'm sure if you asked User:Chrisjnelson or someone else who knows it well to implement the AFL parts into it, they'd be glad to. Also, I noticed that you were adding Category:National Football League players onto players' articles; generally, the team player category suffices. Pats1 is right, I don't have any problem adding anything to the NFLactive infobox to make it completely AFL compatible. While it may have NFL in the name, I always intended it to be usable for players in any league. If you think there is something it's needing to make it this way, let me know and we'll add it. We can definitely work on having the NFL debut thing replaced with an AFL debut one for current AFL players. First of all, Crash, take a deep breath. You sounded pretty damn angry in your response. Secondly, yes, there was a stray character (a "<" that was underneath the template and would show up above the rest of the article's text; I've taken care of that. Thirdly, the gridiron football person (read: not NFL-only; there is no such template) infobox can be modified very easily for it says AFL debut when it's an AFL player, CFL when it's a CFL, etc. Just ask Chris. So finally, I suggest that you do talk with Chris, because holding some grudge (unbeknown to me) is just silly. Also, the reason I changed it from Defensive Linemen to Defensive end is because when you put a position into this infobox, you put it as the article is links to. Well it's not something I'm going to fight anyone on. It's just not something that ever occurred to me or seemed necessary, and when I thought up the infobox (Jmfangio created but it was my idea) I always intended it to work for every league. So, when it comes to a player like Harrell, you shouldn't think of him having an "NFL infobox" because it's not supposed to be that. However, I will admit that it does have some aspects that hinder its use for other leagues currently. Though I would be willing to work on that, since like I said I always wanted it to work for any league. Hi. It's a matter of correct filing procedures. Wikipedia:Categorization. You place the article in the team players category which is itself in the AFL players category, which is in Players of American football category, which is in Sportspeople cat, which is in people cat. Faces of Fear (link), Maria Kanellis (link), Paul London (link), Survivor Series (1994) (link), The Mega Bucks (link) and WWE SmackDown (video game series) (link) have been elevated to Good article status. Backlash (2003), Dark Angel (wrestler), Juggernaut (wrestler), SummerSlam (1988), SummerSlam (2004), and Survivor Series (2004) are currently Good article candidates. Lockdown (2008) (link) and Survivor Series (2007) (link) are currently under Peer Review. Category:Vengeance is being discussed at WP:CFD for renaming, it's discussion page can be found here. Ok- they were just three quick suggestions, but I'll try and expand on them.

1. At the moment, the only citations are to Blabbermouth- a variety of reliable sources should be cited. Has the subject ever been interviewed? Any articles discussing them in music magazines? Were they discussed in reviews? Have you checked Allmusic? Citing reliable sources is very important, but a good encyclopedia article draws from many sources.
2. Citation templates format your references in a more standard way- for instance, this page (first result on Google News) is a news item, so it would use the news citation template. Other common ones are for books and general web pages. Anyway, the filled up news template looks like this- Jesse Jackson apologised for criticising Barack Obama.<ref>{{cite news |first= Jake|last= Tapper|coauthors= Parker, Jennifer|title= Jesse Jackson Apologizes for Open Mic Slight Against Obama|url=http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/Vote2008/story?id=5346657&page=1|publisher= [[ABC News]]|date= [[2008]]-[[07-10]]|accessdate=2008-07-10 }}</ref>
3. In the prose, when there is not an article for an album, you link to the Allmusic entry for the album. This looks rather unprofessional, and so I would remove them and just not link to anything (or perhaps write an article for the album, if it's notable). However, the pages you're linking to could be useful as sources, as Allmusic is very much a reliable source.

Frankly, the easiest way to create a newsletter is to shamelessly copy the design and structure of someone else's. That's what I did when I was creating the college football newsletter -- it's an almost direct copy of the Wikiproject Military History one, right down to the way the thing is distributed. From your Wikiproject's main page, simply set it up like I've got the college football newsletter, changing things as needed. For distribution, talk to someone who runs a bot that distributes other newsletters. I use BrownBot ... other people use other bots. Ask around. JKBrooks85 ( talk) 09:01, 11 July 2008 (UTC) reply

Looks good to me. I see you've copied the wrestling style. That works well. If you feel like you're overwhelmed, don't hesitate to drop a section or two. I'd also shy away from concrete deadlines, since life happens and you may not be able to get things done on time. It's not a time-sensitive thing, anyway. But keep up the good work! Looks great. I believe that different newsletters have different requirements based on the bot that's been set up to deliver them. What works for us may not work for you. Unfortunately I've never looked into how to make infoboxen collapsible - it's a problem I've run into myself. The best place to ask would be on template talk:infobox - the folks watching that page know the template syntax inside out and should be more useful to you. Hope that helps.
