Re: Winkler. Between the "sounding a pedant" part and you're coming back with a second round of new concerns, the process felt dispiriting -- brownies aside. I can get access to several newspapers via (one) of my library cards - is this the info you were looking for on Johnnie Boden?
"Rich list" from the Sunday Times, 21 April 2013:
position = 368 "Pounds 215m Pounds 105m
Johnnie Boden and family Fashion and mail order Profits in Boden, the mail order and internet fashion retailer, fell sharply in 2011 from Pounds 32.5m to Pounds 17.9m, though sales rose 6% in the period to nearly Pounds 246m. Old Etonian Boden, 51, is looking to America for growth. The London-based operation is worth Pounds 300m, with the family stake worth Pounds 190m. There are other assets and past dividends. 2012: Pounds 320m, position was 255="
Don't know if this might help as well:
"Thatch is latest Boden fashion" by Chittenden, Maurice. Sunday Times [London (UK)] 13 Jan 2008 (it's actually an article about planning application submitted by Boden, hence the title!)
"Boden launched his clothing company in 1991. While on a banking assignment in New York, he was inspired by the high standards set by American mail order firms and on his return to Britain sent out his first catalogue featuring just eight menswear products. The whole operation was run from his flat. Today the internet has become his main business tool, turnover is more than Pounds 128m a year and he employs 600 staff. He made Pounds 22.8m profit in 2006."
SagaciousPhil - Chat 09:57, 3 April 2014 (UTC)
In the UK, sales growth has slowed as even Boden's relatively well-off shoppers, with a typical household income of pounds 70,000, are feeling the economic strain. The company has responded by cutting the price of its cheapest items, such as T-shirts, by about 20% and improving services such as delivery. Boden admits: "This year has not been as great as it should have been." Profits fell 45% to pounds 17.9m on sales of pounds 245.9m in 2011 - the latest figures - amid tough conditions and a big increase in the price of cotton, which is widely used in Boden clothes. But growth abroad and lower cotton prices lifted profits again last year, although the company will not reveal by how much. Boden, who is estimated to be sitting on a pounds 320m fortune according to the Sunday Times rich list, says he has no plans to sell his 60% stake (the rest is owned by former and current staff) or seek outside investment and wants to stay involved in the business "for as long as I'm good at it".

One is the recent 2014 IPC Powerlifting World Championships, which I started on the 8th, and saw 14 out of the 20 winning medalists set world records. I think it has enough text in it to pass DYK, but I can always increase it if you think it needs more puff. Hi Matty
I need your assistance with the Bartholomew Bretherton (jockey) page. I've added some more information to this page regarding the "1836 Grand Liverpool Steeplechase". Having reread it, I feel that I have put it in the wrong place. I don't think it belongs under the heading FAMILY. Perhaps I should have entered a new section "BIOGRAPHY" above and put it there. However, having had problems with formatting previously, I am scared to try to enter anything else and put in any spaces in case the same thing happens. What do you think?
Hi there- this is just a quick note to apologise for a small but important mistake in the last WikiCup newsletter; it is not 64 users who will progress to the next round, but 32. J Milburn ( talk) 18:43, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Working a we speak. I usually like to get an article up to rock-solid start class before I post it, so this is a bit different for me. At the moment I am just chucking stuff in so it will look a bit messy for the next 24 hrs, but I'm sure we will get there. I think the fact that he retired and came back could be DYK worthy. Hi Matty, I've been pottering with a few parasport articles. One is the recent 2014 IPC Powerlifting World Championships, which I started on the 8th, and saw 14 out of the 20 winning medalists set world records. I think it has enough text in it to pass DYK, but I can always increase it if you think it needs more puff. While today's London Marathon winning men's wheelchair racer Marcel Hug, now has an article more befitting an athlete of his prominence. Cheers, FruitMonkey ( talk) 16:25, 13 April 2014 (UTC)

Thank you very much indeed for your comment. Much appreciated. You're absolutely right that there is lot to work with in the DNB article. I honestly don't have time to do much more with the Wiki page myself for the moment, so if you fancy expanding it please go ahead and do so. Hi Matty, I came across your post at the teahouse about a photo for the article Ernest Radcliffe Bond. Just wanted to point out to you that any photo by the UK government prior to 1957 (e.g. a photo during Bond's army career) would be public domain per commons:Template:PD-UKGov. If you have come across any images like that, please upload them so that a free image can replace the image currently in the article! Thanks for your great work on that article!
Agreed. The main reason was I just never got round to adding it! I also intended to produce starter articles for the years so that others could add to them gradually, but I've been very busy recently. One day :) Regards Fishiehelper5 ( talk) 20:03, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for the DYK nomination. To be honest, I don't think I deserve much of the credit for the GA improvement - I just came along after all the work had been done and swept up some of the dust. Looking at the edit history, User:ViperSnake151 did the lion's share of the improving. But thank you again. - Eron Talk 14:45, 27 April 2014 (UTC)
