Hello, I'm just wondering if an admin could change the part that says to capitalize the P, so that it says . (That way, it will appear in the right place on
Category:Redirect templates. Thanks!

I listed this at
WP:RFD because I wish to separate
redirects from alternate punctuation from
redirects from alternate spelling, as they're different.

This page is a double redirect. It should be pointed to Template:Redirect from modification. Thanks Gurch ( talk) 01:36, 12 June 2011 (UTC)

This is a double redirect and should be directed to Template:R from modification. - Camyoung54 talk 23:16, 16 April 2013 (UTC)

Template:R from alternative punctuation has been listed at Redirects for discussion ( nomination), but was protected so could not be tagged. Please add:
{{subst:rfd|showontransclusion=1|content=
to the top of the page to complete the nomination. Thank you. 𝟙𝟤𝟯𝟺𝐪𝑤𝒆𝓇𝟷𝟮𝟥𝟜𝓺𝔴𝕖𝖗𝟰 ( 𝗍𝗮𝘭𝙠) 20:10, 4 February 2021 (UTC)

From comments here and here, I've decided to finally make this redirect. Please replace the page content with the following. Thank you! :)
<noinclude> </noinclude>{{Redirect template |id=R from alternative punctuation |name=From an alternative punctuation |from=a title with an alternative punctuation of {{#if:{{{1|{}}}}|{{{1|{}}}}|the target name}} |info=Pages that link to this redirect may be updated to link directly to the target page if that results in an improvement of the text. Do not "fix" such links if they are not broken. Also, these links should not be replaced with piped links. |all category=Redirects from alternative punctuations }}<noinclude> <!-- Place categories on /doc subpage; interwikis go to Wikidata. --> Documentation </noinclude>

Please merge the content of Template:R from alternative punctuation/sandbox here (see the diff). This change adds the linking to pages provided in the first parameter through no redirect, and also has detection for existing links that would break said template. This is practically identical to the change made at R from modification. This code was tested at the R from alternative spelling testcases subpage, as the same change was just made there. ~ Eejit43 ( talk) 21:45, 15 April 2024 (UTC)
