This doesn't look controversial at first glance, but I do not feel comfortable doing this until the reasons for/effects of
this edit are explained.
User:Gonta-Kun has been pinged to a conversation on this several times at
User talk:Paine Ellsworth, but has not replied.
User:Gonta-Kun, please explain in English or Japanese.

(
Gonta-Kun notes that he has reverted the edits I expressed concerns about.) Gonta, thank you for your willingness to make changes. But since the move request is still open even though the target redirecting elsewhere, I still wonder how the move would affect the pages where the templates are used.

PS. I suspect that the renames at
Template talk:F.C. Gifu and
Template talk:Tochigi S.C. are similarly but technical, also. I read somewhere that full stops (periods) are not used in the Japanese names and so should not be used in English translations. PS left by Paine Ellsworthput'r there 10:01, 13 April 2018 (UTC)reply

Dekimasu: it is totally legit that changing
Template:Ehime FC as a redirect to
Template:Ehime F.C. instead of
Template:Fb team Ehime FC. Template:Fb team Ehime FC should not had redirect and those template should obsolete at all (see previous mass deletion discussion of those "Fb team" templates), the old redirect was a relic of misnaming of the "Fb team" templates series. Also, since the club article was located in
Ehime FC, it is a totally uncontroversial move.
