Richard W. Mayo

  • Interesting article that meets Wikipedia length requirement and is within policy requirements. It also appears to exceed the 5X expansion requirement, but this needs to be checked by someone else as I cannot get the word count tool to work properly on my computer. I manually counted 131 characters in the main hook, so this is well within the limit. QPQ done. There are no images. I found no plagiarism or close paraphrasing issues in the on-line citations, but cannot access the citations that are not on-line. Corrected two misspellings in the article. Either of the two hooks is acceptable, though I think a stronger hook could be:
  • ALT2....that at the 1932 Summer Olympics, Richard W. Mayo became the first American to win a medal in the pentathlon? It is also supported by a citation.
